Games until the split
We will finish where we finish, all we can do is sit back and hope the squad can pull one out of the bag.

It'll never happen (unfortunately)
Thought BBC had their own little April fools joke when i saw this headline....as folks have said, it'll never happen.

Killie looking for new boss
According to BBC he has started immediately. He will be sorely missed by Killie, turned their fortunes around in less than a year and helped them produce the best football i've seen this year.

What's your fondest memory of Roy for ICT
2 things. 1st one was his vicious strike against Aberdeen from about 30 yards in 2004, he cut onto his right foot so last thing i did was expect him to shoot but it was unstoppable. The other was last season against Dunfermline. He was forgotten about all of last season but when Cox got suspended i feared Stratford would be put into what was a must win game, but Butch saw sense and went with Roy and he gave one of the most hard fought and inspiring performances i'd ever seen from a player in an ICT shirt and his commitment and love for the club came through that day. For me we will never get another player like him at the club again.

Injuries this season
Paper says today that Shinnie will miss the rest of the season. Gillet is back at the right time it seems. And Nick Ross has a virus.
-
Least favourite team
Hamilton for pritty much the same reasons as Caley100 plus their boring style of play. Dundee for never knowing when to quit spending. Aberdeen for their false sense of accomplishment. The Old firm for the way they dictate most things in the game.

Team for Celtic
Esson Tokely, Munro, Hogg, Gillet Hayes, Cox, Duncan, Doran Rooney, Foran Subs; Tuffey, Innes, McBain, Ross, Duff, Sutherland, MacDonald.

Injuries this season
Foran was out for the first month with a knee problem at the start of the season. Gillet injured his knee in the Hibs game in September. Was never fully disclosed what he did. Cox had his ankle damaged by a reckless challenge from Ki against Celtic. Blumenshtein tore his groin muscle against Celtic on the opening day. McCann suffered a knee injury which required sutgery and he subsequently returned to Hibs. Chris Innes tore his hamstring against Hearts.

Here we go again - Tuffey or Esson
I'm sure Tuffey is frustrated but i think Esson justified his selection last night with a great performance.

ICT -V- Celtic : Matchnight Thread
I'am proud of the effort we gave last night. We went out there with a very make-shift team and gave it our all, created chances and did our best to take advantage of what little scraps we got. At the end of the day we were up against the best players in the league and while they didn't play well it does show the measure of a team when they win ugly. Very unhappy with the ref. Was a clear penalty and red card, got the first bit right with the help of his linesman but Foran was bearing down on goal, letter of the law is a red card. Some will argue that Celtic got all the free kicks and decisions. I agree with this but have to say if we let this affect the way we play all the time then we are heading for trouble. All i will say we got wrong at the back was panicky clearences and poor marking, get it sorted on the training ground. Top marks for Foran who played out of skin till he was running on empty, Esson for some great handling and the save from Ledley and Shane who despite being played out wide (again) gave 100%, showed some great ability and was unlucky not to score a stunning goal.

NO Tv coverage of tonights game
It's not on. Champions League football takes priority so we lose out.

Tactics for Cellic
I think we should just go with the tactics Butcher drew up in the Courier.

Favourite away stadium experience
Singing you'll never walk alone at Anfield before a game. Put the hairs up on the back of my neck. Was epic!

Pele

Scottish Cup Quarter Final Roll Call
BRING IT ON!!!

John Rankin
With you on this one Mannie. Would add little to what we have already and if he isn't good enough for a new contract at Hibs.......? Johnny Hayes wasnt good enough for a new contract at Leicester, Ryan Esson wasnt worth a new contract at Hereford, it dosen't matter where they were previously. When it comes to getting the best out of players with a point to prove we are arguably the best side around for it.

Scotland XI
You mean the guy who was captain of Hibs then the SPL player-of-the-year when Celtic won the title. Same player that got a lot of plaudits during their Champions League run, only to become captain of EPL club Wigan when he left. Yeah, must be a really terrible player... I guess you're basing it on Tony Mowbray's run, where the central defence was left to fend for themselves with no midfield support, so that Celtic could become 'the new Barcelona'. Name a single defender that did play well for Mowbray? He's also great at falling in his a*se and giving the ball away. Not saying he is a terrible defender but there is defnitely better defenders they could pick.
-
Scotland XI
Gordon Hutton, Berra, McManus, Wallace Brown, Fletcher Dorrans, Commons, Adam Miller Subs: McGregor, Wilson, Bardsley, Bannan, Morrison, Naismith, McFadden.

John Rankin
Would love to see him back as well...imo should never have left (we can thank the inept Brew for that).

Lennon Juanjo incident and other red cards...
Juanjo's ban was rescinded but as i remember Lennon escaped punishment for his part in it. On the Aberdeen game, if i recall correctly Duncan's 1st booking was for winding up Dons supporters when he scored, two really stupid bookings. He deserved to go off that day.

Jock MacDonald had nothing to do with Caley , I suggest you read the link below . http://www.ictfc.co....2208825_1490901 Sorry i got lazy while posting, i meant Caley Thistle. You were right the first time, Caley is a nickname of Caley Thistle. Yeah i know but DC seemed to think that by sayin Caley i meant Inverness Caledonian. Which was not the case anyhoo, getting off topic.
