He's now gone on trial at Yeovil town.

Terry has said himself he would like to add to the squad even after the season starts, get a grip, their is still a whole month before the transfer window even shuts. Id be amazed if this is what we settle for.

Really hoping we get some new defenders during the week. We are so weak there by the sounds of it.

He's certainly our one saving grace from the last 2 games.

As mentioned Kilmarnock will be nowhere near as good. Their squad is significantly weaker but some of their new arrivals i.e Harkins could prove to be very capable. I think Hibs could have another dire season. Their squad is a shadow of what it was and none of their signings look paticuarly inspiring apart from maybe Ivan Sproule, dont think Sheridan has signed yet. I'm guessing their fans will have mixed opinions with the situation regarding Calerwood's future, some will probably want him to go and some wont and they will be at risk of dragging this into our season. Think St Johnstone will be ok theyve strengthened well over the summer, St Mirren have added well but always seem to struggle anyway. Aberdeen i think will be fine with Craig Brown at the helm. Dunfermline have a decent team and will be the new boys, so of stats are anything to go by they will be fine. There is a possibilty that we may struggle at first, we have made alot of signings and let alot of players go and with all the changes and the injuries we've suffered over pre season it's possible our start to the season at least may be a slow one. Not terribly anxious over it though...looking forward to it.

I reckon a right back and a center half is a must. Meekings is out for a month to 6 weeks ive heard. Another striker isnt a bad shout, maybe someone with a slightly better goals to game ratio, with Duff not coming back another utility player wouldnt be out of the question either.

If there is one common factor about most of our games this pre season its that Proctor has been ripped apart in almost all of them. Was never the best player but was always reasonably solid, he seems to be struggling though.

Ross at full back and Proctor as a sweeper? Midfield and forward line is what i would go with with Mackay beside Foran.

Im sure he does want a job but the fact is the club were really keen to get him, payed for his MRI and did their best to persuade him to come North which he seemed happy to do. Gilbert didnt even tell the club he was going back down to MK. Wether he was fit to play or not is really beside the point. The fact is he showed us disprespect by doing what he did. Had he said he was going to play for MK then it would have been dissapointing but acceptable.

Well it means i will be tuning into this game tonight with intrest...then we will all realise he wont be on the bench.

I'll make my call when we are finished wheelin nd dealin in the transfer market. However should stick with what we've got i would be a bit concerned for our chances this season. But like you say i would settle for 11th place.

The intrest in Andrews dropped very quickly after the Clach game. I noticed Brian McLean (ex Well and Falkirk) was also training with Preston. I remember TB used to rate him very highly at Motherwell and given we are short at the back im suprised we never took an intrest in him.

To have got Doran on a 2 year deal in the manner in which we have is a real coup for us. He had made it clear that he would love to return North and he wasnt lying. Defence is now priority.

Someone will need to clarify if Doran is on loan or if he is permanently signed, but delighted to have him back anyway! The boy McKay sounds a prospect and look forward to seeing him in action. Hoping with a bit of help from Foran and Tade he will grab a few goals. A right back and a center half should be priority now.
