  1. Was going to suggest Fairburn but the chances are we would probably come away with more injuries.
  2. Its not a question of how much was spent in Scotland. Its a case of which teams actually are capable of spending money, i can only think of 3, maybe 4 teams.

Quite satisfied with the buisness conducted today, suppose if any players are required there are a number of players released from their deals today so picking up free bes would be another option if necessary.

Would be great to see us get a proper striker in but i thought we were just looking for 2 new signings? Balotelli would certainly raise our profile

Could someone translate the 2nd sentence of lukemackays post for me please I think he is referring to Mr Lennon and his transfer policy.

    David Davis

Sounds promising though he has a major lack of appearences. Hoping he makes a good impact.

Hope he's not injury prone But from whats been said he sounds like a very promising player, looking forward to seeing him in action, new striker needed now.

If he's ex Leicester he will be on his way no doubt, we already have 3 ex Leicester players on our books.

At the age of 33 i dont see Terry taking him, from the players weve signed already this summer i thinks its clear Terry is looking for younger players.

Little would be a great signing on loan, he has proven that he has great potential at SPL level and has also shown versatility on the field as well, would be delighted to have him at ICT.

Think your confused with Odhiambo, Sanchez was training with Wellington Phoenix, dont know if he signed for them or not.
  12. I think its safe to say that if we had a full team there is a good chance we'd be alot higher in the league, not the case but its a great measure of the character within the sqaud that they had the get up and go attitude to beat a Kilmarnock side that were unbeaten going into the game. Hibs deserve to be proping up the table, worst side in the league by far. Weren't worthy of their win up here at the start of the season.
  13. Must admit i was not confident going into the game but its clear that whatever was said following the Ayr game seemed to make a major difference. We went into the game with a very disjointed side that was literally down to the bear bones but there was a togetherness and a hunger about the team that i hadnt seen until today. Some of the football played today was decent too, both sides passed the ball about at times with plenty of chances created either way. Kilmarnock looked good but it was clear that the loss of Eremenko and Taouil has hampered their attacking influence in midfield. One thing that impressed me about us today was the way the defence attempted to play us out of danger, something we dont do often enough but that i think we are quite capable of doing. Gregory Tade was the pick of the bunch for me today, took his goal brilliantly and was deserved on his overall performance. Gave the Killie defence no peace today and was covering every bit of the pitch that he could, may not become a regular goalscorer but he will win us some games this season with those kind of displays. Late wins always make me smile but this one was paticularly sweet, im sure this will leave us feeling alot better about our chances of climbing the table. Yet more injuries today. Have we had a curse put on us or something? Really hoping that one or two additions are made to the squad before the window shuts because there is no doubt that they are needed.

Hit and a miss but he's worth a go, we need some pace up front.
  15. And we will do that by starting Tade?
  16. Heard Tansey should be fit for Saturday.
  17. Worst result in 17 years? Naw, i agree that title can go to the 5-1 defeat to County. But i think this has to be the worst start to a season ive ever seen, everything that could go wrong pretty much has. Players are picking up injuries everywhere, we cant score, we cant defend, we get no breaks on refereeing decisions and 6 games into the season and we are still without a win and proping up the table. Will things get better? I think they will but i lost a bit of faith after last nigth and Saturday but i will not give up on my team.
  18. You walk into a game thinking things couldnt get any worse - but they do and in just about every way possible. We couldnt defend, we hit the woodwork, we must be the most prolific side this season for chalked off goals, and we have yet another injury to a key player. Im not going to deny it, Ayr probably deserved to go through last night though i will say we had alot more chances than they had 2nd half, but the difference was they got 1 chance and took it, we had 5 or 6 and couldnt take any of them. For me the season was well summed up when Andy Shinnie sent a curling shot towards the corner - only for it to whack off Tade's behind and away. Chance gone. Im really worried now as im sure most people are and with the run of fixtures we have coming up i dont see it getting any better.
  19. What is going on? Player quits after 4 games? This just further adds to the misery of the season so far. Out of the lot Aldred looked like one of the better signings in our new team and having watched Golobart for the second time last night i have to say he does not fill me with much confidence. Does this mean another defender is coming in or we persist with what weve got? Dont know and to be honest dont care, very dissapointed at the lack of stability surrounding the squad at present.
  20. County are our rivals and Hamilton are one of the most shoddy, cheating teams ive ever come across as a fan so i wouldnt be bothered either way.
  21. Still think Leigh Griffiths on loan would be a shout. No one down South has taken him on loan despite him being made available. Atm we just have battering rams up front in Tade, Foran and Shane, Griffiths could bring something a bit different....and yes i know we havent seen Billy McKay yet but at the moment the pressure is all on him when he comes back from injury, he dosent need that.
  22. Esson Piermayr, Tokely, Hogg, G. Shinnie Sutherland, Tansey, Ross, Doran Foran, Tade Subs: Tuffey, Aldred, Hayes, Morrison, A. Shinnie Ayr will be out to get us, being the underdogs coupled with our poor start to the season so for me playing a strong team is essential - Sutherland over Hayes for me, he has looked impressive over the last few games when coming on and Johnny needs a wee bit of a breather as well.
  23. Having had a day to ponder what to say i will say this... We need to win...and soon! Aberdeen are not a good side but were made to look like one in what was arguably the most pathetic first half of football ive seen in years. The changes made were unjustified but not inappropriate. Im sure Butcher is trying to get to know his best starting 11 and yesterday will have gone a long way towards that - but not for the right reasons. * A. Shinnie seems to lack the strength and speed for this level and is absolutely not a second striker. Game for me turned when he was replaced by Doran. * Golobart should not have started but i thought gave a decent display which was overshadowed by his match deciding blooper. I dont know what was said at half time but we did up our game considerably in the 2nd half but the same old story continues where we create the chances but fail to convert them, yesterday were some of the worst as the chances were mainly passed up due to fear of shooting or dreadful first touches, im with the majority of folks thinking a new striker is needed, someone with a bit of pace and skill, all we have are battering rams up front and McKay at least another month from playing. This NEEDS to be addressed.
  24. Esson Piermayr, Hogg, Aldred, G. Shinnie Hayes, Ross, Tansey, Doran Foran, Tade Subs: Tuffey, Golobart, Morrison, A. Shinnie, Polworth, Sutherland, Greig

    Roman on Loan

I think its safe to assume he goes straight into the squad for tomorrow, seems like a decent signing, a new striker i think needs to be priority now. Despite injury problems i think we will be ok in midfield.
