  1. The last figure I saw for revamping the PA System was something like ?35,000...that's not exactly "shoestring" kinda money.
  2. I believe there's still some kind of issue with the rights for "bring it on home". The Automatic - Monster would be the obvious choice IMO, but that means stealing it from Nessie (We could give them something uber cheesy like the Family Ness Theme). Others that I have pondered are " and " the younger forum users look on in wonder TB picked the song for the last game of the season...Old Spice/Omen Theme...not a bad selection and as they (players/management) are likely to be consulted then that may crop up as an option for the coming season. Re the PA System/Speakers.....the cost of replacing them is wayyy beyond anything the club are likely to consider spending at the moment....and rightly so given the current circumstances and the need to be concentrating spending elsewhere.
  3. was wondering how long till someone mentioned the delay on Hastings name - I actually got caught mid announcement by a sneeze.
  4. Apologies for being so quick to jump on your comment.....hopefully the following is a little more helpful in allowing you to better understand the situation. It's all about priorities. At the moment the most important things are getting people back in the habit of attending games and letting them know what's happening in the run up to the start of the season. So the CIS fixture and making it well known that U16's get in free when accompanied by an adult is important to getting as many people along as possible....you might sit in your seat from the moment you arrive till the moment you leave, but not everyone does. People arrive late, people go off to get pies/drinks and go to the toilet etc at half time, and where possible and practical some announcements will be made several times to ensure the maximum number of people are aware of them. Also, with it being pre-season there's not much else to be announced as we don't have match mascots, we don't have so many fan activities or the ht challenge and people don't seem to send us birthday announcements and things.....I can't announce things that don't exist, so the time is used to push what information we do have to the max. One other reason for so much "talk" on Tuesday night was that some of the PA System settings had been knocked off/altered over the summer and following feedback from Saturday I was doing a lot of tweaking and adjusting to get the best I can from the system that's in place.....if I hadn't then people would be on here bitching about not being able to understand what's being said.
  5. Thanks for volunteering Marty.....if you meet me at the front door around 1:30pm Saturday I'll take you up and show you how everything works and you can then show us how it's done!!!
  6. If I have any say in it they won't this season. I've used a remix of Jungle Life (by DJ Daz) the last couple of games but not sure what it will be for the season proper.
  7. The shares are worthless and the only way he would get any return (other than the offer on the table) is if the club had any money left after all other creditors had been paid....not very likely. Selling his shares would not remove his claim under a CVA for any money he is owed...unless it was a condition of the offer that he waived any claim on that.
  8. Of course he got them into this mess.....they had a debt of less than ?300k when he arrived, and 12 months later they have a debt of ?1.7 Million.....who else is to blame for that?
  9. The problem here is that Massone cares more for his ego than he does for Livingston FC. Taking the ?25k would be an admission of guilt and his ego won't allow him to do that. The money, of which he would only get a small fraction as part of the syndicate, is chump change and the thought of getting nothing other than what he could perhaps claim via any CVA will not have entered into his thinking in this at all. It looks to me like he'd rather see Livingston liquidated and hold on to the "Everyone was against me and nobody gave me a proper chance to turn things around" line, than admit that he's got the club in to one helluva mess and walk away and allow someone else be the saviour.
  10. Think I'm going to have to renegotiate my contract as I never did get my pie :)
  11. Don't think anyone had a "bad" performance tonight and hopefully the doom and gloom merchants from Saturday will be a little more satisfied by this game...despite the score. The Utd back 4 were giving our forwards no breathing space whatsoever and it was always going to take a killer pass or a bit of a break for us to put the ball in the net. At the other end we were caught out by giving away possession cheaply on a couple of occasions whilst trying to hold a higher line than we perhaps should have been against bigger/faster opposition. Rumour has it that Sanchez contract was a done deal before a ball was kicked....if not then I imagine it will be now. Bulvitis looks more than capable of doing a job and although he seems to be lacking a little pace he was working well with the rest of the back four and knew when he was covered and needed to cover others. Young Allison didn't have too much to do, but when he did he appeared confident and had none of the nerves that young keepers thrown in against bigger opponents can have. He's not scared to come off his line and is always looking for the chance of getting a quick ball away...much the same as Esson. I have no worries at all about him being the #2 keeper for the coming season based on what I've seen. Thought we were going to witness the unstoppable force meeting the immovable object near the end when Superman and The Machine looked set to go nose to nose...but it was quickly calmed. Referee didn't have the best of matches....but fortunately it was a pretty clean/honest game with only a couple of controversial tackles....so I don't think his Arab tendencies spoiled it or had any impact on the result. Still room for improvement, but things look like they are starting to come together for us and with the addition of Sanchez and Bulvitis then we could/should be looking forward to a decent season with a decent squad. On the subject of Twitter....I think we proved the concept this evening and with only a couple of small technical issues to iron out I would hope that we'll be doing it for as many games as possible this season....home and away. Oh.....and I still never got my pie....grrrr
  12. As I just posted elsewhere.....even if they managed to get a CVA at 15p/?1 then they're looking at ?300,000 to clear that (after you factor in administrator costs etc). On top of that they are going to need a fair chunk of working capital as nobody is going to give them credit terms on anything....plus whatever work needs done to get their safety certificate etc. Even on a conservative guess I would say they're looking for someone willing to risk ?500k to get the club out of the hole it's in, and you'd have to be fairly mad to stick that kind of money into a club with no assets.....they're trying to get rid of one madman, do they want another?
  13. Livi Trust Statement ?1.4 Million of debt racked up in a year.......something we should bare in mind as we take a financial punt on bouncing straight back up.
  14. The fact that a day out in the SFL amounts to about the same as just a ticket for an SPL Match helps a lot.

Post here the words to any ICT songs you know. THIS IS NOT A DISCUSSION THREAD, I AM JUST LOOKING FOR THE WORDS TO THE SONGS Once I've got all the song/chant lyrics I will create a section on the site for them as well as a printable sheet.

Well... We started off against Falkirk with Ross playing in that position, and with a pretty useful CB sitting on the bench... I am making that point for the umpteenth time only because I can't believe TB persists in playing Rossco in that position.... Still... at least he'll be forced to try something else for the Dunfermline game. He was on the bench because he was carrying a knock/injury and wasn't 100% fit. If he'd been played from the start and the result had been the same then the Butcher Bashers would have been slating him for playing someone not 100% fit and costing us the game......sometimes a person can't win, especially where certain individuals are involved.

Right Back....obviously, but as has been pointed out umpteen times, when your short a man in a position then someone has to move to cover. Had we got a CB sitting on the bench and Ross playing that position purely for the hell of it then I might concede that there's a point to be made.

I hope Renegade gets around to posting his formation soon or TB's going to have no clue what to do with the team tomorrow night!!!

Some might say getting Barrowman off the wage bill would be an offer we couldn't refuse, even if we let him go for nowt!!! I wouldn't say no to the pie though
  20. I'm sure the vast majority of people could come up with a legitimate claim/reason why they should get in cheaper than some others, but ICT isn't a charity and you have to draw the line somewhere. It doesn't matter where you draw that line you'll always get those who will complain and claim it should be moved more in their favour.

I couldn't even hazard a guess at what team Utd might put out.
  22. I think the point some are trying to make is that it's not all doom and gloom and whilst most of us want to see our team performing at the highest level there's some things about the 1st Division which we'll find preferable to the SPL.
  23. Why just those with mobility issues? What about other health conditions? are they less deserving? What about those who are out of work? Arent they every bit as deserving of a lil understanding? I think if you read it again he's saying disabled people WITHOUT mobility issues who have financial need SHOULD get a concession.
  24. Not that important to the conversation, but Cox hasn't got a broken arm, he fell into a glass table or something and sliced some ligaments in his fingers. Because the ligaments connect up through the wrist he has to have a splint to keep everything straight to give them the best chance of healing. It looked like the Montrose #2 seemed to think that giving him some heavy treatment might take him out of the game or slow him down, but all credit to Cox because he kept battling and chasing....even though he looked to be in a bit of discomfort with his hand after a heavy fall on it part way through the second half.
  25. Where wheelchair users are located and the quality of their matchday experience/view of the game is something that the Supporters Trust have had ongoing conversations with the club over for quite some time now and as I understand it the club are to reintroduce the area in front of the main stand which, I am led to believe, offers a better view of the match than being in front of the North Stand.
