  1. Highland Cathedral - CaleyD Remix Not if I have anything to do with it :(
  2. Let's see if DFS is so keen now that the other party has pulled out and told him to get on with it? (Allegedly)
  3. Just been checking out how to do it........ http://sketchup.google.com/3dwh/citiesin3d...te3dmodels.html Sure anyone with a little CAD experience and a digital camera could knock something together.
  4. I believe they are user submitted.....all we need is someone with the time and know-how to do our place.
  5. I hope this does go ahead in the near future. It's small things like this where fans CAN do their bit which help push the odd extra couple of thousand into Butchers budget. Two or three of these kinds of thing a season would easily fund what could be a vital extra player. Yes, there's plenty counter arguments to the above....trust me, I've run through them all in my head...but we can spend all our time arguing them and get nothing done, or we can set it aside in order to get stuff completed for everyone's benefit....and then go back to debating the other issues. Let's not be cutting off our noses to spite our faces. This is OUR club afterall.
  6. I'm not dictating how anyone should spend their money, just saying that (in my opinion) it seems a little strange that someone who claims to be such a big ICT fan might consider investing money in another team...a competitor (not on the park, but in the sports entertainment market)....especially at a time when we're going to be struggling more than ever to make every penny go as far as possible. We're talking about a hypothetical situation at the moment as nothing has really come to light regarding the matter, but if it were to transpire as rumoured then I guess what I am/would be doing is questioning the motives. If it was a case of rescuing Clach from going to the wall and nobody else was showing serious interest, then I could understand...but as the rumours stand with other parties also interested then there's only 3 motives I can think of.....Bored with ICT and wants a new challenge, it's nothing more than a pointless muscle flexing exercise or there's some other "financial" benefit to be had from owning and controlling Clach and the land they occupy. In reference to my ?250 comment....that is the grand total of any shareholding listed in the name of David F Sutherland an investment made at a time when all Board members were required to hold shares in the club...something which is no longer the case.
  7. Caleyboy, I suggest you read the Forum Guidelines box at the top of the page. A guideline which was added last season at the request of the site users. Feel free to apologise to Alex whenever you like.
  8. Has this guy actually been linked with us anywhere, or is this just pulling names from hats?
  9. excuse ma ignorance but owned Clach prior to their sale to either savage or the builder? Charlie Forbes, James Macdonald, Ken Macleod, Calum Grant, Colin Morgan and Alistair and David Dowling are the consortium who saved the club from going to the wall in 1990, David Dowling is still there as Chairman, with Colin Morgan a director of the club. The main sponsor is Tulloch Homes. You missed Dave Love Caley D. He was the guy who put these people together, put hard cash in and was also a Director. Was Alex who listed the above names, not me :P Now, not content with having their investment in the club, posters now feel that they are entitled to advise our shareholders on where and what they should spend their money on!! Some people need to get a reality check. Why don't you tell them what car they should drive, where to buy it and which salesman they should use. Better still organise a meeting at which a charter can be adopted, passed on to a committee who subsequently form a working group which then decides and advises the man who has the money. For some who regularly claim to have the best interests of the club at heart, they tend to go out of their way to have cheap shots at one of the very few people who has invested cash into the club. To the best of my knowledge, there is not a queue of people battering down the door to invest. Please let me know if I am wrong. If the man wants to spend ?4m on a double breasted red throated deep handed left footed diver then that is entirely up to him. Or, should that be debated too? This is the point where I'm suppose to get all worked up and throw out some allegations which you'll come back and ask me to prove or remove....right? Here's a different approach....let's see if you can provide proof, or at least sufficient justification instead of just a wee rant, for why a certain person should not be questioned in any way shape or form!!! Really, how much good will does ?250 buy a person these days and why have the hundreds of others who've invested as much (or more) not get treated with the same respect?
  10. What's crazy is that someone so heavily involved with ICT is (allegedly) contemplating throwing money at another football club when we are in need of every penny we can get...especially when others are willing to do their bit and he's not being relied upon as their saviour. Got to wonder if now that he's achieved his aim of SPL Football in Inverness that he's got a bit bored with the whole thing and is looking for a new toy, or some other point to prove.
  11. This started off with the Trust floating the idea of one of our usual "Fans Forum" type events before the season kicked off. It was then Mike Smith who took it to the next level and suggested we perhaps make it more interesting with an open training night and Terry Butcher who put the icing on the cake by saying he would get mic'd up so as to make the whole thing more interactive. Also, thanks go to Darren for being the one who's bringing it all together and doing the organising and of course George Fraser and the Board who gave the whole thing the green light. So yeah, it's a real team effort that has brought this about and turned it from what might have been a good event into what should be a great event. I just hope people show their appreciation by making the effort to attend.....if 80,000 can turn out for that what's his name....begins with an R!!!
  12. Do people honestly expect to be seeing expected line-ups any time during the pre-season?
  13. Details Here
  14. I thought the nature of my post would have suggest that I didn't give much credence to the rumour myself....do try and keep up.
  15. And here I was hoping to pip you for the "Daftest Poster of the Year" Award
  16. I thought we had an ok side till Brewster got his hands on them second time round!!!
  17. Two names mentioned to me tonight as possible loan deals.....not the best of sources I must admit, but the first name wouldn't overly surprise me since we've not been doing much in terms of looking at Keepers. Mark Brown and Shaun Maloney. Don't shoot the feckin messenger!!!!
  18. CaleyD replied to Scotty's topic in Caley Thistle
That's a bit of a myth Alex. Clubs might not be able to get such a good price on smaller orders, but it is possible.
  19. Don't know what you're all on about. We're already a big club.
  20. CaleyD replied to Scotty's topic in Caley Thistle
I get the impression that the club have things in hand for the launch of the new strip.
  21. It just occured to me that most of todays forum users would still have been in nappies when we were last in Div 1.....scarey!!!
  22. It'll be the Fish & Chips factor.....you know, where no matter how hard you try you just can't make them taste the same, even though you use all the exact same stuff.
  23. Like most I've been back and forth in my head between disappointment at not being in the SPL and glad to be in Div 1 where football was/is infintely more enjoyable. I've settled on the latter and i'm not looking forward to a season of good craic and good football. I'm not going to lumber myself with high expectations of us making a return straight back to the SPL as that's just setting ones self up for disappointment at the end of the season, even if we've had a great one and not quite managed promotion.
  24. Don't get overly excited as they're not as good as the ones you get at Killie games IMO.
