  1. Brewster quoted in the Highland News saying that the Chairman has told him funds will be available to strengthen the team.
  2. Not someone I could claim to have known well - although my father, being of the Jaggie persuasion, did. Our thoughts are with his family.

As others have said, it's not so much what formation we play but the manner we play it and which players we put in. With a 4-4-2 we often end up with the midfield playing so deep that one (or both) forwards end up having to drop so deep to get the ball that we'd be as well playing 4-5-1, and when playing a 4-5-1 we've not got players like Vigurs and Cowie playing in the right place to be allowing them to push forward and support. Vigurs is probably our most creative attacking midfielder at the moment and he's found himself being played in a holding/defensive midfield role more often than not. On the few occasions I've watched us this year I've spotted another trend....schoolboy football, the one where everyone chases the ball and you could throw 15 yard circle around 8 or 9 players at any given moment!!! I think we do have the players to be able to play either/any formation more effectively than we have been doing, it's just we're not using the right players at the right time or making best use of them.
  4. Have to say that when I read the article yesterday I couldn't help but feel that Tangoman was taking the proverbial as opposed to playing any mind games.
  5. Looking for experience.....to replace all the experience he's managed to strip out since coming back???
  6. I'm guessing the "Star System" joke has gone way over everyone's head so far

I don't give a hoot how badly other clubs are doing. I'm not saying that Brewster needs to go because he doesn't stack up to how other managers are performing....I'm saying that I do not think he is good enough for ICT, I'm saying that he is not getting the best from what is laid out in front of him, I'm saying that he is slowly (or not so slowly) ripping the heart and soul from this club with is attitude that it's everyone else's fault bar his. Are their problems at this club beyond the manager? Damn right their are, but the immediate priority is that we get things back on track on the pitch, that we get back to playing the kind of football that is more pleasing for fans, that gets them through the turnstiles and puts money into the hands of those who can make best use of it. Regardless of how we got to where we are and who's fault it is, we're at a stage where a growing majority of fans do not wish to see Craig Brewster continue as manager. The club can ignore that in the hope that he turns things around soon whilst watching attendances drop and the respect of the fans disappear out the window...or they can take action. In short, the club have sat on their hands in silence for so long over this issue that, IMO, they are leaving themselves with little option than the get rid of Brewster...it's at the stage where I just don't think or believe that the fans will accept anything less.

Right now I'd welcome a statement of resistance from the club....in fact, I'd be happy for them to respond in any way, shape or form so we at least know they are aware of the issues and not all locked in a room somewhere receiving no mail or newspapers, oblivious to what's happening to the team, and oblivious to the views of the fans.
  9. The opposite end of the spectrum then!!! BTW, it could well be correct, it just sounded like the kind of "we were wrong but you were worse" kind of argument that you get among people on P&B.

Brewster in the courier today blaming the "Big Players" for not performing on Saturday. I don't know why I bother buying the paper any more, it's at the stage where I can guess exactly what's going to be said by Brewster every week. A couple of statements saying how we have to remain positive which then goes on to blame the players in the rest of the article.....cause that's a great way to keep players positive!!!

Disappointing so far, I know of at least 1 more though, perhaps 2 depending on if my father sent you a copy also. Not disappointing at all, it's far better than the 1 e.mail I knew about prior to making my post.
  12. McGuire must have still been suffering badly from being out with the injury as there's no way on gods earth any fully fit player would have conceded that much ground to any other player for the opening goal.

hislopoffsideagain sent his to the club and is included in my figures. I haven't included yours as I don't know if you sent it or just posted it on here.
  14. You been on Pie and Bovril again haven't you?
  15. CaleyD replied to a post in a topic in Caley Thistle
There's 8 e.mails gone to the club that I know of for 100% certain (i.e. I was copied in) since last night, but I believe there's others over and above that.
  16. 9th Place by Xmas
  17. Justice IMO.
  18. Either that or you can't count
  19. 6 Resignations (sorry couldn't resist)
  20. Everyone seems to have gone into "I need something to cheer me up before I crack" mode tonight!!!
  21. 4 Inches More Legroom
  22. The counter argument being that if the company was being run efficiently then others (including fans) might be more willing to dip into their pockets if it was needed.

When a new manager comes in, it can often lead to a rise in performance as players are out to retain their position in the team etc. The only times I can remember turning anything around (in a positive manner) was when he first arrived at us in both spells and when he's played. And....even if we were to accept that Brewster might be capable of turning things around....how long do you give him? How much more do you seriously think fans should have to put up with the dross? Do we wait until January when players are so demoralised that they're all heading for the door? Do we wait until after the split when it might still be mathematically possible to avoid relegation? For me, the ideal time for changing managers is 4 to 6 weeks before a transfer window, because whoever comes in has to be given a fair chance to assess the squad there already and perhaps look to do something in the transfer window itself (if need be). I think Brewster has had enough time to prove just how much he can get out of the team, and to be frank, he's not getting the best - or anything near it. I don't think anyone could deny that the players are better than what we're seeing at present. Yes, you could argue that it's the fault of the players and that they should be playing 100% regardless of any feelings they have about the manager, but that doesn't fix anything and if we need a change then it's far easier to replace a manager to improve the situation than it is to replace the majority of the playing squad. Something needs to change and it needs to change sooner rather than later. It's not just league position that's being effected, it's crowds, it's goodwill, it's the clubs income......it's the entire future of ICT.
  24. - Even I don't believe that things are that bad.
