  1. You talking hypothetically? as we have McGuire only just back to training and chances are Duff will miss tomorrow with a throat infection and Tokely still suspended.

I think it's perhaps a bit unfair to the players to be using match time to get at the club/Brewster. I would suggest that for the 90 minutes of the game fans concentrate on getting behind the team on the park, then at the end of the game they hold back for 10 minutes or so to make feelings known about Brewster and the way things are being done at the club. Other than that there's other things that can be done...... - I think we need to start making it clear just how many fans are looking for change. If you want I can come up with a suitable Avatar that we can all use. That way when those at the club are viewing the site they can see it plainly, and will be reminded of it on every thread they read. - We should all start writing letters and/or e.mails to the club on a daily basis until such time as we get proper acknowledgement of our concerns and a statement as to what the club are playing at. - Anyone with season ticket who is currently refusing to attend games should post/deliver the unused stubs back to the club telling them why they have not been used and stating that if things don't change then they won't have stubs to return next season as they won't be buying a season ticket. If the club don't start listening after people have been doing these things then, by all means things need to be stepped up and perhaps the only way to get through to them is to have banners at games and to chant our dissatisfaction during the match, and maybe that can be the plan for the Aberdeen game if no action has been taken or answers given.
  3. Thought it better to split this off onto a separate topic. Also, for the removal of any doubt, the man is who he says he is.

I don't know where this myth that Robbo neglected fitness comes from, but anyone who had managed to get any kind of insight into the facts and figures kept for him on player fitness etc will tell you that programmes, regimes and diets were specifically tailored for each player to take account of their strengths/weaknesses and laid out so they could work on what was needed for the positions they played. Defenders worked more on strength, wingers on speed and stamina, central players and strikers worked on short sprints and agility etc etc. Furthermore, he actually worked with players on things like set pieces (attacking and defending them), we had nominated penalty, free kick and corner takers for both sides of the pitch and they were all given time to work on these things. I heard a story recently that one of our players requested last season that the club have a wooden cut-out wall made so as they could practice taking free kicks and they were told by Brewster it wasn't possible as we had nowhere to store it!!! Stuff like that is just scary.
  5. How can they be to blame? The rules are there in black and white!!! Player wasn't registered for the initial tie so he's not eligible to play in the rescheduled match....how much clearer can it be?
  6. Think they need to tighten up the rules on this as it seems to be becoming a regular thing for clubs to field ineligible players in this fashion. I can also understand, to an extent, why Elgin took the risk. With both keepers out of action then they were facing the prospect of having to put someone totally inexperienced in goal....so they throw in an ineligible player knowing that the worst they are likely to get is a fine or enforced replay if they win. By the time the replay comes around then with any luck one of the injured keepers has recovered. They have in effect cheated to buy themselves time. Sanctions need to be set at such a level whereas the cost of being caught doing such a thing are way beyond the potential benefits of taking the chance.
  7. The difference is that if Aberdeen lose a player or two they have the resources to replace them with (relative) ease and we don't. There's also the fact that we should be looking to make money from just about any player who leaves the club, and we should certainly be looking to get full value for the best of our players....you don't do that by letting them go with 6 months remaining or when contracts expire.
  8. Serious question Ralph......are you actually an ICT fan?
  9. How can you state something as fact if you can't back it up

Your welcome - as much as some of us might disagree on the best solution to the current situation, and as much as some of us might be reacting in different ways...we all share the common bond that we are ICT fans and want what is best for them - something we sometimes lose sight of when disagreements kick off.
  11. i think you hit he nail on the head there, thats certainly why he didnt get a coaching position Sorry but thats CERTAINLY incorrect Go on Ralph....back that up with something resembling a solid fact or source. You know you want to.

FoF....I know I was first to burst that bubble, but I do appreciate your sentiment. So I'll conceded that whilst a win on Saturday would do little to bring about the much needed changes, it would be a positive in terms of keeping us away from the relegation zone....at least in the short term. That's the best I can do for "positive" right now, sorry.

Would you rather we lost ? I'm just trying to be positive despite whatever mess ICT may be in ! Cos whatever happens i really would not like to see us go down Survival is priority ! If it guaranteed the removal of a couple of people at ICT and the installation of more qualified/experienced replacements, then sadly...yes, I would rather we lost. Do I want to see us relegated....certainly not, but with every day that passes I become more and more convinced that is where we might end up under the current regime. S0 the sooner it's sorted, the sooner we can ALL get back to being positive. Some might view that as Negative...that's fine, I'll take a couple of negatives if it will help achieve a long term positive.

To be honest, I don't think this weekends result will change many attitudes. People are finally waking up to just how much of a mess ICT is in at present, and one win isn't going to do anything to paper over the ever widening cracks.
  16. This weeks Highland news suggest that Barry isn't ready to hang up his boots. He says that even if a couple of SPL teams came in for him it might not be his preferred option. Strange that he should say "a couple of SPL teams" - kinda suggests that maybe some have shown interest already? And could it be, as I suggested elsewhere, that he couldn't face playing against us as he down plays it as not being his preferred option? Barry also gives thanks to the fans for their support and the relationship he's shared with them over the years and there's also a quote which says leaving to go to Livi was a hard decision, but coming back was an easy one....that in itself speaks volumes about his passion for ICT, IMO.

Brewster continues to big up Dundee Utd and talk down the ICT performance in the Highland News....although it's Jon Daly getting the plaudits this time.
  18. What % of any blame you/we wish to apportion to any individual is neither here nor there. What's important is that the areas where changes are needed are identified and action is taken to rectify things before it's too late.
  19. Our strikers aren't exactly doing much better than Wyness though. I don't have any kids of my own, but plenty nieces and nephews and to be honest, whenever I've taken any of them to games they've been effected more by the end result than any knowledge they may or may not have of the players on the park. In fact, they've come away from reserve games over the moon because ICT won and the concept that it wasn't first team players out there on the pitch (for either team) didn't seem to register at all. Took my Nephew to Wilson's Testimonial and I never seen a kid so happy. Not a recognisable name in the Liverpool Team (as far as he was concerned) and a good few "strangers" (again as far as he was concerned) in the ICT team. I think your fooling yourself if you think kids are more interested in the names than in the results.
  20. Wyness scored at the weekend and your kids might just get to experience football in the lower divisions if things keep going as they are. Glad your happy though.
  21. One of the (very) few reaming players who epitomise what ICT is (was) all about, what got us where we are today and what I had hoped would be instilled in players of the future. What you give to this team goes above and beyond what can be practised and learned on a training pitch and, if our BoD don't come to their senses soon then, that will be missed as much as your intelligent play on the pitch.
  22. CaleyD replied to a post in a topic in Caley Thistle
Given the fact that he seems to be pulling them from his erse right now, then I think a hat would be a big improvement.
  23. If your in any doubt about his ability to get a reaction, then just ask the cleaner at the Aquadome
  24. Oslo to Hampden in between the Scotland fixtures.
