  1. Selfishly, I want Polworth to stay (and Vigurs...and many others) but his own personal progression might benefit from a change of scenery.

Oh, poor Charles. Please admin, DON'T ban him. I often think that CaleyThistleOnline can be compared to a pseudohistorical British sitcom....something akin to Blackadder....and where would it be without it's Baldrick!!

I appear to have got my own wee stalker....how cute!

The target laid down by the board was a return to the premiership...so in that regard the original statement is correct. That's, by no means, an indicator of my thoughts on Robbo and the job he's done/is doing.
  5. Was it real banter or just rumoured banter? ...and what was your agenda?
  6. I'll take that as a no to the suggestion of an intelligent discussion ?
  7. Here we go again with the argumentum ad hominem. Come on Charles, let's have an intelligent discussion where you provide proper information/argument to backup your thoughts, views and opinions; instead of trying to undermine mine with personal attacks and poorly crafted attempts at character assassination!
  8. Neither is living in lala land.
  9. All players will have had cuts built in to their contracts to account for relegation. It seems that there is a need to cut things further than that though. With a Chairman stating a need for inward investment to ensure the clubs immediate future and a manager talking about a need for further budget cuts....I'm not sure we are going to be seen as anything like a secure option at the moment.
  10. Sounds promising. We're more than likely going to have to rely on a smaller squad next season, so players who have a bit of versatility will be vital.
  11. Precisely the kind of interesting and fun aspect that could be included ?
  12. You'd be well suited to a position in politics with your whataboutery and inability to deal with the point at hand. My post was not about whether or not their was any truth in the rumours....it was debunking the claim that they had no substance, by referencing the irrefutable comments from both chairman and manager. On that basis, there is justification for the fan expectation that the board make some kind of announcement/statement to clarify the situation. In fact, to quote the club board (as I have done previously).....http://ictfc.com/news/club-news/1974-board-statement-14-08-17 So they have identified that there is an ongoing issue about their actions (or inactions) in regards to communication fuelling speculation....and they haven't (yet) moved to dispel it. I've never once claimed the previous board were infallible....find a single instance of me stating that and I will delete my account from CTO and never darken it's door again.
  13. That's a long way from the argument often used by the press/media to coax statements from the club! When the board commit to being more open and communicative then there's justifiable expectation that they do that. Some, yourself included, say that talk of administration is entirely speculative....I would argue that the communication coming from the club has not only generated that speculation, it has fuelled it. A couple of months back the Chairman issued a statement trying to debunk talk of financial troubles but, in the very next breath, stating that the club was still in need of additional investment...directly lifted from the statement (http://ictfc.com/news/club-news/2138-stadium-green-light-is-welcomed) Since then we have had the Manager saying that the club will face further substantial budget cuts next season...with no qualification on whether that would be the case only if we failed to gain promotion. It's hardly surprising that talk of announcements would lead to speculation that it's bad news (financially) when we've not had anything to suggest that the previously stated need for inward investment has been met and the immediate future of the club secured. So, whilst I agree that the club should no be responding to wild rumour, that is far from the situation we are facing here. Regardless of rumour, I would say a statement on the position highlighted in February is past due....no?
  14. If they are going to start putting more stuff into the Sports Bar area, then they need to do it properly. There are already historically important items hanging on the walls in direct sunlight and fading fast as a result. Due to the lack of space at the stadium, I touted the idea of a "virtual" museum; using augmented reality to turn the entire stadium into a platform for 'displaying' stuff....which could include so much more (and for so much less) than a traditional museum.
  15. For those who missed our vote....you can have a go here....? https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/H92S7M7
  16. Club haven't announced it....so no ?
  17. Inverness Caley Thistle sign Hearts midfielder Angus Beith https://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/teams/hearts/inverness-caley-thistle-sign-hearts-midfielder-angus-beith-1-4729224
  18. Too soon.
  19. ...but we were told they were going to do that back in September?
  20. I have been guilty of throwing out the "Inverness don't deserve ICTFC because...." line myself in the past, but it is a bit BS-like. It's about what the fans deserve and whether that's a part-time or full-time team (in whatever division) they should be treated with a lot less contempt than they are being at present.
  21. It'll be a "No Statement" statement that repeats everything they've promised and not delivered all season. That will inevitably be followed by something the complete opposite of what is said.
  22. You'll never find the source of a fire if you're not able to look beyond the smoke.
  23. Agreed in principle. I could agree in principle to give the club £10 Million if I win the Euromillions jackpot....doesn't mean it's likely to ever happen.
  24. Would that be previous board members who have given the current board £300k...that we know of...this season? Why would they do that if the plan was to run things down?
  25. I believe that was Stephen Finnie's last match and he's hanging up his whistle.
