  1. He certainly seems to have lost his Magic Hat!!
  2. Away to Hearts is not a bad shout for the club's finances as it would draw a bigger crowd there than here.
  3. As Charles Bannerman's attack on me has been left in place, I would like to make one small point....I was not, and never have been, an employee of the club. The decision to step away from the work I was doing, was mine. Since then I have been back to voluntarily assist people at the club with several different things. So, by no definition of the phrase do I fall into the category of "disgruntled ex employee".
  4. Your reaction is the desired outcome for Charles as it adds additional pressure in the hope of a reaction. Some people will disagree with my opinion...just as I will disagree with theirs...and I welcome the discussion that grows from that. Getting personal adds nothing of value to that.
  5. I know Charles of old and have seen this from him before many times over the years, and quite a bit recently aimed at me. In fact, it is a fairly common tactic employed by journalists of a certain ilk. It fulfils two purposes. Firstly it distracts from the fact that they can't build a case against the facts/informarion presented by attacking the persons character instead...argumentum ad hominem. Secondly, it's a tactic employed to try and get a story; and the theory is that if you throw about enough nonsense about a person/situation (and Charles knows what he's aimed at me is nonsense) they will move to defend themselves and in doing so become the story...again, becoming a distraction to the original discussion. The problem here is that Charles has gone too far in making it personal; and in his desperation to get a rise out of me has drifted into the realms of defamation.
  6. So, Charles....what's changed in the last 14 years that means a large squad of predominantly young players is more likely to deliver success than the previously proven formula of a smaller squad which is made up of both youth and experience?
  7. It's laying the exact same line on Gary as they did on David Raven and OFW.....the former who was made an offer they knew he couldn't accept and the latter who found himself frozen out in an attempt to move him on.....you could probably throw Draper in there as well, as his parting wasn't exactly amicable. Robbo will say all the right things, but ultimately it's designed to put pressure on the player to go. If he stays and the season flops, he becomes the scapegoat....the guy who refused to leave and stopped us bringing in other signings. Sadly it seems to be the way with football these days, but that doesn't mean we have to accept or like it.
  8. A lot of journalists giving the impression that the manager/club are keeping them up to speed on what players contracts/earnings are or have been. Has nobody heard of GDPR ? A balanced (age & experience), full time squad of 16/17 (or there about) supplemented with youngsters and loan signings was enough to get us to the Premiership.....twice before.
  9. If, as we are expected to believe, Gary Warren is being paid over the odds...then by what logic do the club (and those supporting their actions) expect him to find a better offer elsewhere and just walk away? What's more; on one hand this is being pushed as a cost saving exercise...but the story doesn't fit with that as Robbo is allegedly saying that it will allow him to bring in 3 other players. That's not a cost cutting exercise, that's a decision to go with quantity over quality.....a policy that has NEVER served us well. If it looks like BS, smells like BS and tastes like BS....chances are, it's BS!!
  10. Two steps forward and one step back would at least be progress...but we appear to be going with one step forward and two steps back.
  11. Then why not just come out and say that instead of spinning it as a money issue?

    New kit?

In the photo...the badge on the shorts is different to the badge on the shirt.

    New kit?

Better than white....I feckin hated the white trim.

    New kit?

If you get the away kit....make sure you get one where the badge on the shorts matches the one on the shirt ?
  15. Yeah...like you've ever been backwards at that! The electoral management group should have details out in due course.

    New kit?

Love they away top....not sure about the leaky nipple look of the home top, though!

    New kit?

OCG is correct...the lorry was only selling kit for one day last season.

    New kit?

Mind your back....Kingsmills will be after you for turning a positive in to a negative ?

  20. It wouldn't bother me in the slightest if the Royal Family disappeared off the face of the earth tomorrow.....but I don't believe for a second that if they did then we'd have more cash to tackle poverty. It's just not that binary, regardless of where you sit on the argument about whether the Royals bring any economic benefit to the country...or not.
  21. Message me what you can afford ?
  22. Is it to wear or display? I may have one signed by Marley Watkins and James Vincent available if the price is right.
  23. If we can get/keep everyone fit then think the squad is looking not too bad, so that doesn't concern me.
