Hypothetically speaking.... If the club was facing administration (and it would come as absolutely no surprise to me), then it would need to be actioned before next Saturday for the club to take the 15 point hit this season (and 5 next season). If it were to happen in the close season, then the penalty would leave us starting the next campaign 15 points down (5 points the season after that).

Not true as I helped put boxes out in those areas the last few seasons.

We really do need a very big "this is sarcasm" emoji for some people's benefit.

From last August.... The Board of Directors of Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club undertook some weeks ago to adopt a more open policy of communication with our staff, shareholders and supporters. We understand that sharing of some changes and updates has not been effective and we take full responsibility for this shortfall; this remains a key objective as the Club moves forward. It is clear the lack of regular information updates from the Board continues to fuel speculation and concern amongst some of our supporters and the media.

Announcements can/should only be made when there's a break in play so it may not have been said on or before the 90 minute mark...it also takes time for the info to filter upstairs as there's no board goes up for it in the Championship.

Been a few like that over the years....for differing reasons ?

A meeting was held last night and information on the agreement reached on how things will move forward to an SGM (and when) will be issued as soon as a couple of details can be nailed down.

100%...and you only have to look at last weekend where we had 3 suspensions to cover to see the squad is capable of adapting.

I don't agree with the public criticism that Polly gets, but can we please stop with the "hitting form at the right time" bahollicks....in reference to any player/team. The right time for a team to hit form is day one, if we'd done that then we would be in St Mirren's shoes right now. The idea that we've somehow been gearing up for a late push and it's all coming together nicely is, in the words of Stephen Fry, "@rse gravy of the worst kind".

Just because a player has played an important part in the progress and successes of ICTFC since 1994 does not necessarily mean they would rank among our most talented players. Charlie Christie is probably a prime example of that. A good player for the level we were at during his time, but there are many who have played for us at a higher level who would be considered "better" players, IMO.

This meeting has been requested by the CJT board "To clarify the points that need to be discussed to allow us to move forward to an SGM" and is not an open meeting. As we have no means by which to contact members directly (other than those who requisitioned the SGM), we will continue to keep the wider membership updated as best we can via this forum. The requisitioners became entitled to call the SGM themselves following the boards failure to do so....and this doesn't change that. However that can't be done until 1 month after lodging the original letter with the board. In the meantime, communication between the board and members (even via 3 appointed reps) is welcomed...IMO.

We looked more dangerous when getting the ball wide with Jake and Aaron in our last outing... Ridgers (Mark, not Ally) Seedorf Mckay (small k) Warren Calder Chalmers Vigurs Polworth Mulraney Doran Oakley
-
A quick update.... A meeting between CJT and representatives of those who requisitioned them for the SGM will take place next Wednesday. The meeting will be chaired by someone from Supporters Direct.
-
Ladies day tomorrow.....I'm not banking on any of them still being in the stadium come kick-off ?
-
In addition to the above, Vigurs will miss Dunfermline and Livingston.
-
Charlie Trafford, Carl Tremarco and Coll Donaldson all suspended tomorrow. We have ample options in the middle of the park, play Mckay beside Warren and Seedorf at RB then Calder or Chalmers (from memory) are options for LB.....so maybe not as bad as it first looks.

In Scotland, only Premiership clubs are required to have an SLO....and even that is little more than a box ticking exercise as there's little laid down in terms of the function/s they must perform/fill. Historically, ICTFC operated on the basis that the "SLO" was a function and not a person (although they did have a named person in the Premiership). This meant that the correct person could/would liaise with supporters depending on what the situation required. That meant that anyone, including the chairman, could and would be assigned to a relevant scenario....and on occasion when it perhaps needed the knowledge/skills of more than one person, the internal communication was such that this could be quickly put together and/or a degree of trust that if one person had to make a decision on behalf of someone else they could do that without fear of being rebuked. It wasn't perfect, but it made the most efficient use of the resources the club had available. To my knowledge we don't have an operational SLO at the moment. It's possible someone may carry the title, but based on my time operating at the club under the current chairman/board there certainly wasn't the level of communication between board/senior management and staff that would have allowed them to fulfil that function in any meaningful way, shape or form. In the absence of an SLO then fans could normally expect a supporters group to fulfil the function of liaising with a club on their behalf.....but that's a whole different kettle of fish.
