Quarter finals
I like a moan as much as the next person, and everyone is entitled to a view....so, meh!

Caramel Wafer Cup Semi Final
Wasn't expecting we'd have a large attendance tomorrow as is, but this could potentially knock a good few of the travelling support off the total. Just another reason why the colts things is a daft idea.

Just to clarify my position here... I'm actually a huge advocate for Friday Night Football and would switch all Scottish football to a Friday night (why is a discussion for elsewhere)....it's just that this particular date is not appealing for me.

Quarter finals
I hadn't realised Premiers Sports had 2 games...so yeah, that would have made it easy picks for them. I'm in Edinburgh on the Sunday for starting new job on the Monday so Saturday I would have stayed over and Sunday I would have been there anyway. Down, up and back down again isn't appealing and a £22 ticket price makes the decision all the easier....oh well ?♂️

When games are may well depend on which broadcaster gets which game....and they may be waiting until the replays before making those decisions.

Stadium announcements in Gaelic.
I wasn't convinced about this from a "practicality" perspective...i.e. it can seem like there's already more than enough time taken up doing the announcements in English during the short spell between fans arriving in the ground and kick-off without having to do them all twice...however, having been ably assisted by a young man named Daniel from the IRA yesterday, I'm of a mind that it brings nothing negative to the task whatsoever. In fact, I thoroughly enjoyed showing someone what's involved with being a matchday announcer, he really seemed to enjoy it and deserves huge kudos as it can be quite nerve racking to speak publicly (even when hidden away in a box). I don't think it's necessarily going to bring more people through the gate, but if it helps foster a friendship with even a small part of the community and get the club a little publicity then I don't see the harm. There is little doubt that the club have a lot of work to do when it comes to engaging with the wider fanbase/community, however we should try and encourage the club to do more to engage with more people...and not to do less just because what's being done doesn't involve us.

EGM called on 3rd October
Seems the lack of option for ladies with the tie was just a tiny oversight... They've not said what the alternative is for the cufflinks....also not sure why they couldn't have changed the electronic document?!

There's been worse suggestions over the years ?

I wonder if women are allowed to join the new boys club? (free tie...but no option for the ladies!)

January Transfer Window
?I realised you'd put "go" instead of "to"...just took me a few minutes. Sorry.

January Transfer Window
Let me put it another way.... When we were relegated we were told income would drop by £1.2 Million. Robbo has stated that he has cut £1.2 Million from the playing costs. Which means we should be breaking even. We're not breaking even and have lost amounts in excess of £800k each of the last 2 financial years (Nearly £1.7 Million in total)...and are on track for similar losses for the current financial year. This would indicate that our costs/spending have not decreased by that much. Even if you accept that Youth costs have increased by the £400k caleyboy mentions*...there's still nearly £500k a year unaccounted for...or £1 Million in total. So, if Robbo isn't spending the money on the team, where is it being spent? *It is my belief, in lieu of any information to the contrary, that a large portion of the "increase" in youth spending is actually costs which have been shifted away from the football budget...i.e. a share of rent, physio salaries, other services. So, even if we got rid of youth tomorrow, we would not save on a large portion of the associated costs.

I doubt very much the cost of youth has increased by £400k since we were in the premiership either...but even if we accept that it has, where's the other £600k going?
-
January Transfer Window
Our cost base (spending) since relegation has barely changed from when we were in the Premiership, so if Robbo doesn't have the budget...where's the money being spent? Something, quite literally, doesn't add up.

Provan was a midfielder...we're well covered there.

Leaving aside everything else, the utter lack of professionalism in the last two player leaving statements from the club is a disgrace. We could at least try and behave with a bit of class...especially as we'll be desperate to bring other people in.
