  1. What did they base that expectation on?
  2. If success/winning is the biggest factor, how do you explain the increase in season ticket sales following our first relegation?
  3. We are pleased to confirm that John Robertson will be in attendance from 7 till 7.30pm on Thursday for a Q&A with Supporter Trust Members attending the AGM.
  4. I don't like hearing the "I'm done" talk...but that's the growing reality and I'm starting to see/hear it from people who would be considered the staunchest of fans. These are not people having a knee-jerk reaction to a bad game/spell or even a bad season...these are people who feel they are losing their affinity with ICTFC. How do I know that? Because I've engaged with them, I've asked them and I feel the same way as them. If someone is set to walk away then what do they care about the effects of dwindling crowds and finances?...they won't be there, it won't affect them...and they are already feeling like sitting at home on a Saturday (or a Friday, or Tuesday, maybe a Monday and sometimes a Sunday if it's a really big game) is better than the football. We can dismiss their views, turn on them, tell them they aren't proper fans if they walk away etc...but what good does that do? These are people right at the end of their tether and it's not going to take much to push a lot of them beyond the point by which they can be brought back. We are at the stage where it doesn't matter two fecks who broke it, how or why...it only matters that it gets fixed...and asap.
  5. The whole "depth of squad" thing can often be overplayed and sometimes feels like lack of confidence and getting your excuses ready, IMO. Young players aside (as they are still developing), if a manager has someone in the squad and they're thinking "that player can't do a job for me" in ANY game, they are merely making up numbers and shouldn't be there in the first place. Just to be clear. I'm not necessarily saying that is what Robbo is doing...there's every chance his comments on the subject were prompted by questions from the press...but it is what some of us are doing. Our squad has shown signs of both resilience and fragility....and we have to go into the game today believing that it's the former that will show up ?
  6. More images to follow in due course.....
  7. Are you suggesting all the whingers are based in the south? ? ?
  8. It was billed as a chit-chat with the manager, so not a platform for anyone needing the "guts" for any whinging. Disappointing that it didn't go ahead, but it serves as a worrying sign of the apathy that is creeping in and how disengaged the support is becoming. Even during previous 'low' points in the clubs history there were a diehard set of fans who would have provided sufficient numbers for these events.
  9. Whether you fall on the Leaver or Remainer side of the argument, surely you can't fail to acknowledge that the whole thing as got out of hand and lost direction/purpose? It feels like May, once a Remainer, is taking the strop and going...."So you want to leave, do you....well I'll get us out of Europe and we'll see what you think then". It's became a case of "leave at all costs" and not, as was promised, "leave for our own benefit". I gone from having doubts about the current governments ability to govern...to having no doubts whatsoever because I am absolutely certain they don't possess that ability. The biggest worry is that the only immediate alternative for a UK government is no feckin better...which leaves Scotland with only one other option. It might not be a perfect option, but it is better than anything else on offer.
  10. No team has ever become successful from ignoring its own deficiencies and blowing smoke up the backside of the opposition....and that has nothing to do with being classy, or otherwise.
  11. Some people just can't see the positives in anything ?* *Yes, that was sarcasm
  12. Got an exam tomorrow, so unfortunately I won't make the game. No feckin around, let's just get the job done and in to the next round against East Kilbride (home).
  13. Massive well done to Pauline for pulling all this together and making it happen and to the club for hosting it ? ICTFC have hosted a "Festive Friends" dinner for the last three years, but this is the first time they've done it on Christmas Day and that will make a huge difference to those who may have otherwise spent the day alone.
  14. The club have confirmed that players will be able to attend the bowling night ? If you plan on attending, then please get booked in so we know what kind of numbers we are dealing with and can get lanes booked etc. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/ict-supporters-trust-bowling-night-for-kids-of-all-ages-tickets-51348108575 Thank you.
  15. Is/was involved with Action for Children in the Highlands....and was previously the Child Protection Officer at the club (not sure if he still is).
  16. Arrived around the same time as Shinnie and did one season with us before heading off to Dundee Utd; so not sure we could claim too much of the credit for his development as a youth player. However, credit has to go to whoever it was that spotted the potential in these lads and brought them in to ICTFC...even if only for a short spell (in the case of Armstrong and GMS).
  17. You're right, and the last time we got relegated the board then committed £1 Million towards getting us straight back into the top league....and that commitment was matched by the fans with increased season ticket sales, merchandise sales etc....so we know it's an approach that works. There has been investment since Summer 2017....and the records show that the majority of that investment has come from fans who don't sit on the board*. £900k total investment had come in according to the last figure provided by the chairman....with more needed. So, going back to your idea that "Support from the board needs to be matched by commitment from supporters"....I'd say the support are more than holding up their end of the deal. In fact, they are holding up their end by a ratio of at least 5:1 (based on information to hand). *Never been comfortable with the idea that board members should not be seen as fans.
  18. I'm with Kingsmills. Two national divisions with everything below that regionalised is about what we can support based on the size of the country and resources available.
  19. We were told at the fans meeting the other week that there was a new foundation being formed...or had been formed and was just awaiting final approval from OSCR which was imminent. The impression given was that all Youth and Community activities would move from the club to the new foundation....separating them financially so that it would no longer be a burden on the club and would be able to attract new income from sources currently being worked on by Graeme Cooper; who they employed earlier this season to set it all up and get funding in place.
  20. I wonder if Charlie and the rest of the Youth Department will move over in it's entirety to the new foundation we were told would launch soon?
  21. Said this on Twitter earlier...but if the board are serious about making a push for promotion this season, then they need to find a way to increase Robbo's budget in January so a couple more players can be brought in...he and the squad have earned it.
