Absolutely. It's one of those draws where they'll be torn between drawing a big side or alternatively a smaller team who they may fancy beating. They might end up with an unglamorous game such as away to Brechin or Stranraer - I hope they pull a plum tie though. I'd love us to draw them home or away - and I'm sure they'd be delighted with that too!

" his goals came like a tide - but now he's out the side " " the weekly goals we knew - are now so few and few " " he leads the line for 'Caley' - at times he'll dilly-dally " " he leads the line for 'Thistle' - but from his toe, he'll mistle " That's me done!

"...he used to 'score for fun'...but now he cannae 'buy one'..."!

Meekings will make his 100th league appearance on Saturday - joining Nick Ross, Ryan Esson, Graeme Shinne, Richie Foran, Aaron Doran and Billy McKay as current players who've hit that milestone. It's a commendable achievement and the fact we've six other players who've done it shouldn't detract from that. Having 'so many' guys at once simply reflects the stability and continuity within the playing squad that seems to be paying dividends at present. I'm not going to look-into-it, but I can't imagine any other top-flight club currently having seven players with a century of caps. Well done Josh!

The bookies have reacted at last and McBookie have opened their book on the next manager. Derek Adams installed as early favourite at 3/1 just ahead of Terry Butcher 4/1. As Roughie tipped, Owen Coyle is in there at 6/1 alongside Ian Murray. The other candidate with short (< 10/1 odds) is Gary Locke. Further down come the more outsider names - Jimmy Calderwood (I'd forgotten he'd been 'caretaker' there), Craig Brown (I thought he'd retired!) and Alex McLeish (seemingly doing a fine job in Belgium). With the international break after our Hamilton game, it's very likely the new manager's first game in charge will be against us. If it were Deek or Tel, the extra interest would add a few to our routinely expected gate that day!

I genuinely think that once he finally scores, a few others goals will follow. It's just getting that first strike to break his drought. Looking back at his record, he does tend to score in streaks although this is an unusually long time for Billy. Although he did once go for 16 ICT games without scoring in his early days at the club! (he's currently on 12)

It'll be fascinating to see who they're drawn against. They have actually reached this stage (last 32) on one occasion before - although it was then called 3rd round. The 1983 Scottish Cup - Eric Black headed the winner for Aberdeen in extra-time against Rangers, just days after beating Real Madrid...it was that competition. Brora faced Dundee at Dens but lost out.

Reading some of the comments on the pre-match threads on the likes of TalkCeltic and Kerrydale Street forums, it appeared that every man and his dog intended going to the game - as it was their first Saturday 3pm kick off this season!

Billy Davies will possibly be linked.

ICT all-time Scottish Cup record. It doesn't just 'feel' like we often get Celtic, they are in fact the club we've met most often.
-
That would make sense, Renegade. It must be confusing for the away teams playing County in Inverness and sometimes Inverness in Dingwall!

Hamilton will be a tough one. If Partick Thistle are our away bogey team, I'd have Hamilton Accies as our home bogey team!

Blimey! Hughes foxed us all! I don't even need to check back the team predictions thread - 'cos I know that nobody had Tremarco starting!

David Davis also starting for Brum.

That's a good shout, Alex to Yngwie's great question! I'd completely overlooked thinking about the 'SPL'! * Barry Robson, also at Celtic, I suppose also! Thierry Gathuessi is a more obscure one - he played for the Indonesian champions in 2012. Started 30 of their 34 games and actually scored 5 times!! He's since moved on to a different Indonesian team. Stats from 'Soccerway'. On a higher level, Gregory Tade is currently scoring plenty goals for CFR Cluj in the Romanian league, and they're pushing Steau Bucharest for the title - although it's early days there. But, fair play to McCann, he'll be playing in the Asian Champions League next season! (yeah, that's a 'thing'!) * obviously 'warming up' for your Scottish Cup predictions later today!

I looked it up, Scarlet. Their length is plus four inches below the knee!

Other than him, Celtic don't really pose too much of a threat. We have the ability to beat them, so let's go for it! 'Celtic don't really pose too much of a threat' says Roughi - but goes for a 4-1 Celtic win in Gringo's NPL prediction league!
-
That's a lovely old pic of Telford Street. At the back, Scorguie was yet a planners dream! And the actual goals have traditional 'stantions'! None of this continental 'square netting'! Hey, I bet the actual game went ahead too! God I'm feeling nostalgic! Cheers for your outstanding photos IHE.

The Biggest Derby for years in the FA Cup
Sneckboy replied to IMMORTAL HOWDEN ENDER's topic in General Football
Did James Dean see red?! Interestingly, our former defender, Steve Williams was an unused sub in the replay, but did play the first game before being subbed. Chorley can 'concentrate' on the league now - try and get into the play-offs! -
What has the SNP done for the Highlands
Sneckboy replied to Alex MacLeod's topic in Serious Discussion
Is that what it's like now since the 'switch on'? I've not been on it yet! I suppose many folk will be tentative to begin with. -
The Scottish Cup historically, unlike the League Cup, has always been an 'all in the hat' format. That's one of the many attractions it holds, for me, over the smaller cup. I'd like Brora - if they get through!
