  3. To quote Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory after Leonard revealed their Chinese food was coming from 'Hong Kong Palace', "I don't know what to believe! What's real?, what isn't?" !!!
  4. Draper up front?! bughtmaster....
  5. That article from Yngwie is interesting as it corroborates the Tanzania link. However, It's the only place I've read that he was actually born in Africa. Most other sites have him as being Oxford. Confusing! I notice Victor Wanyama was playing in the game. Somebody Twitter him and ask!

  7. Almost in total agreement with the above (Alex MacLeod) with possibly Northern Ireland, Lithuania or Moldova instead of Iceland. The draw next month is crucial. This is a realistic chance to qualify for a Finals again. Nightmare scenario could be a group like: Scotland, Kazakhstan, Belgium, Azerbajan, Turkey, Gemany.
  8. It may be one of those instances where similar names have caused confusion on internet football databases. Gary Warren still has appearances for Arbroath earlier in his career listed on Soccerbase and lots of other websites. But it wasn't 'our' Gary! I remember finding out that there was a GaRRy Warren that played a few times for Arbroath at the specified time but he was a winger who'd signed from a Tayside junior club!
  9. Latapy & Garry O'Connor = rum & coke (I might need a good libel defence solicitor, but it's worth it!)
  10. Seemingly he's been released by Hereford United and is rumoured to be heading to the League of Ireland with Sligo Rovers. He gets about!
  11. Seems he's back playing again, part-time for a club called Needham Market FC. Tier 8 of English football.
  12. Got to imagine Barry Wilson will be linked and no doubt, Robbo! Wonder if Pele would be interested in returning to Elgin? Still a part-time job so might attract him. But it's a tough job with a quite a number of Highland League teams having bigger budgets than even Elgin these days.
  13. When does the window actually close? Is it midnight on Friday 31st January? Or does it 'stretch' to Monday 3rd February with a flurry-of-activity as the officials return after the weekend?
  14. But, of course, he won't be playing in the re-arranged game.
  15. Zola's 6' 3" and whereas Latapy's 5' 6"!
  16. They're understandably well-up for this. St. Mirren more than happy, I'm sure to play them a few days before their semi-final...knowing Hearts will field a team of (even younger) kids! OK! Hearts have the early lead in the mind-games. But there's another game at Kilmarnock yet before we can think about the semi!
  17. Typical! This has been done deliberately to free up Stevenson for the semi-final!
  18. Younger readers will wonder what I'm asking here, but whatever became of the Inverness Cup? It used to be an annual knock-out competition for clubs affiliated to the Inverness FA. (Does that still exist?!) Obviously, back in the pre-Scottish-League days. it was an opportunity for silverware outside of the North of Scotland Cup, Scottish Qualifying Cup and Highland League Cup. Clubs from outside the Inverness area would compete, Fort William, Brora etc., and it was usually played mid-week. I assume it's long since been scrapped. I wonder who the last/reigning cup holders are? I can't find much on-line. I doubt there's much appetite for it now although it could easily be 'fitted-in' to a pre-season tournament played over just a week.
  19. IIRC, I saw him playing pre-season at Clach. (Max Johnson)
  20. In fairness, I should (reluctantly) acknowledge my misinterpretation of 'hotel-gate'. Have just been reading about it and it appears they didn't stay overnight as I 'accused' them of doing. They arrived at the hotel for lunch and had rooms booked to rest in before heading to Forfar. But it's still inexcusable!!
  21. Didn't realise that and I cannot believe it! They were staying overnight for a game against FORFAR?! With an EVENING kick-off. An absolute joke. Even if they'd been playing up at Wick, they could leave at 12 noon by coach and get there effortlessly 2 hours before kick-off if they desired. Actually, they'd probably indulge themselves and fly to that!
  22. The Swindon Advertiser, Yngwie!! Over breakfast! As well as the Trinidad and Tobago Gazette!!!
  23. The original poster claims Hibs are "by far the biggest club" Terry's managed. I'm sure the 40,000+ Sunderland fans that attend home games would disagree!
  24. Steven Watt. Also, only 28 his potential was never realised due o injuries. Picked by Jose Mourinho for the Chelsea first-team for an FA Cup tie (where, reports suggest he was man-of-the-match) his career stalled and is now playing non-league in England. Had a spell with us but I don't recall him playing.
