  1. What will Yogi do with Toby?!
  2. It's like seeing your xmas present sitting, wrapped under the tree for a month and wondering with anticipation what is in the box. Your folks have assured you they were impressed with the quality of 'wants' you presented them with in your xmas list. Xmas morning, you tear open the package only to find a run-of-the-mill jumper and socks set that wasn't even on your wish list!
  3. They also postponed an early season fixture so they could play a glamour friendly against Real Madrid and swell their coffers further. Rangers have done similar in the past.
  4. Mark Brown Ross Tokely Gary Warren Grant Munro Richard Hastings Russell Duncan Barry Wilson Don Cowie Andrew Shinnie Billy McKay Dennis Wyness
  5. You beat me to the punch, Kingsmills. Was about to post the same thing. Kenny Shiels really didn't come across at all well on Sportsound! He could start an argument in an empty room, that man. He'd likely manage to somehow bring disharmony on our dressing room before January's out! Not even in my top 10 contenders for the job. No thanks.
  6. Great draw. Not just ours but the fact there will be a minimum of 3 non-Premier sides in the last 8. Wide open! Early February is huge for us. The Hearts League Cup semi followed by this tie. Win both and its League Cup final and Scottish Cup quarter-finals! We've never played Clyde in the cup but we've beaten Stranraer before although it took a replay.
  7. Saturday 30th November Scottish Cup - 4th Round Bryan Prunty (penalty) (Berwick Rangers 1-3 Dumbarton) League 2 Rory McAllister TWO GOALS (Peterhead 3-0 Montrose) Highland League Graeme Stewart (Buckie Thistle 2-1 Wick Academy) Gavin Morrison (Clachnacuddin 1-5 Brora Rangers) Calum Dingwall (Deveronvale 5-2 Keith) Zander Sutherland (Clachnacuddin 1-5 Brora Rangers) English League Two Sam Winnall (Scunthorpe United 3-1 Torquay United) Ukrainian Premier League Marius Nicolae TWO GOALS (Hoverla Uzhhorod 2-1 Tavria Simferopol)
  8. John Hughes has seemingly been interviewed according to the Daily Express. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/445506/John-Hughes-interviewed-by-Inverness-for-manager-post Aside from paper-talk, If I'm not mistaken, the only concrete facts we know are that the club has interviewed Paul Hartley. Everything else is speculation!
  9. Yeah, it's been impressive how little info has leaked out during the recruitment process. Frustratingly impressive! But an indication that we conduct our business in the correct manner. Are there any bookies offering odds at the moment? I can't find any online.
  10. I didn't expect the SPFL to 'back down' on their initial arrangements. The meeting was no more than lip-service to the 'wee club from the North'. All credit to CJT and Davie Balfour for giving it a go on behalf of the fans. I don't personally know Davie, but he has my full respect for all his hard-work in at least showing we won't take such ludicrous and unfair decisions lying down. I'm sure his representations to Mr Doncaster enlightened him on our club and showed us up in a professional light. Although we didn't get the desired change(s), it's shown we have a voice and hopefully a new-found respect from the beaks at the SPFL. Nothing lost at all from today - in future scenarios of an Inverness CT v Edinburgh semi-final, they'll hopefully think twice about allocating the 'neutral' venue to Edinburgh at an impossibly inconvenient time. Credit to Davie and CJT for standing-up for our club against the central-belt bias.
  11. Right, that's it! I can't stand the suspense any longer. I'm off down to the Eastgate Centre to visit the large fashion retailer situated at the end of the mall next to Argos. I'll demand to speak to or get the identity of their boss. At least that way I'll finally have the name of the Next Inverness manager!
  12. He played the baddie in the 'road movie', The Hitcher!! The 1980's version. Fantasic film. A routine act of giving a stranger a lift turned into a catalogue of terror, suspense and murder!
  13. I hear Rutger Hauer is looking for a lift, Fraz.
  14. Interesting developments and a good bit of PR releasing that statement. I was thinking the new managerial appointment was imminent but know we know it'll likely be a week away. Fair play. It's a big decision for the board. Interesting that some of the candidates are still at clubs. Obviously Hartley, but maybe a couple of 'wildcards' that have slipped under the radar! Intriguing stuff. At least now I don't have to keep logging in here every half-hour...until next week!
  15. Also Interesting to note that the only candidates on the list who failed to get a single vote are Colin Cameron and Allan Moore - both given the bullet in the past few days....proving that we're a knowledgeable bunch at ICTonline! Maybe the Morton and Cowden chairmen were influenced by our poll!
  16. The fickle football fan. Everybody extolling the virtues of a manager not yet unveiled. The same Paul Hartley only 27% wanted in our poll, yet suddenly the best manager since sliced bread!
  17. Maybe you're over-estimating the SPL. England's League One is at least the same standard as our top league. Certainly, I don't see us in a position to be offering £300,000 for players!
  18. Me too. I thought about him at 14's but he still seemed a peripheral figure at those odds when Sutton was odds-on everywhere! But I was fairly sure they'd go for a 'safe pair of hands' like Shiels, Burley, Jimmy Calderwood or Levein, all with SPL experience. If it's to be Hartley, I'd be quite pleased. An innovative appointment. Unlike the above names, Hartley hasn't managed at the top-level previously. Another 'learning-curve' for Hartley would be managing full-time players for the first time. But it's all part of the challenge I'm sure he's looking for.
  19. Rotherham have been watching McKay but I don't think they'd be able to afford him. They concede that £800k is outwith their budget (for Stevie May) and I'd hope we'd put at least that value on Billy!
  20. The Alloa Athletic fans' forum has gone into meltdown. Their 'PH to Caley Thistle' thread has 1 reply!
  21. Approaching Alloa to speak to Hartley doesn't necessarily make him the favourite for the job. It's maybe just his turn for an interview. It just becomes public knowledge due to the protocol of formally asking for permission to speak to their manager. We may already have been in contact with the likes of Paul Sturrock, Craig Levein or Kenny Shiels but haven't heard anything about it as they're not contracted to a club.
  22. Nah - the article's not relevant - scroll to the bottom of its page - to the avatar of the contributor who commented. If you read ICTonline frequently, you'll recognise it - the pixel sizes even match! It's like unmasking Kendo Nagasaki! Obviously, I'm not suggesting they're the same person- I'd get banned for breaching confidentiality - but I was just pointing out how unusual it was to find two similar avatars out of all the pictures in the world, ever, to choose from, commenting on Scottish football! Uncanny. An amazing coincidence I suspect.
  23. Not just you, ICTRoughi! I too am puzzled why the bookies keep taking it down then putting it up again! Currently (at this time) no books are open. I thought it had gone a little quite on the speculation front, so had a look at Oddschecker (who list the odds of most bookies) and there's nothing! I wonder if they've got some inside info and stopped the book to re-evaluate. No sightings of candidates leaving the stadium or at the railway station or airport? Are the interviews even at the Stadium - or indeed in Inverness!? We just don't know! Credit to the Board for keeping us guessing...which is all we're really doing! Hope things are going well, though and that they're zoning in on the right man. It's a big decision and with a likely contract initially until 2016.
  24. Not sure if I'm allowed to post this, so I'll address it in a ROUNDABOUT way....the commenter at the bottom of this article has a very interesting avatar! http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/scotland-boss-gordon-strachan-weve-2844517
  25. I see Allan Moore's been sacked as manager at Morton. Pity they hadn't waited until after the Scottish Cup game - would have kept up our 'famous' record of getting opposing managers sacked!
