  1. He's a terrific player, I agree.
  2. From Twitter.... Final score: Partick Thistle 4-2 Inverness Caley Thistle. But the result is academic, and I'd say the same even if we'd won 4-2. Greenhalgh got the 2nd near the end when we were 4-1 behind. Two goals for him today - he's starting to look the part and this will do wonders for his confidence. I hope he's on the bench on Sunday.
  3. Very youthful team fielded today. Cammy Mackay Connor Pepper Joe Gorman Daniel Devine Calum Howarth Jason Brown Ali Sutherland Ryan Christie Ben Greenhalgh Adam Evans Calum Ferguson
  4. Half-time was 1-1. We equalised from a Ben Greenhalgh free kick.
  5. Good move for Barry. I always felt he would 'end up' there at some point. He's done well with Wick Academy in the Highland League. He also knows Elgin City well having spent some time there under Ross Jack. Also a shrewd acquisition for Elgin with Barry having a high local profile and plenty of contacts. Difficult job though. It's maybe too early to write-off Elgin's season but they'll be looking to push for play-offs next year I'm sure.
  6. phone 01463 220880 and theyll be able to help you. 01463 222880 would be even more helpful! (typo from old caley girl)
  7. Scotty's probably too occupied trying to register the domain name, scot.scot
  8. I may be completely wrong but it's a hunch!
  9. I noticed a bit of hostility towards him during the prolonged new manager debates. He hasn't even been on the Forum since 7th December. He still posts stuff on his YouTube channel but not on here, so I think he's had enough!
  10. I hope they go for Ngoo. Would be hilarious when they rush through the paperwork - only to find he's got an immediate one game Scottish League Cup ban in the event of him ever re-signing with a Scottish club! I'm sure they're aware of that, but you never know!
  11. First time I've checked the odds for this game. We're overwhelming favourites! Hearts are as much as 9/2 to win (90 mins) and we're as low as 8/15. According to Oddschecker, currently more money's going on Hearts!
  12. That would have been ideal for HeScoresWhenHeWants! But, I fear he's been lost to this forum. He's gone from being a prolific poster to turning his back on it - possibly through 'bullying'. The lad was only 13 or 14 and got a hard-time for voicing his support of Paul Hartley over Hughes. It's no coincidence his last post was 4th December, the very day Hughes was appointed. Let's just hope he's not been lost to the Football Club as well.
  13. That's the very one! Was at that game too. Ah, the great days of standing at football! Good point from Mantis re. Partick being 2 divisions below us when they knocked us out of the Scottish Cup - we should be well warned ahead of Stranraer!
  14. Good line-up. But teams only get 5 subs in the League Cup.
  15. Crikey! I forgot about the Queen's Park game! I was at it! Was standing on the 'West' terrace, as it was, and remember watching in horror as a long ball deceived Mark Brown and bounced over his head and into the net. And yeah, Bobby Mann smacked that penalty off the post near the end! No wonder it escaped me! But amazing to think we went on to get promoted to the SPL later that year!
  16. We have prided ourselves as giant-killers through the years on our journey to the top-flight. The Celtic wins were obviously the most prominent, but there were many more. But....have we ever been on the other-side-of-the-coin and humbled by a lesser team? I think we've done well to not suffer any humiliating defeats to lesser opposition! Although it doesn't sound so bad now (particularly with our results this season), the only one that springs to mind is the Partick Thistle game a few years ago when they knocked us out on penalties - they were a league lower than us at the time. Can't think of any others without researching. And, yes, it was the looming Stranraer game that got me wondering!
  17. I never believed there were any 'personal' factors involved with Hartley. If an English Championship club moved for him, he'd be off! As noted by myself and others on other threads, he's capable of seeking employment in Aberdeen and Bristol. Although not a fan of Yogi's appointment, I'm still giving him the benefit of the doubt. I wasn't at Kilmarnock yesterday, but, although a setback, it's Hughes' first loss 'on-the-road' with us. Incredibly, it was also the first goal(s) we've conceded away from home for or three-and-a-half months! True! We could be in our first cup final this time next week, so I'm remaining positive.
  18. I was pondering this a few days ago....What would constitute our biggest game ever? Although a massive game for us, the League Cup semi isn't as big as a Scottish Cup semi. A league Cup Final, however, now that would arguably be our biggest ever!
  19. Dropping Billy would be insanity!
  20. It's not been mentioned yet, but it should be noted that we've got an U20 game on Tuesday away at Partick Thistle (playing in Airdrie). If Richie Foran's near a return, it would be advisable to give him some game-time there. Hughes will hopefully use the game to help him finalise his selection for the weekend. Vincent should certainly be involved, with a view to the Hearts game, to improve his sharpness following his lay-off.
  21. Aidan Chippendale is now playing level 7 in England with FC Fylde. His name may suggest he's muscle-bound and like's centre-stage, but his football career seems to be heading in the thong direction!
  22. ....waiting....for Renegade to mention that Wawrinka won the tennis! Who needs Match of the Day when we had Mahonio v. Renegade last night!!
  23. Although I still think the YES campaign will miss out, anecdotally I'm finding more and more people I speak to who are in favour of (or wouldn't rule out) a vote for Independence. I know it was haggis-day yesterday but this poll was conducted before then! Very much game-on it seems! This thread will be worth watching over the next 8 months... The banter between CB and Oddquine is superb although some of her posts take as long to read as it does to watch Braveheart. Where's pull-my-finger gone? Has he changed allegiance, perhaps?!
  24. That's interesting, Scarlet, some newspapers over here were reporting that the ship could likely run into the UK! I just find it amazing that A ship of that size can 'go missing'!The Daily Mail's hysterical headline: Could this Russian ghost ship infested with CANNIBAL RATS beach in Britain? Experts fear storms have driven abandoned cruise liner towards land after Canadian tow ship lost it a YEAR ago.
  25. Premiership Adam Rooney (Motherwell 2-2 Aberdeen) League Two Shane Sutherland (Elgin City 2-3 Montrose) Highland League Ross Tokely (Brora Rangers 6-0 Forres Mechanics) Stuart Leslie (Nairn County 1-2 Inverurie Loco Works) Zander Sutherland TWO GOALS (Brora Rangers 6-0 Forres Mechanics) English League Two Sam Winnall (Dagenham & Redbridge 3-3 Scunthorpe United)
