  1. North Champions, Culter from Aberdeen.
  2. No Lowland League teams remain but there are still 7 non-league teams (5 Highland League, 2 Juniors). On paper, it wouldn't be a surprise if none of them made it through to the 4th round (last 32) where the 'big' teams come in! But if I put on a bet at the bookies on the 7 league sides beating their non-league opponents, it inevitably wouldn't come in! So, by that 'logic', 1 or maybe 2 non-league teams may just make it! There will definitely be at least 5 clubs from League Two or lower in the last 32.
  3. Hopefully one of the Highland League teams can get through - and we get them in the draw! We've never played a Highland League team before. I think the only non-league teams we've played are Annan Athletic (our biggest ever win 8-1, they're obviously a League Two team now) and Whitehill Welfare. We won that 3-1 and TheMantis has never ventured north of Perth since!! Just joking, Mantis!
  4. It's the Scottish Cup Final that's to be held at Celtic Park and the decision has nothing to do with the League Cup. With Hampden unavailable, the SFA have opted to stage it at the biggest available ground which makes sense. They've announced it now before the 'big guns' enter in next week's draw to show 'transparency' and to avoid being accused of moving the goal-posts at a later date. It's for one season only and of course it'll give Celtic an advantage of playing venue if they reach the final but Queen's Park have that distinction every season! There really is no conspiracy theory here.
  5. Interesting stat from the other semi-final. Aberdeen v St. Johnstone. They've met in cups on 24 previous occasions with the Perth club never managing to knock-out the Dons!
  6. No announcement's been made yet regarding venues.
  7. Yeah, I agree DoofersDad. It's such an amazing achievement that I'm surprised there hasn't been more column inches about it. I too have had a good search around the internet and have found nothing to match it!
  8. League Cup Quarter-final Jonny Hayes (Motherwell 0-2 Aberdeen)
  9. Tuesday 29th October Adam Rooney scored for Oldham and Sam Winnall scored yet again for Scunthorpe.
  10. I knew immediately who you meant but couldn't get the name Frank McDougall out of my head - so I confess to referring to The Wee Red Book... where he's listed as E. MacDougall (Edward) -then it clicked!
  11. Ukrainian Premier League Marius Niculae (Chornomorets Odesa 2-1 Hoverla Uzhorod) His first goal for his new club.
  12. Bloody hell! They probably play that "ooooo Bodyform" song when they score!
  13. Thanks Scotty, that's very useful info. I wonder why there's been no hint as to the rearranged date yet from the SPFL? I can't see why there's not been an announcement As speculated on this forum, a suitable date would be the International break next month. There aren't too many more alternatives in the immediate calendar. It's not fair on the already inconvenienced fans who may have to juggle life/work rotas etc.! No doubt television contracts are having to be re-negotiated or something - fans are dictated to too much these days by TV and corporate considerations! SPFL - Please inform the lifeblood of the game - the fans - when the game's due to go ahead. We need to know whether to apply for a refund or plan our arrangements for the 'replayed' game. Stop taking us for granted!!
  14. That's a good find, Yngwie. Not even playing in the top league in Essex is a huge fall for the guy. Very much amateur football - probably around the standard of the North Caledonian League!
  15. There were 5 different scorers in that game! (St. Andrews United 17-1 Whitehills) Even if a player had netted 16 goals in that game and his team-mate had grabbed the other, he'd be out of contention as I'm looking for the most number of goals scored when a player has scored 100% of his teams goals in a game.
  16. With Grant Munro signing for Brora, they now have 12 ex-ICT players in their ranks, from U20 players to club legends. There's a former youth player of ours, Grant Innes, who I can't even squeeze into this hypothetical team. Ally Ridgers David Hind Grant Munro Ross Tokely Stuart Golabek Ryan Watson Gavin Morrison Dale Gillespie Richie Hart Andrew Greig Zander Sutherland Would be very interesting if we drew them in the Scottish Cup!
  17. Made his debut yesterday! Grant Munro.bmp
  18. When I saw the the score on the BBC website listing the scorers as: Wick Academy Weir Weir Weir Weir Weir Weir Weir Weir .....I just thought, get a grip, BBC! Error! But I checked on the Highland League website - and realised it was true! Astonishing feat. Going to stick my neck out here - I reckon that must be a world record! For most goals scored as a team's only scorer.
  19. It's the SFA who deal with the disciplinary process. The bookings will NOT be rescinded, however. There does seem to be an anomaly with appearances not counting but bookings remaining. Yngwie made a good point in #5 on this thread. If Tremarco had been booked, then he would currently be on one booking from no appearances!
  20. Yeah, it's good to have seen Tremarco showing up well in a competitive game. Although, bizarrely his record will show that he's still to make his debut for us! For all intents and purposes, the game wasn't played. Which is why I'm baffled that the bookings incurred by Warren and Draper in the 45 minutes 'played' still stand!
  21. There are 2 reports of U20 games on the official website, for this season. Certainly not all the games! Other clubs report very well on their U20's games - Hamilton Accies have twitter updates, for example. Although it's certainly nice to be sitting top of the table, I don't think any fan gets up nor down at these results - and I doubt any club sets out to specifically win the U20 league, per se. The actual results are not particularly important. It's really about blooding youngsters, giving fringe players some competitive game time and for first-team players returning from injury. However, fans would appreciate some acknowledgement from the Official Website that these games actually exist! Curtis Allen played the other night - who would have known? Thankfully a fellow contributer (thomas23) informed us on another thread.
  22. That puts us top of the table!
  23. Sneckboy replied to ictchris's topic in Caley Thistle
Although not the most cultured, Devine has plenty of commitment. It's not a helpful tag to label anyone our 'worst' player. Devine has at least made the starting line-up and a few sub appearances. Curtis Allen, meanwhile, hasn't yet made a squad and appears to be struggling to adapt to full-time football. If things don't improve he may well get shipped out in the New Year. Daniel Devine certainly won't be!
  24. I can't fallow that! It's time we reindeerd-in the puns!
