  1. Had Munro been punted and immediately replaced by Warren and Meekings I would agree with you. The season after his release though was a disaster and the defence would have been far superior had he been in it. Remember he was replaced by Aldred, a player who wasn't that great and didn't want to be here, and there was even times when Proctor was played at centre-back! In hindsight we should have kept him for one more year. Tokely though was finished and really hasn't been missed at all.
  2. Just seeing there what the outcome were in similar cases, and I see ex-Dundee United player Grant Brebner bet AU$2.48 (probably about £1) against Melbourne Victory winning a match, while he was playing for them. Strangely he also attempted to cancel it out by betting in favour of them winning or drawing the same Asian Champions League game against Thai side Chonburi FC! He was banned for four matches and fined about £3,000. Kevin Muscat and Craig Moore were also fined, but their bets didn't involve their own teams. Swindon Town were also denied promotion once due to them all betting on themselves to win the play-off. Wonder what the outcome will be for Ian Black then if he turns out to be a serial better againster.
  3. Maybe that'll explain why Christie had to take him off before he was sent off!

Think Adam Evans will come good myself.
  5. There would be times I suppose where the second goal would kill the game off (the 93rd minute for example), but the way the game was going on Saturday (and this goes back to my substitution point), Motherwell had periods of control and we'd gone a bit flat, and had the penalty been given and scored, then it could've led to a very nervous ending. Hence why that 2-0 lead was a bit of a funny one.
  6. 2-0 often gives you the false pretence that you have the game wrapped up and are well in control, but if you concede one the opposition are right back in it. Chances are, teams would be more cautious leading by a single goal, and more relaxed when it's three or four (or more). 2-0 puts you into a funny situation. I see in Butcher's post match interview, he says that he thought at the time that we took the lead too early, so make of that what you will.
  7. The only thing I'd like to have seen done differently, was I'd like to have seen a change made somewhat earlier. The way the game was going at that time, had Motherwell gotten a single goal, they would've been right back in it and would've made for a very sticky ending (after all, they always say 2-0 is the worst lead to have), particularly as Motherwell looked a stronger team in the second half and controlled possession for spells. I'd have like to have seen someone like Pepper or Williams come on a bit earlier to give us a bit of bounce, but never mind.
  8. I think it would be a good idea if Odd Grenland had a friendly against ICTFC! C'mon the caley!
  9. Is there not a funny rule that says they've got to be played in a stadium of some kind?
  10. Certainly not to you. Cheerio.
  11. For someone so upset about people talking about the Sevco saga, you to seem to spend an awful lot of time on this thread! There are many subjects on here that people like discussing. Why don't you go onto one of the more politically based topics and practice one of your similar tirades on there? After all, some people might be showing passion! Really though, maybe you're the one who needs to, to quote you, "get a grip".
  12. Aren't one of those pitches not used by Dingwall Thistle (or something like that) in one of the junior leagues? If so, then it can be done.
  13. Apart from a couple of wayward passes, I thought Raven was superb.
  14. I hate it when we have to shoot towards the away end in the second half! Totally takes the momentum out of the game.
  15. Apparently, Tremarco is banned for this game after being sent off on Tuesday (surely he must be the first ICT player to be banned having yet to make his debut?). Presumably, Cooper will go onto the bench.

He doesn't look any less fit than the rest of them, but I would guess that Celtic U20 full backs are more intelligent and faster than those that play for the likes of Forres and Keith. As I said, he started fairly well, but seemed to disappear as the game went on, possibly through the Celtic defenders cutting him off and dealing with him before he had a chance to damage them.

Did anyone else spot something going on towards the end with the Celtic number 2 and Tommy the Groundsman? Looked like there was something going on between them!
  18. I see Watkins will be out again with the injury he got at Forres, but should be returning fairly soon. The only change I would make, would be putting Allen on the bench if he's fit enough.

Quite impressed with Adgestein and Evans. Greenhalgh started well before fading. Not a bad performance though IMO.
  20. Not if Aberdeen or Motherwell etc. get a bigger win than we do ! Do you honestly think Either if then will beat either of them 4-0? Grow a brain If your going to attempt to have a go at me with your "Grow a brain" remark you should really have a look at what you have typed before posting . * you're You don't need a space before a full stop either.
  21. Was it not Culter that took Partick Thistle to a replay in the Scottish Cup a while back?

He's probably the best keeper we've ever had for dealing with high balls into the box. That's an area where even our best ever keepers (Jim Calder, Mark Brown etc.) struggled. For me, Brill for now.
  23. It'd be good if every club in the Scottish Cup went in at in the First Round IMO.
