  1. I watched the game "as live" on BBC Alba. Did anyone else see the penalty shout for Dundee towards the end of the first half? The ball ran across the 6 yard box, and to me it looked like Warren looked for and then backed into the incoming Dundee striker, which thus brought him down. Some who were at the game may have had a better view of it, but from what I saw and the subsequent replays of it, it looked like a penalty to me and probably a red card for Warren too. Could have changed the game that.
  2. I'm not so sure he would at this time personally. I think he'd be a good choice though.
  3. Lagerback's doing well with Iceland. He's got them to second in their group, would he leave them now to manage a team who's qualifying chances are over. I think Scotland have missed the boat on him I'm afraid.
  4. That must mean Esson's out again then. While I can see why Butcher picked Graeme Shinnie, I'd have thought Warren would get the gig in situations like this. He captained Newport and it's obvious why.
  5. You mean that 50p information sheet? No wonder it's the cheapest! Say what you like about it, but I believe the idea of the Monthly Magazine and the match day add-on is working....for everyone. It costs fans less and it sells more...win/win. 10 x Monthly Mag = £30 19 x Add-On = £4.50 (you get one free with each monthly mag) Total for 19 Home matches = £34.50 (£1.82 per match) Still the cheapest programme choice in the league and even factoring that into the match cost we are still the cheapest day out in the league. To be honest, I would have classed the magazine as the programme, not the information sheet.
  6. How so? No available Scottish boss particularly stands to me - again Souness (who might not even want the job) or Strachan may be a bit better, but neither look that inspiring - also, neither have any experience managing national teams. A foreign manager, who may well be a bit more tactically astute and have more international managerial experience, particularly with smaller nations to me seems the more logical choice. Bora Milutinović could be a man that fits that mould.
  7. I think the SFA have missed the boat with Lagerback to be honest. He's doing quite well with Iceland just now anyway. Souness? Strachan? Coyle?! Dear oh dear, is that the best there is? Souness and Strachan might be slightly better than the incumbent, but Coyle IMO has disaster written all over him. If Scotland want any chance of qualifying for anything again, the only route I'm afraid is the foreign route.
  8. You mean that 50p information sheet? No wonder it's the cheapest! Something strange about the ticket prices on that list as well. It says the "Cheapest Ticket", is that just for a full paying adult? A North Stand concession at TCS is £16 (the price on the list), yet I got into Easter Road a few weeks back for £12 (though they didn't respond of course). I see though ICT also have the most expensive ticket in the SPL at £30. I presume that's for the upper tier of the Main Stand. I wouldn't pay that price to sit up there personally, particularly when you are as open to the elements as you are up there. Not surprised to see Celtic are the most expensive overall. They charge us away fans £23 to sit in what have to be the worst seats in the house, and do barely any concessions at all!
  9. I've often wondered what would happen if an English manager got the Scotland job. Almost certainly, a sizeable chunk (probably the ones you see in their kilts, war paint and hats with feathers in) would go irate. Look at the outrage in some quarters when Terry Butcher was involved. I think there's some people out there who'd rather not qualify than qualify with an Englishman in charge. Strange attitude that, particularly when both Wales and Northern Ireland have both had English managers and Jack Charlton is still beloved in Ireland to this day and is the greatest manager they ever had.
  10. Has Levein been sacked yet?
  11. I was impressed with him. As I said before, he's very hard working and very fast. Seems fairly versatile too, as he wasn't in his regular position of left back and seemed to be playing up front towards the end. I'd be keen to see him get a game in the first team in the not too distant future.
  12. Renegade replied to fraser's topic in Caley Thistle
Thought I saw him at the stadium today. At least I think it was him and he had a very funky blonde hair do.
  13. I was there Beaten by the better team I'm afraid and some of ICT's passing wasn't very good at all. Key moments were the great reflex save by the ICT keeper (Scott Mathieson I think) that he sent over the bar and Martin Laing had a good chance to get a goal back towards the end but it was cleared off the line. Russell Duncan put in a good shift for County but he was the only one of their players I recognised. Morrison, Polworth, Oswell and I think Cooper were all playing for ICT. The ICT number 7 also showed that he has a great work ethic and his little explosion of rage when the referee blew his whistle on one occaison was hilarious! Not much else to shout about overall though.
  14. My main fear prior to the game was that it would be billed and looked forward to as this great tie, and in the end it was dull 0-0 borefest. It was anything but. It had everything; great goals, chances, excitement, even some fighting. You can't ask for more than that! My key points - The long ball that we all hated and called to be well...punted, is well and truly gone and ICT are all the better for it. Continuing to play this passing based, attacking football and good times may be ahead. Contrary to what some were saying, I thought Jones started well but disappeared after 25 minutes. Still wasn't bad though, but I wonder if Morrison is the better option to play alongside Draper. Roberts, despite having a good first half was finished by half time and should have hooked earlier. All in all, ICT won and won well and long may that continue.
  15. I even heard one rendition of "Bring It On Home'!
  16. http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/inverness/193843-inverness-caledonian-thistle-terminate-andre-blackman-loan-from-celtic/ Confirmed - Blackman has left the building.
  17. I read somewhere that at Celtic, Blackman once told Paul Slane he would "break his legs". Charming.
  18. Going by some of the reports on Twitter, it's due to a "criminal matter". Obviously doesn't seem like the sharpest tool in the toolshed.
  19. IMO out of Tokely, Munro and Duncan, only Tokely (past it or not) would walk back into the squad if they were all re-signed tomorrow. He's still a better right back than Raven.
  20. Contrary to what to some others were saying, I thought Tokely had a decent game. Munro on the other hand looked a bit ropey.
  21. I hope Butcher doesn't put Jones straight back in, but I fear he will. Morrison is the better and more logical choice.
  22. I presume they've been given parts of Section B as well - the seats sold there have sky rocketed!
  23. Now that I agree with - I won't be going out of my way to boo them both individually though. In answer to the original topic thread though, I'm starting to feel fairly confident about the game. I'll tell you know, Ross County are not going to try and win this game, and I don't think they will. They'll hit it long until they're red and blue in the face, and I'll be expecting some crunching tackles between Munro and Foran, some flapping and all round dodgyness for the legendary Michael Fraser, with some other shenanigans along the line (this'll probably involve Derek Adams in some way!). Let's get this straight - ICT are going to win this game and win it well. There's going to be some sad and lonely faces in Dingwall tonight, so much so that I'm going to be taking my camera along with me to rejoice in this beautiful spectacle! In conclusion, let's get it right up these rat faced, soup dodging, wagon racing yokels!
  24. I never said I or any other ICT fan should/would cheer them. Booing though would be in bad taste. You mention earlier that the ICT fans should "give them pelters". What a strange and disappointing attitude - neither have done anything to deserve pelters and gave their all while they were here, with both would probably far sooner be playing on our side had they not both been forced out. Don't forget either, the North Stand applauded Mark Brown (and have done for others too) when he came out for the second half for Celtic and this was for a player that left out of choice. If their's "no room for sentiment" and you want the fans to be the "12th man", then maybe you'd be better off trying to urge the fans to ignore the opposition players and fully get behind and give all their support towards ICT. That's how I'll be spending my time at the game tomorrow - hopefully you will be too.
  25. Reguero Raven Warren Meekings G.Shinnie A.Shinnie Morrison Draper Doran Foran Roberts Subs - Mathieson, Pepper, Jones, McKay, Oswell, Brislan-Hall, Cooper Mathieson on the bench, unless we re-sign Jim Calder just to wind up the County fans!
