You are right. Going by a BBC article I found, he initially signed a pre-contract before ICT paid a nominal fee to acquire him in January. Presume that was the paying off of his contract (doubt it would have been much given he was only part time).

I was under the impression we signed him after his deal at Gillingham finished. Yep, he was awful. Edit - Indeed you are right. The Herald reported at the time that we paid a 'nominal fee' in compensation.

I was thinking recently about which players we've paid money for over the years. I think I'm right in saying that the only player in recent years we paid for was for Danny Williams for around £10,000 from Kendal Town. The others I can think of was Dougie Imrie from Clyde for £45,000 and Iain Stewart from Lossiemouth for £35,000. I know there won't be many, but is there any others?

The Daily Record are reporting that Yogi is a target for Dundee United after they failed to bring in Michael O'Neil.

From what I've gathered from interviews and stuff, Hughes's family were (and presumably still are) based in Edinburgh (or around that area). On the face of it, the Dundee United (or Motherwell job for that matter) would be commutable from his home. In saying that though, United look to be becoming a similar club to what Hibs became prior to Butcher going there, a big club but a poisoned chalice on a downward spiral. I guess it could be argued that a less demanding club like Motherwell would be a more attractive place to go. Well you've changed your tune. I didn't see the report, but seemingly Yogi said on STV News the other week that "he'll be willing to stand aside whenever Richie Foran wants to take over." As far as I'm aware, his contract is up at the end of the season (I don't know about Brian Rice). I wonder if he'll see out this season with Richie Foran as boss for next season with Hughes leaving or being moved upstairs. Stranger things have happened.

I heard the story on MFR this evening and I was quite surprised by the tone of it. The club didn't seem to take this top secret approach with Toby Ayala, Darren Murray and JJ Hooper but with this one the tone seemed quite different. I can only presume it's someone that we really like the look of and don't wish other clubs to steal him at the last minute. Presume it's not another lower league unheard of and rather someone a bit more high profile.

Ehm, that's really the way it works now. To be quite honest, if we were to arrive at McDiarmid Park at the normal time, I'd have thought by the time you'd have walked into Perth town centre, it'd be time to walk back again. You certainly wouldn't have enough time to have a meal in a restaurant or something. I can't think of any trip I've made on the bus on the way to a game where we've had any trip to Perth town centre whatsoever, let alone a lengthy stop.

You've completely missed the point. Nowhere did I chastise anyone who does drink and it does happen usually upon reaching the ground or briefly in Perth on the way back. On the CJT bus, the focus, as it should be, is football. From what I gather, the focus on the Ross County bus is drinking. When that happens you'll start attracting people you'd rather weren't going. It's no surprise that most of the drivers attest that they much prefer driving our fans than our Dingwall counterparts.

I heard last season that those running the Ross County bus want to do there's in a similar manner to ours. Seemingly theirs stops at umpteem pubs and golf clubs on the way down, as well as (allegedly) turning a blind eye to drinking on the bus. While there's is cheaper, it's subsidised by the club. I'm quite glad our bus isn't like that in all honesty. Those who use the bus do so to enjoy their football and support their team. Opening it up to those who would be more interesting in the drinking side of it and you'd start having to share the bus with people you wish weren't going IMO.

Some people need to get over themselves. It's over, justice was done and we won the game. The way some people are going on, you'd think it was Sho-Silva that through the punch. Time to stop this foaming at the mouth and get over it. I'm cringing reading some of the comments here!

I recollect in an article about that Murray who was on trial recently, it definitely mentioned that he'd been watched by "ICT scouts". Presumably that means we have and maybe always have had more scouts than Marsella. Unless they're freelancers I guess (if they exist?).
