  1. If Esson is still carrying an injury (the reason he was on bench last week) then there's every chance we'll have Allison in goal. is there a thrid choice at the club? or would Esson be listed as a sub even though he is injured (ive seen this happen before with clubs where an injured player is listed amongst subs) I suspect CD's explanation will be the official line, Libero - better not question it - although I would be inclined to ask what happens if Allison picks up a serious injury inside the first minute and has to go off? Would Esson be fit enough to take his place?
  2. Injuries and suspensions are going to make it tough for TB & co on Saturday, and the Pars tails are up at the moment... Sanchez and Rooney up front on their own won't get much change out the big guys in the Pars central defence.... Especially if our usual suspects will be attempting to punt long, high balls up to them. First league game of the season, and already it's assuming the proportions of a 6 pointer. If we finish the day 3 points ahead of the Pars, it would be a fantastic achievement for ICT... I think TB should go for broke here with this line up : Esson (Got a funny feeling TB will pick Allison) Proctor Bulvitis Munro Hastings or McBain Imrie Stratford Cox Eagle Sanchez Djebi-Zadi Controversial I know, but think about it....even if Lionel makes the odd mistake in an up front position it's unlikely to lead to a goal for the opposition. He's got a bit of pace, and he's very comfortable on the ball. He would be able to create so much more than Rooney in that area, who for me, is just too lightweight at this level. Saturday might just be the day when Lionel makes a name for himself in a positive sense for ICT!
  3. He was on the bench for Scotland not so long ago....
  4. To be honest i think he would struggle on the international stage. he gets ripped apart by the likes of mcgeady and davis so how is he going to fair against some of the best wingers in the world? Our last encounters with the OF gave us a 1-0 win over Rangers at Ibrox, and a 0-0 draw at home to Celtic. Can't remember him getting ripped apart on either of these occasions.
  5. I'm much more than just sceptical, L_G... I was almost hit on the A9 not so long ago by someone who had momentarily dozed off at the wheel, causing his car to drift on to my side of the road... My hand on the horn was probably what woke that person up, as our cars passed a few inches apart. We've all experienced drowsieness at the wheel at some time or another... I'd say anyone who tries to shake it off and drive through it should be banned for life. Drunk drivers are probably less of a menace on the roads than those fighting to stay awake at the wheel.
  6. Poor old Scarlet... He's completely lost it now... Wonder who'll be next. :(
  7. And Djebi-Zadi His time will come.... But sadly not for Scotland!
  8. The club will probably announce it sometime next week.... How many times in the last couple of seasons have the club not had a report and the result up on the website within an hour or so of a game finishing (friendlies, league and cups)? I honestly don't know CD, but don't you think this fixture could have been announced prior to today (Tuesday) ?
  9. Well done Lizi! Any more info?
  10. Beirut is much more up market than this place, Connie!
  11. The club will probably announce it sometime next week....
  12. There was talk of a splinter group of beer drinkers meeting up in the Commercial, Queen Anne St... Now that is a seriously good pub, although you might run into Buffy in there.... but apart from that it should be ok!
  13. Think there's a bunch meeting up in the East End Inn... Do you know Dunfermline Connie? That pub used to be known as Noddy's Neuk - it's in Touch, just off Halbeath Rd... Take your minder with you if you're going there!
  14. Foran is resuming full training this week, and should be available for the Ayr game on the 15th.
  15. Dougie's a brilliant player and his work rate is superb... He might not be the finished article yet, but his game has come on in leaps and bounds since his arrival here. If he keeps working on his game - especially his final ball - his contribution to ICT during this vital season could be immense... I hope he stays put.
  16. Yeah... I'm happy with that.... Coatbridge people are like good French wines... They don't travel well.
  17. Tokely overlooked yet again.... :)

    Predict SFL1

There is one thing that might be in our favour. What I'm wondering is, after say 7 or 8 games, and we are not in the top six in our league, will TB & MM show they have the bottle to make any necessary changes and turn things around? I would like to think our last few games in the SPL taught them a lot but that still remains to be seen. If we finish the season in a mid-table position or worse, it will almost certainly be the end of their managerial career.

I will.... but it probably won't do me any good.

?5...? Taking a helluva chance there, Dmacca!
  22. Totally agree with that - the new signs around the airport are completely ludicrous. Is there any evidence, that tourists from anywhere find these signs benefit them in any way?
  23. I spend a lot of time on here trying to communicate with the dead... :(
  24. I mentioned the "perk" word by suggesting a free pie at half-time might be some kind of an incentive for taking the job on. I do apologise - that was actually intended as a joke.
  25. It's Connie Orr. I can only assume that Fraser set fire to her house or something such is her hatred for him. Connie didn't think Fraser had a great pair of hands....
