  1. Hope we don't have to sit through many more performances like that this season.
  2. Unfortunately I won't be able to make this one... Strangely I'm getting the impression there will be a bigger away support at Dunfermline than what we we usually got in the SPL... Anybody care to explain why that might be the case?
  3. Is that your new hubby in your avatar pic Mrs PB? Quite a catch!
  4. Not everyone will understand this comment... The Commercial is a very friendly and very cosmopolitan pub... All will be welcome (apart from kids) If you're going to the East End Inn, ye'll hae tae tak a lang spoon wae ya, ken....
  5. I think that might just cause your bus to veer in the direction of the pub that's offering free food! How far is it from one pub to the other?...if I can't hi-jack the bus (or get dropped off) then I'll just have to walk from the East End fizz shop. They're about two miles apart.... The East End Inn is probably just over a mile to the east of East End Park... The Commercial is in the centre of town - just less than a mile west of EEP...

  7. Looks like there might have to be a split here, Dmacca... The Commercial is brilliant pub - just like Buffy says - great craic, and an excellent selection of real ales. Serious drinkers (like Gringo) will definitely appreciate it! It was my local at one time - well that and a few others! No kids allowed there as far as I know, and there won't be any free food. Families with kids will be much happier in the East End Inn with the free buffet.
  8. Gringo.... You'd love the Commercial.... Commercial Inn 13 Douglas Street, Dunfermline. Tel : 01383 733876 Football fans welcome. Eight draught real ales normally available. Deuchars IPA, Courage Directors, McEwan 80 Bob, Theakstons OP and four guest ales. Very reasonably priced food served at lunchtimes. Regularly features in CAMRA`s Good Beer Guide. Latest News...
  9. All these 5, 6 or 7 nil predicted scorelines are now beginning to look a tad optimistic.
  10. Hi Buffy Babe... Think they're all heading for Noddy's Neuk or the East End Inn at Touch as it's now known...
  11. :003:
  12. I was in the Elizabethan a month or so ago, and it's absolutely fine - good food and good selection of real ales... It's always been the pub in Dunfermline for visiting supporters. Haven't been in the East End Inn for a few years - it was known as Noddy's Neuk last time I was there... It was pretty basic then.... But I must say - architecturally, it's probably one of the finest buildings in Fife.
  13. I was surprised Liverpool didn't try and sign him after that game!
  14. If there was ever to be a vote on the best topic title of the year, this would be my choice... :025: :icon_ganja:
  15. He was playing in a position he's not all that comfortable with.... Might have been a different story if he'd been at RB on that fateful day... But I think we may have already discussed this!
  16. Well.... at this level perhaps.
  17. Johnboy replied to fraser's topic in Caley Thistle
Blackie's penalty in stoppage time against Rangers at Ibrox stands out for me as ICT's best goal ever. Ok... so the penalty taker is always expected to score fron the spot, but the ultra cool way Blackie slotted that one away with 30,000 gers fans baying for blood, will always be a special moment for me.
  18. This "stuff" should have been consigned to the annals of history and left there to rot.
  19. Yeah... I noticed that too Smee... Your post was witty and completely inoffensive... I had to wonder at what kind of mind it might have offended.
  20. No!
  21. Sober - soberish? First time for everything I suppose!
  22. So... Why not come up for this gig?
  23. Yeah... A good night for ICT... Cox did look good, and looks a natural successor to Ian Black... Oddly enough he was wearing the Number 8 shirt.
  24. Still only 50 Maimie? I'd never have guessed!! You're amazing!!
  25. IHE's teacup would be a more reliable guide.
