  1. In an interview with Brew on BBC Sport, Charles Bannerman says that Ian Black was offered a new contract along with Cowie and Fraser at the start of the season. Brew says this is "old news". In that context some of the recent quotes from Blackie have been a bit misleading. Maybe we should cut Bennet some slack over this. It sounds like he's trying to keep these players at the club.
  2. 4-5-1 at home!!! The home crowd won't be happy if we they see us start in that shape, but i think that Brewster should stick with the team and formation that has served us so well on the road recently. The key is making sure that Cowie and Imrie get forward to support the lone striker - and with Proctor playing right-back we should be more solid at the back to allow them to do that. The lone striker should be Wood. He's the only one capable of giving Dods and Wilkie a run for their money in the air. Anyone who saw Barrowman play at Tannadice will know that he's definitely not the man to do that.

We were 3-0 down at half-time and came back to draw 3-3. Russell had a fight with James Grady and they both got sent off. The amazing thing about the team that Pele put together is how many of them actually did go on to become SPL players. Anyway, if we're going for an all time best team again then SMEE's takes some beating.

This was the squad for Pele's last game: Brown, Mann, Munro, Golabek, Tokely, Hart, McBain, Duncan, Robson, Wyness, Ritchie. Subs: Christie, McCaffray, Low, Keogh, Ridgers
  5. Well i'm laughing even harder after a visit to to the Livilions forum. Imaginitive suggestion for a new manager include most of their former managers along with Graham Rix and Rowan Alexander. One guy has this has signature: "Jim Leishman (2003), Marcio Maximo Barcellos (2003), David Hay (2003?2004), Allan Preston (2004) Richard Gough (2004?2005), Paul Lambert (2005?2006), Alec Cleland (2006), John Robertson (2006?2007) Dave Bowman (2007), Mark Proctor (2007?2008), Roberto Landi (2008) 5 years, 11 managers.. who's next?" Anyone else laughing yet?
  6. If that?s the case then you must know something about the financial situation at the club that the rest of us don?t. I thought we were debt free with one of the lowest wage bills in the SPL. Haven?t ICT become an established SPL club by being a bit thrifty? Marius aside, we appear to have operated on the basis of sustainability in recent times - something that Livingston have never been able to do. They splurged on players and managers they couldn?t afford and now they?re paying the price. Sorry if that seems like gloating but i still haven't got over some of the old grudges.
  7. Call me bitter, but i never tire of laughing at the misfortunes of this serially mismanaged franchise. This week has been especially prolific for laughter material: Being sued for over 300 grand by Pearse Flynn. Out of the cup to East Stirling. Now they've sacked yet another manager - Landi Sacked
  8. I've got a bad feeling about this.
  9. .....or mentioning it to Ian Black. Come on Don. This is the second time in recent weeks that Blackie has seen fit to say to reporters that neither he nor his agent have heard anything from the club regarding a new contract.
  10. Just what exactly is Bennet doing?! Unbelievable. On the 1st of January, Balckie will be able to speak to other clubs with a view to leaving for free in the summer. Will someone else make him an offer before we do? To those suggesting that a lack of finances may be the stumbling block - Ian Black, in the from that he's currently showing, is one of biggest financial assets the club has. To risk losing him for nothing makes no financial or footballing sense. What the **** is going on?
  11. We were really good today. We took the game to Killie in the first half and passed them off the park in their own half. The midfield five were excellent, especially Vigurs who sat deep and pulled the strings - i don't think he gave the ball away once. Kilmarnock changed things after an hour, started to get on top of us and Esson had to make a couple of good saves. But even then we were just as dangerous on the break - Wood had a header saved from an Imrie cross and Roy should've sealed it at the end. I'm very happy. Think i'll lay off Brewster for while.
  12. Wasn't in the Canada team which lost 3-0 in Jamaica this week. He wasn't on the bench either. Does anyone know if Hastings was in the squad for this game? Also, the (frequently wrong) BBC Sport squad list for tomorrows game doesn't have Djebi-Zadi in it. Something's up - i think Hastings will be benched tomorrow.
  13. Very good gentlemen. Now back on topic....................**** off Brewster.
  14. I was never the biggest Graham Bayne fan but i'd take issue with that comment. We've really missed his experience this season and if he was in our squad he'd be starting more often than not. When Brewster let Bayne go, did he realise that we would go into the new season with such an inexperienced group of strikers? I'm inclined to believe that even Brewster wouldn't have made such a strange decision and that the budget for playing staff was reduced shortly before the start of the season as a result of the Niculae debacle.
  15. Grant Munro was definitely a big Caley fan when he was a kid. Jamie Duff, being a bit too young to have stood on at Howden End, may well be the first 'pure' ICT fan to have played for the club.
  16. He's definitely not responsible for our atrocious home form.
  17. Yup, i've heard this as well. No chance of Robbo and Grassa working together again either. Let's move on. If we had a vacancy for the managers job then we would be inundated with applications from experienced managers, as was the case at Dundee a fortnight ago.
  18. That's great. Hopefully Vigurs, Wood and Zander will follow.
  19. I dunno. Mike Smith's quite fat. Grassa's been slimmer. Too many fancy meals on expenses?
  20. "Any spare change mate?"
  21. change the manager

1 win in 8 games - 5 points from a possible 24. Is this our worst home run ever?
  23. Cowie might not be fit according to CB on the BBC Straight swap for Wilson? Don't bet on it.
  24. Caley Stan replied to Grabe's topic in Caley Thistle
Straight from the Craig Brewster book of football mismanagement. I remeber a very similar quote from CB after he played Roy on the right against Rangers last season. Johan Cruyff was good enough to play anywhere - so was Beckenbauer, but Dougie Imrie isn't. Brew has to stop feckin about and play people in their best postions. It's the players who are played out of postion regularly who get pissed off with instructions from the bench during games. Cowie, Imrie, and Blackie - all shackled by tactically inept management are often seen either shouting at the bench or ignoring instructions.
  25. So is Stark just not bothering to watch ICT? If not, then i wonder who he is watching. There have been times this season when we've started games with three Scottish players under the age of 21. Is there another team in Scotland, never mind the SPL who has been doing that? Get yer @rse up to Inverness Stark.
