  2. Savage has a 12% of the shares. Will he still be picking up Marius' wage?

I don't think so. The SFA say: "Suspensions incurred by players shall be served in the competition in which they are incurred".....apart from cases of..... "serious foul play, violent conduct or spitting at an opponent or any other person". So Blackie should be back in the team and the team should play around him: FRASER TOKELY PROCTOR MUNRO HASTINGS BLACK WILSON COWIE MCBAIN NICULAE IMRIE

Munro is available. Duncan is still suspended.
  5. Barry didn't have a great game but it was good to see him back - he definitely still has a contribution to make. What a strange season he's had. He started the season as a first team regular before suddenly dropping out of the squad. When he got back in he looked really sharp and hungry coming off the bench - then he gets loaned out to St. Johnstone. Now he's back and straight into the starting line-up. Is there any rationale behind this method of team selection? Sometimes i think Brewster just picks them out of a hat.
  6. Although this fixture was a meaningless joke, it's still nice to see us win at last. We made hard work of though. Brewster went back to 4-4-2, with Wyness and Imrie up front, Wilson on the right and Markus on the left. Strange then that we spent most of the game punting high balls up to our wee strikers. There was a general lack of confidence and composure througouht the team - most of the players seemed to panic and hoof as soon as they received the ball insted of looking around for a simple pass. In spite of this, we managed to carve out a fair few chances, especially in the first half when Dennis could've had a hat-trick. Gretna came into the game more in the second half, with our defence looking as shaky as ever. McBain and Cowie deserved their goals, they worked well together in the middle of the park and were probably our best players today.

Munro and Duncan are suspended, Bayne's injured and Black's not in the squad.

That's probably the best team available to us WynessShuffle, but Brewster doesn't seem to pick his teams according to ability. There's no chance of Wilson or Wyness starting this game and the team will be worse for it.

Brewster basically confirmed in an interview yesterday that Proctor would play with McGuire in the heart of the defence and that Cowie would play with McBain in the middle of the park.
  10. Don't get side-tracked now Foxy - just who is the fine lady?
  11. The Black story and the general shambles that is our club these days was discussed on Sportsound tonight, including an interview with Brew which can be heard on BBC sport. Gordon Waddell spoke for while about how we managed to go from the SPL team who displayed the most spirit and togetherness to one where every week brings a new story about dressing room unrest. Actually, how did that happen?
  12. That's great Richard, but aren't we talking about Juanjo? And since of you've got Brewster's ear, could you tell him that McGuire is ***** because he doesn't seem to have noticed.

It's the monotony of the SPL that drives such unlikely desires.

It's a bit of a **** take to change the venue of a game with 5 days notice. I was looking forward to visiting roundabouttown.
  15. yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssss sDavie the Bus!!!!!!!!!!
  16. "a sheer atmosphere of chaos" Scott Davie doesn't pull any punches in his description of our defence.
  17. Tokely in midfield
  18. You've been on holiday for too long and christ knows what you're smoking out there. We're falling apart. Brewster must go - NOW!
  19. It certainly seems to be, although it's not the first time the "greatest fans in the world" haven't lived up to their self-proclaimed title: Celtic 3 Dundee 0, Premier Division, 24/4/84 attendance: 4,956
  20. ?I was shocked and gutted by what happened this week - and I don't know why it happened. Last Thursday the manager indicated I could sign the deal on Friday. Nothing happened so I expected to sign it this week. When I spoke to the manager on Monday he told me the deal was off until the summer. It's his decision but it's all very strange and I can't say I'm happy at all.? Dennis Wyness ?I just felt that his performance was disappointing last week and thought that he was in a comfort zone. I?ll see if I can get a reaction.? Craig Brewster ?We thought that we had put together a deal that would be suitable for Dennis Wyness and, on the Friday, our secretary got in touch with his agent to let him see what our offer was. However, he then came back to us looking for more money.? Graeme Bennet
  21. Wyness deal was 'wrecked by agent's extra demands' says Grassa in the Courier.
  22. debacle or d?b?cle: noun 1 total disorder, defeat, collapse of organization, etc.
  23. It's more than that specialbrew - he falls out with people all over the place, drops people when it doesn't make any sense to anyone else and is so stubborn that he's incapable of changing his game plan even when it's clearly gone completely tits up. Brewster has lost our dressing room just like he lost the united dressing room, that's not to say that he's not a good professional, it just means that players don't have faith in him any more. This much is clear from recent events and performances. I feel for Brew. I backed the decision to appoint him because he knew the players and club and did quite well in his first spell. He helped to turn us round this season and we should be thankful for that. The game is up though - the performances we have seen recently are some of the worst ever from Caley Thistle teams. Brew has to hold his hands up and walk.
  24. Wow, what a differece 24 hours makes.
  25. That just doesn't make any sense in the context of what we've heard about contracts over the last few weeks. Brewster practically announced that Dennis was signing a two-year deal and Dennis himself was under the impression that everything was agreed. Also, Dennis was ready to sign the contract before Russell was so why wasn't his contract withdrawn? By spinning lines like that Brewster is simply lying to us. For the good of the club i hope that Dennis comes out and tells us what really happened - not just to him but to Rankin, Wilson and Park as well.
