  1. I'm sneering at Barrowman because he's given us sweet **** all apart from those two goals. So Spectre, armed with those statistics, are you going to tell us that we're better off with Barrowman on his own up front than we would be with a partnership of Wyness and Dargo?
  2. Brewster never knew how to get the best out of Wyness. He likes his strikers to be strong and athletic - hence we find ourselves with Wood, Rooney, Barrowman and Rory to choose from. These guys all have one thing in common - a similar physical staure to a certain Craig Brewster. Denzil's most consistent spell in the SPL was under CC, a manager who knew the importance of touch and vision in a footballer/football team. Don't judge Wyness' contribution on his goals return alone. Craig Levein was talking him up on the radio recently as a 'second striker' who creates space for those around him. He played that role really well on Saturday. We are crying out for a forward with that kind of class at the moment.
  3. I've seen those signs as well Harry. I take it you're referring to the controlled passing of Black and Vigurs, and the attacking energy of Imrie and Cowie. Given that we have those strengths, isn't strange that on Saturday we gave a toothless, passionless, just plain flat performance in a crucial game - the kind of game that would've brought out fighting spirit in almost any ICT team of the past - regardless of their other footballing qualities. That performance told me that the team don't believe in Brewster anymore. In fact, Brewster's constant chopping and changing of players and formations suggests that he doesn't even believe in himself anymore. Stomping feet and demanding change is what football fans do in situations like this Harry.
  4. Don't be disheartened SMEE. If we sent our e-mails, change our avatars/signatures and get our voices heard on Saturday then the message will be received.
  5. Fair play 4ize - my drunken vitriol was fired in the wrong direction. It looks like we've got a disagreement over tactics here. I'd prefer to take my seat make my feelings known from there. There are plenty of good suggestions on this forum for ways to get our point across without turning away (chants, demos, e-mails etc.). If we try these things and are ignored then i'll be the first to come on here and tell you that you're right.
  6. Johndo, i sincerely hope that we will see you at ICT games soon. Yer passion and commitment over the years has shown you to be a true a fan (as in fanatic not fanny) and we need guys like you in our support. 4ize, you obviously see watching ICT as a consumer choice rather than a big part of your life. Fair enough, the merger was always going to attract people like that - your entrance fee will be missed. We've had 14 amazing years following this club. It needs us now much more than it did when we were doing well. I hope that all those who care about this club can get together to change it and support it. Turning away won't help us to stay in the SPL. Showing how much we care just might.
  7. I did my best, it wasn't much I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch I've told the truth, I didn't come to fool you And even though It all went wrong I'll stand before the Lord of Song With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah Callelujah Callelujah Callelujah Callelujah
  8. We should get behind the team on Saturday for the duration of the game and then make our feeling known at the final whistle - in the stadium immediately after the whistle goes and then at the front door afterwards. Brewster's taking us down and it looks the board are going to let him do it. We fans have to stand against that and we have to do it as soon as possible. Can we use this thread to take names for a protest next week?
  9. This is how we started today: ---------------------ESSON---------------------- PROCTOR--MCGUIRE---MUNRO---HASTINGS COWIE------DUNCAN----BLACK-----IMRIE ----------BARROWMAN----ROONEY----------- I know a lot of people would like to see that team and formation at TCS, but Brew decided to play it today - maybe he wanted to prove the home fans wrong. I can't think of any other reason for dropping Vigurs and Wood who have been two of our best performers in recent away wins. Now i'm a bit pyshed, and i was a bit pyshed during the game as well (how else can you watch ICT these days?) but the way i saw it we played right into Saint's hands today. They were always going to wait for us to give them a bit of space and we didn't even make them wait. We started well and pressed them for ten minutes but a simple ball and mistimed offside trap gifted them the opener -how often has that happened this season? Heads went down after that, no doubt. Some players managed to look like they give a fuckl - fair play to Duncan and Imrie for at least giving that impression, but there were guys out there who looked like they didn't care. DON COWIE, you are our most creative player - where the fuckl were you today? Brewster's head went as well - DESPERATION - here's how we finished the game. Same defence but: ------COWIE----DUNCAN-----MCBAIN---- MCALLISTER----ROONEY------SUTHERLAND--- 4-3-3- with Rory on the right wing!!!!!! Balckie hooked again!!!!!! Brew has lost it completely. My instinct was to run across the pitch and deck him but i want to keep going to games and managed to control myself - spent most of the second half greeting into my sleeve. PROTEST NEXT WEEK. DON'T LET HIM TAKE US DOWN. ICT ARE SPL. BREW IS NOT.
  10. We did get really humped. They were better than us all over the pitch.
  11. County @ 2.10 Mon the Staggies
  12. Yer wrong - just like all the other moaners on here who say they they don't/won't go to games because of Brewster. He's short-term - ICT are here to stay. Let's get right behind the TEAM. Fuckl Brewster, ICT are playing a really important game, one that could have a big say on whether we stay in the SPL or not. If you don't want us to win then you're more wrapped up in getting Brewster out than you are in supporting our club. COME ON CALEY THISTLE
  13. Aren't you supposed to cure the schizos?
  14. Hi Robbo, How would you rate the team spirit and work ethic of the group you worked with at ICT? And what do you think are most important factors in fostering a spirit like that?
  15. Happy Birthday Brew! Many Happy Returns (to Greece).
  16. I don't know. The Germans manage it but i haven't been able to find out how. I imagine the regional leagues will have to be flexible with their numbers. The regional pyramid system is the one area of reconstruction that is likely to be implemented. Overtures are being made to the Juniors already through the Scottish Cup and the Highland and East of Scotland Leagues should be up for it. The rest is just pie in the sky stuff. Regardless of what the players, managers and fans think about the repetitive nature of the current structure, the clubs will vote on basis of short-term financial concerns - which unfortunately means they will never vote for less games against the old firm. Hopefully some good will come out of this investigation and discussion that Peat is proposing, but i feel that nothing short of a complete overhaul of the structure is what we need to make Scottish football more attractive to supporters.
  17. I really hope something comes of this, but unfortunately the SFA doesn't have enough power to override the wishes of the biggest clubs. They may get their pyramid system, which is great, but the i think they need to overhaul the whole thing: Premier League: 16 Teams ? 3 relegation places First Division: 16 Teams ? 3 promotion/relegation places North, West and East Divisions: Play-offs for 3 First Divison Places. League Cup: Similar format to Champions League ? Seeded 32 team group stage, followed by two-leg knock-out phase. Seedings are determined by previous season?s league positions. Scottish Cup: Traditional format. Season runs from March to November, with a month long break for World Cups and Euros.
  18. Ralph Milne, i just a had a wee gander through some of your older posts on this forum. Nearly every one of them is some kind of defence of Craig Brewster - and that goes back to his days in charge of United. On countless occasions, you use the word FACT next to some statement of Brewster's brilliance, implying that you have some kind of inside knowledge of the genius at work. I can only conclude that you are on here defending the interests of Craig Brewster above those of ICT, and are therefore not an ICT fan. P1ss off back to Tannadice and take your pal with you.
  19. The tactics that served us so well in the away wins i've seen this season (Aberdeen, Killie and Hibs) won't necessarily work against St. Mirren. Those teams were a bit arrogant, throwing men forward and allowing Imrie and Cowie far too much space on the counter. St. Mirren, sitting just a point off the bottom and having beaten us at TCS while creating just two chances, will be far more cagey.
  20. He's had far too many chances already. Getting hooked at half-time at Cappielow was the end for Rory and i wouldn't be surprised to see him go in January. How long as he got on his contract?
  21. Biggest game of the weekend is at Love Street RiG. Barcelona are strolling to the title this season and this could be one of the least competitive classico's in years. I'll be watching though - Barcelona are great to watch at the moment. The front 3 of Henry, Eto'o and Messi looks unplayable. I 'd love to see them having a go at some of the top English teams in this form. As for Real Madrid - i wish them all the worst - here's an an article on their demise, and an incredible week in Spaniish footbal by Sid Lowe
  22. I'll second that. He's the only player in our squad that can consistently put good balls into the box. St. Mirren and Hamilton?
  23. Midden have a couple more games at Love Street after this so we won't have the whole emotional last day thing to contend with. I'm still worried though, but also excited about a game with so much importance attached to it. Last time we were talking about relegation 6-pointers at this time of year was 2 years ago when we went to East End Park for a tense, niggly 0-0 draw - wouldn't be surprised if something similar happens on Saturday. Neither manager will be taking any chances.
