  1. Did we look fragile and lacking in self belief today? IMO we just need a manager who knows how to pick the team, bring it together and play them in the right places. Archie Knox is that man.
  2. Is Dougie Imrie the first ICT player to celebrate in this way?
  3. That statetment gives me a bit of faith that that we have the right man in charge of looking for a new manager.
  4. I hope the sending off doesn't stop people from seeing that Roy playing at left-back is the way forward.
  5. Great game. Haven't enjoyed a game of football so much since we did them 3-2 a year ago. This game had all the drama and theatre of that day, but we lost this time. The desire of the ICT team and some of the football we played in the second-half gave me belief that we will stay up - something i haven't had for the last month or so.
  6. Somebody said: "The players just aren't good enough". Good enough for what? Good enough for winning at Tynie or good enough for staying up? These players will keep us up if they are played right. The passion today was amazing - from fans and players. WE ARE STAYING UP, SAY WE ARE STAYING UP.
  7. It's a fair point, but in terms of experience in that role, contacts in the game and respect as a coach, he's surely the top canditate. This guy has worked with Alex Ferguson, Walter Smith and Craig Brown during some of their most successful periods. His knowledge of tactics and ability to foster a team spirit are said by those men to be top class. I think this would be a really exciting appointment.
  8. While that would be an ideal situation, whoever comes into should be allowed to bring in their own assistant manager and coaching staff. Look what happened the last time we foisted an assistant on a new manager.
  9. I posted the above before i saw the other thread where the McCall-bashing has begun. I can't quite remeber why ICT fans hate him so much. Is it something to do with our rivalry with Falkirk in the last few seasons in the 1st Division? If people are casting their minds that far back, then they might want to remember just how good Falkirk were at that time.
  10. Ian McCall is also mentioned in today's Herald. I think he wouldn't be a bad appointment. He's consistently overachieved in the lower leagues and knows the Scottish game inside out. However, i've got a feeling he wouldn't be popular with a lot of fans.........
  11. Haven't we been here before? MacDonald set for Inverness
  12. Willie Donnachie at 10-1 Chris Sutton at 16-1 These are the two names from the odds posted by TBB earlier today that don't seem to have been mentioned elsewhere. Where do these names come from if not the media? Have they applied? Actually, does anyone know who has formally applied apart from Robbo and birdog?
  13. Radio Scotland did a great job of inventing an interview with him today then. Maybe they brought in Andrew Sachs to do the impression. Building bridges and all that..............
  14. Here we go again...............
  15. Malpas has been interviewed fot the job in the past and i heard that he was incredibly arrogant and asked Grassa to sell the club to him. Aside from that, his managerial record is bad and he shouldn't be considered.
  16. Interestingly no mention of Butcher in that article. Relevant? It's probably more a case of the P&J not having clue what's going on. Strange that Guardian and Times can provide short-lists and serious hints that they know what kind of manager we're looking for, yet the P&J come out with this random trash. Barry was on Sportsound tonight saying that it's too early for him to take the manager's post, but that he would be "very interested" if the new man wanted him on board in some capacity. He even went so far as to ponder how he would get out of his QoS contract. P&J journalists spend far too much time in The Phoenix.
  17. Mr Cripps by any chance? What a saint that man is... Mr Cripps used to cycle past us every afternoon when we were playing football. If he was spotted, we would stop playing and sing: "Mr 60's - why are you so sexy?"
  18. Congratulations Renegade - i think you've finally cracked it.
  19. Some these comments provide an interesting insight into just how bad things got. I can't help but worry for the future after reading them. It's going to be very difficult for any manager to bring such a damaged group back together.
  20. Online in a computer lab nursing a hellish hangover. I let out the mother of all sighs of relief as my body and soul drained of all the anger and anxiety that's been building up throughout these weeks.
  21. He suggests with that line that he knows something about what the board are looking for. And there hasn't been much said on here about Knox or Chisholm.
  22. Given that the squirrel (allegedly) gets his information directly from the Heathmount Mafia, maybe that's the early shortlist: Butcher, Robertson, Chisholm, Knox. I think Archie Knox with a younger, ICT-related assistant would be an ideal appointment.
  23. Traynor. Don't you know Charles Bannerman is the font of all knowledge when it comes to......well, everything?
