  1. Big, strong, no-nonsense defender according to Robbo who sounds impressed.
  2. Isn't Dinning the guy that Brewster and Malky didn't tap up las season? More info on our trialists in today's P & J Harper had a trial with Partick earlier in the week and failed to impress. Kolesnicenko has 34 caps for Latvia but a quick glance at Wikipedia shows that he hasn't played much football since leaving Skonto Riga in 2002.
  3. Where's latviaman when you need him?
  4. Brewster in the P&J The offer of a coaching role would surely be thing to tempt Pressley to choose us ahead of the Swiss team. Aren't we crying out for a coach to come in and organise our defence? Once again, Brewster is showing his fear of strong personalities. It cost as Park and Barry, and it may now cost us the signing an experienced defender.
  5. I listen to these things every week and they depress the hell out of me. Once more, Brew refuses to take any blame for our problems: Confidence? Defending? Ian Black? So the players aren't working hard enough and it's up to Grassa to decide if Ian Black stays til the end of the season. Sack the players. Sack Grassa. Sack Bannerman. KEEP BREW ok
  6. Linton's been building up to this for a few weeks now. It's amazing how many of Brewster's apologists have interests in defending him that extend beyond the best interests of Caley Thistle.
  7. Just watched the highlights and Proctor was never anywhere near Porter - but then why the **** was Proctor marking Porter? McGuire was playing as the spare man and once again demonstrated a complete inability to judge crossed balls. Honestly, i'd rather have Caff at set-pieces then either of these two. I do feel sorry for Proctor - he's not a bad full-back but he should never be playing in the middle against strikers who are so much bigger and stronger than him.

    Rooney

Has he had less minutes than the other two and managed scored more goals? Brewster doesn't seem to want to play play him on his own. He doesn't have as much physical presence as Wood but he's not small and should be able to throw his weight around better. He's quicker and has a better touch than Wood or Barrowman but just like them he's raw at this level. Considering he'only twenty and he's playing in a team that's self-destructing, he's actually done quite well.
  9. If we get a manager who can organise and inspire these players then we can stay in this league. Even as we lose our most talented players, we are left with guys who will fight to the death The likes of Tokely, Munro and Duncan may not be the most gifted players, but they have a lot of experience and the desire to play for the shirt. I really think it's between us and Hamilton, and that organisation, unity and fight rather than skill will determine which team stays in the SPL.
  10. Be careful Renegade. I think Brew might actually be looking out for your suggestions.
  11. I won't speak for the defence - that's been a shambles since Dods left and only signings will fix it. The part of your post that grabs me is PUNT PUNT PUNT....that wasn't an issue at the start of the season when we were passing the ball really well in midfield - creating chances for the strikers was the problem. But today we kept punting past the midfield without any attempt to play football. Just another example of Brewster's desperation. Get this clown out of our club.
  12. It's a shame that the scoreline doesn't reflect how bad we were today. That Motherwell fan has called it spot on. I just hope the people who decide who manages our club were at the game today and saw that mess.
  13. The last time i saw Vigurs play was at Kilmarnock and he was brilliant. A couple of weeks before that he played really well at Easter Road. I have no idea why he's been an unused sub for the last three games. Was he so bad in the United game? Today, in the absence of Black, the midfield was crying out for someone to put their foot on the ball and pick a pass - but Brew played Roy in the advanced midfield role!!! Somebody said on another thread that if you take out Black and Cowie, there isn't one player in our team that other SPL teams would be interested in. That's probably true, but if anyone can step up in the long-term, it's Iain Vigurs.
  14. You're right, it's not funny. But it is just a bit funny that WL has started this thread after everything he's posted recently.
  15. "CaleyThistleOnline ........... now officially the most boring fan site in the UK. So many threads, and only one topic. Yawn." Who said it?
  16. That's true. I'm highlighting the changes in formation as an example of just how desperate Brewster is getting. He doesn't have any idea how to get us out of this mess and today's shambles proved that beyond doubt.
  17. St Mirren - 4-4-2 changed to 4-3-3 Aberdeen - 4-5-1 changed to 4-4-2 Motherwell - 5-4-1 changed to 5-3-2 Is this a new record for the most changes in formation in a 3 game period? Is it any wonder that our players are running around without a clue what the plan is?
  18. We reached a new low today. 3-2 flatters us - they could and should have scored more. Fair play to the players for going out there and trying to salvage something out of this shambles. Fair play to the fans for turning out in decent numbers on a really cold day for a game that we were never going to get anything out of. Brewser and Malky - please leave and give us a chance to stay in this league.
  19. Calderwood is big pals with Brew and has been manipulating the media in Brew's favour all weekend as effectively as any fan. I'm even starting to suspect that he's Harry Chibber. Here's Jimmy in the P&J yesterday defending his man: Jimmy Calderwood has no right to speculate on the state of our dressing room or to denigrate the opinions of fans who are reflecting on a calander year of results and performances which leave us believing that we will be relegated under the current management. In Calderwood's weird column in the Record, he argues that the media provide a platform for supporters to gain too much influence. Perhaps he should be taking a look at himself and the way he's abusing the power that the media gives him to try and keep his pal in a job he's not up to.
  20. I would be very surprised if there wasn't communication between the club and the police on this. Hasn't Mike Smith been known to interfere in these matters in the past? Don't you find it strange that the police are standing, filming a relatively small group of pissed off (though ultimately peacefuly) ICT fans while at the other end of the pitch away fans can bounce around in an overcrowded stand doing pretty much whatever they want? Are people being targeted by the police because of their opinions rather than their actions? The whole thing is repulsive.
  21. Sinister is exactly what this is. We can have a debate about CCTV another time maybe, but this is something different. Having a policeman pointing a camera at people while they are sitting at a football match is designed to intimidate. It's impossible to ignore and it makes the people being filmed feel like they are guilty of something. I found the whole thing disgusting and i'll be telling the club and police how i feel later in the week. I thought the singers at the Bridge End singers were really good yesterday. We got behind the team throughout the first half and showed our feelings about the current management for a short period after the third goal went. Understandably, everyone went a bit flat after that. We are very tolerant supporters - maybe too tolerant. The club should be thanking us for our patience and support instead of sticking cameras in our faces to try and scare us.
  22. Silence........ Last Saturday my blood was boiling and i was ready for revolution regardless of what happens against Aberdeen. After a hard week at work i've calmed down a bit and i'm actually looking forward to the game. The vibe i'm getting from people is that there is little appetite for organised protest. People will vent their fury in their own way if we're losing. If it comes to that then i hope we can be heard.
