  1. I couldn't read it all. It's just random nonsense. He should've stuck with the Daily Star, that's his natural home.
  2. I thought Traynor was a bit rough with Charles Bannerman - whenever he opens his mouth about ICT, you can feel his discomfort as he obviously knows nothing about the club.
  3. Aye, but apart from that he's nothing going for him.
  4. Hearts have actually got their act together this time and told us exactly what will happen. See Scotty's Ticket Prices Thread
  5. I'd prefer to see him serve an apprenticeship at Ionikos before considering him.
  6. Good shout Chris, but I'd prefer Oleg Blokhin or Jacek Gmoch.
  7. I love the sentiment neksor, but given today's events i think that this is a time to focus on backing the team and manager (whoever that may be) and that's what i'll be focusing on.
  8. Aye, it's a new morning Harry. I hope we can all move on from this messy affair and come together to support whoever takes charge.
  9. I thought we were quite restrained. Anti-Brewster chants didn't really take off properly until quite near the end and in the first-half the support for team was excellent. To suggest that the chanting is preventing us from winning points is another example of the kind of back to front thinking that brought you to the conclusion that Brewster should stay.
  10. These very same ladies told me at full-time on Saturday that i am a "bad fan and a bad example to the youngsters". I'm still reeling from this devastating judgement but hopefully i'll recover in time for Tynie. Will those ladies be there? If they are, i can can guarantee you won't see them open their mouths to get behind the team, so i don't know what gives them the right to judge those who do.
  11. Fair enough, but he has to go. His recent behaviour with fans and the trust are part of what's tearing this club apart. I think that the focus of the fan's discontent will shortly turn to the board, and as the board's public face, that means him. Grassa Must Go.
  12. I would never say never, but the attendance at last week's cup game suggests that if we were to go down, our crowds would be so small that we would struggle to compete with the bigger First Division teams. We could end up playing part-time football in the Second Division within a few years.
  13. Why do you think British people go to Eastern Europe, SMEE? Is it to help people there? Are we furthering the the cause of justice and democracy? Are we enriching these places by installing good British values into the vacuum left by the heathen commies? Perhaps not, i would suggest that the collapse of communism in Eastern Europe has provided us with rich pickings for what the British have been doing for centuries - raping the resources of poorer countries for our own material gain. And no, i don't think people should be forced to learn English in order to come here and take back some of what has been stolen from them.
  14. I can't wait. Another step towards glorious martyrdom.
  15. I cannot understand how he could decide to make these comments now, in an interview printed on the day that fans were ready to get behind the team in great numbers. I really wanted yesterday to be about ICT staying up and about fans coming together to improve our chances of doing that, NOT about Craig Brewster. But when word started to circulate about these comments people the anger that i feel about what this guy is doing to our club returned. He got what he deserved at the end of yesterday's game - a hell of a lot more than 20 people screaming for his head.
  16. Proctor, fair play to you for explaining your position. You have given clear reasons for taking offence to the flag and for leaving politics out of football and i respect that. However, one thing remains unanswered. What gives you, or the officials who asked for the flag to be removed, the right to determine how and where people express themselves? A lot of people are offended by some pretty weird thing, Renegade's bizarre rant about fat people wearing football tops being a recent example, and if all those people's wishes were to be accomodated then we would soon find that we are unable to express ouselves at all.
  17. What a horrible game of football. Hamilton are a really poor team, but they're stuffy and and they expose the lack of creativity in our attacking play. I was hoping Morais might be the answer to that problem but the conditions were against him. We wasted our half with the wind behind us by playing Barrowman up front. He's completely incapable of linking with the midfield, he refuses to (or has he been told not to?) run the channels and on the three occasions that he received the ball into his feet he missed it completely. I know we have wider problems than Andy Barrowman but watching his performance yesterday sums up the frustration of watching Caley Thistle at the moment. We were actually better in the second-half against the wind but it was too late. The conditions meant that it was impossible to play much football which suited Hamilton, who, having got in front had no intention of playing football anyway. The support was great today. A lot of people care about this club and it's great that so many came to support the team. I don't think people wanted yesterday to be about Brewster, but it ended up that way. It is completely natural for fans to voice their displeasure about a manager who they feel is ruining their club. Those who want to silence that voice are in a very small minority.
  18. Proctor, are you willing to be the first person on this thread to explain what is offensive about a Palestinian flag? As for football being about escapism and politics being left at the turnstyle - who are you to decide those things?
  19. Sound like Mr Iriekpen left Scunthorpe on bad terms. It seems strange that he was made captain at the start of the season and then had his contract terminated just a few months later. Good pedigree though - he's played a lot of games at a reasonable level in the lower leagues.
  20. Courier Story - Flag Protest Falls Foul of Football Officials So who decides which flags are political or offensive? The man was not breaking any law or SPL rules by bringing the flag into the stadium and the club should respect his, or anyone elses, right to act within those laws and rules. As Caley D says above, it seems that there are people in positions of authority who are imposing their opinion of what is acceptable with scant regard for the rules.
  21. There are two issues here ? the policy of removing flags and the inconsistency with which that policy is enforced. Hopefully we?ll discuss the flags themselves as this thread progresses, but there can be little argument about the parity of enforcement. The Editorial sums this up nicely in one short sentence: We have heard this point made time after time, yet the club continues to victimise individuals and small groups while ignoring larger, possibly far more offensive, groups because they are more difficult to police. Regardless of how people feel about flags, if the club is unable to pursue this policy consistently then they shouldn?t pursue it at all. One further point - while it?s nice to see that the Courier isn?t afraid to criticise the club, why is it incapable of doing so in the sports pages?
  22. If you look underneath the guy's right armpit you can see Naelifts wearing his ICT scarf.
  23. At least they haven't called it the City Refrigeration Holdings Cup.
