  1. Nice one Maimie. We were quite cheerful in the East Stand too!! This wasn't just an outburst of joy - there was a massive sense of relief too. Thought the Tartan Army were a bit subdued before the game - singing the songs like they were going through the motions. The TA seemed a little fearful of what might happen to us. But the celebration of that goal was like an explosion. It was just incredible!! Amazing stuff!! Just so glad to be there. :brave:
  2. Now if Les Frogais has Ross Tokely on their side that would be genuine cause for worry!!
  3. Huh, they've only got 20 in their team? Nae problem. Our 11 Bravehearts will sort them. Bring 'em on! :brave:
  4. Me plus 7 others. By car. No-one can rob us of the sheer joy of this occasion...................until at least one minute past 5pm anyway! "We'll be coming, we'll be coming, we'll be coming down the road..........................." :brave:
  5. Attendance today was 3517. Can't believe there was only a hundred less v Dunfermline than at the Dundee United match a fortnight ago. I reckon on that occasion they must have miscounted as there appeared to have been an awful lot more than 3600-odd.
  6. Looks like we softened Killlie up last week so that Muvverwell could put 5 past them this week. Can't sell yer best players - Boyd and Naismith - and except yer team to carry on the same as before. As they say, attackers are the first line of defence. I'm just glad that we didn't look to cash in on our best players just to make a quick buck like Killie seem to have done. Congrats to our management for fighting hard to keep our team together.
  7. Good to hear from you Alan and good to see that you are following the mighty ICT from far away in SA. I wonder if you are one of the Butterworth's my late mother taught in P1/2 in Lochardil School?

    John Rankin

Could have had a shot in the first half but opted to pass it. By Christmas he needs to have scored a few goals - and I'm sure that will come.

    John Rankin

Young John will be finding the huge step up from County and the First Division quite tough. I reckon that when he gets his first goal he will eventually get the confidence that he needs to help his game. Seems to be a bit shot-shy. Won't score if he doesn't have a dig - even if its from distance. But in time I reckon he will be a big success for us.
  10. Any win is brilliant...................but a superb performance? Uh ??? ? Did anyone else see a superb performance today v Dunfermline?
  11. Gutted for your mate Harry........... :019:...........not!! Part-time supporters - will they never learn that matches don't end until the final whistle has been blown??? Barry had a good game. Wee Zander looked nippy when he came on. Otherwise we lacked ideas on how to find our way around what seemed like 8 defenders. And did you see the look on Rosscoe's face when he scored that goal? Looked a lot more relieved than elated.
  12. Nice logic SPL _Jaggie. I like it. Scotland doing well is really going to upset all the girners who like to remind us all the time that 'we're doomed'.

    next season strip?

Last time around stocks of ICT strips left Italy by means of elephant train over the Alps but were caught in a snow storm for several months. With this experience in mind its a pity the club didn't stash them in the plane on their way back from their Italian adventure this time around. Hopefully they should be available for Christmas. I just hope they will be available for this Christmas and not next!!
  14. 2 hours?does that mean that the show is now going to finish at 1.15am? :017:
  15. Aye - and that's why they are still in the Third Division. :016:
  16. Watch yourself at those pedestrian crossings Charles. Some of these Italian drivers seem colour blind when it comes to a red traffic light - especially the motorcyclists!! :crazy07: :driving02:
  17. Like fire, water is something that shouldn't be messed with! The old baths were a Sneck institution. The new aquadome is great but will never have the same character as Glebe Street.
  18. Hey don't spoil our dreams Kencar. Dreams are free - and they sometimes come true! :003: Supporters of a Third Division diddy team in Inverness once dreamt that their team would play in the Premier League one day........................and the rest is history.
  19. Back on a positive note - not only is our team starting to believe in itself and play well, we also have an amazing, colourful, good-natured, humourous support who would have brightened up this World Cup a lot more. Remember at Bannockburn (bit before my time, right enuff) - outnumbered by more than 3 to 1 by a superior armed force - our guys stayed positive, didn't quit - and the result - an amazing victory!! :brave:
  20. And I thought we were talking about the Scottish national football team..........................!! Save your rant for 'Anything Goes' Mee.
  21. See - that 5 wins in a row after the split wasn't in vain!!
  22. Not sure of your logic there TMFTJ. Not watching games on a Sunday is part of my way of life and won't be changing for any reason. So if Scotland do make it to the big time - playing on a Sunday in the World Cup Final :004: - I won't be there to share it. There are some things in life that are bigger than football. Anyway, a forum would be dull if we all agreed. But we've certainly come a long way from the time when we were 2-0 down to the Faroe Islands and managed to scrape a draw. I'm sure we all agree that progress has been made by the national team under Walter Smith & Co.
  23. Too much negative thinking on this thread boys (Harry excepted) – not good. Won’t get anywhere as a nation if our glass is always half empty. We are every bit as good as the two teams from Switzerland and Ukraine who played the other night – and probably better.
  24. Eh? Norway 1 – Scotland 2; Slovenia 0 – Scotland 3; Scotland 1 – Italy 1; Bulgaria 1 – Scotland 5. These are results from the last 12 months – hardly a sign that we are ‘down and out’. Don’t put your national team down, TM4TJ. Scotland are a team on the up – and they will qualify for the next Euro Championship. Remember where you heard it first!!
  25. Will be renewing our 4 ST's but not until as late as possible (Friday 23 June).
