  1. SNP up to 54% in the latest IPSOS Mori poll , red tories doon to 20%. Mon the neo-Marxist, sassenach hating, Willie Bell loving, kiltie, hooching, shortbread munching, tail wagging the dog, Jimmy Shand/Calum Kennedy listening, irn bru swigging, bagpiping, Mein Banff reading, sweaty sock separatists!!
  2. What did ye get in yer O Grade(s) and Higher(s) IHE? Musta been pretty spectacular.
  3. Where the feck is it then?
  4. Pedagogical skills still intact CB, a latter-day Mr. Chips.
  5. Didn't go to the HS masel like, but my Dad did and he was one of the most intelligent people I have ever met. Had to get out to work asap to get money into the hoose, while the Aacdemy fops lounged in the common room.
  6. It wasn't all dunderheids at the HS, plenty of gifted students chose to go there for a technical education, normally driven by their parents for practical reasons, the need to bring money into the family. Equally, the Academy was not entirely populated by the razor-sharp minds of the Sneck intelligentsia, as is evidenced on many a thread on CTO.
  7. It's OK.... there are plenty even better analogies What could be better, or more hilarious??
  8. You forgot to mention Mein Banff. Disappointing.
  9. Read 'em and weep our unionist friends (latest Survation poll) : SNP 51.2% (+4.1) Labour 25.6% (-0.5) Conservatives 14.3% (-1.2) Liberal Democrats 5.4% (+1.4) UKIP 2.0% (-2.3) Greens 1.4% (-0.8)
  10. It's odd that if the SNP are so anti-English that one of the most searched items on Google recently is "Can I vote for the SNP if I live in England?" Surely, these sassenach cyber nat separatists have not heard of our inveterate hatred of all things English, or read Mein feckin Banff. Or maybe, the real division in these islands is only now starting to emerge--between those in fatal thrall to the outdated system and social structure, and those who believe that positive change is actually possible, desirable and achievable. Mon the English cyber nat separatists!
  11. Guy can't stand up for falling down.
  12. Great pieces there OQ and Alex. The comfort and security that the current set-up apparently offers is an illusion to keep the unthinking people in their place and the elite in their positions of power. One day, whatever happens to the 'UK', the people will be grateful for the changes that started with the 2014 referendum.
  13. by bus perchance?
  14. Not reading all that, but the last bit stood out for its unintentional irony, when every unionist on here posts obsessively about the 'Nats', the 'separatists', and mein feckin' Banff. "And why on Earth does Cameron get so obsessed about the SNP? Perhaps it is his guilt about how close he was to being responsible for the break up of the Union - but if so, he has learnt nothing. Why can't he learn about being a bit more positive?
  15. Once we round you up into Fort George, you will be forced to read "Mein Banff" 24/7. And, unionists, lighten up ffs, stop taking yourselves so seriously.
  16. No dougiedanger it must remain and all its history told "in particular the repression of the highlanders" Maybe you're right, we could use it to lock up unionists when we get our independence.
  17. What was the home crowd like?
  18. I wish they would pull Fort George down, it's an ugly monument to British repression of (some of) the Highland people. Used to hate going there as a kid.
  19. A few sensible posters on here predicted this outcome, deflection and ineptitude by the authorities, big fecking surprise.
  20. The SFA have succeeded in so far as they have turned this into a spat between the clubs, when really as a few have said, their whole objective has been to deflect anger and attention away from their own bungling referees and administrators.
  21. This most likely what it is, take the heat off the refs for a few days, case gets cleared, and SFA can say they did all they could and can everyone now just get on with it.
  22. You forgot the tongue in cheek smiley at the end too. Honestly, anyone who has ever played football or has any knowledge of it will recognize that it was a clear penalty and that Josh knew it was going past him and did a decent job of feigning lack of intent when in truth he had every intention of blocking the ball by the only means left to him--his hand.
  23. Has Sneck ever produced a single decent tennis player? The weather is terrible for tennis. Ah mind playing up the Craig tennis courts in the summers, seemed like a good idea but soon found out how sh*te it was when ye could only manage a 3 or 4 shot 'rally'.
  24. Crout out! was the graffiti on the wall behind the HE, why was he so unpopular??
