  1. I agree with mamie...................absolute hunks.
  2. They should only peak when they are poken to.
  3. It's a reasonable question is it not. The opening post asks people if they think we can win the league. Anything is possible, therefore yes we can until it's mathematically impossible to do so. I don't see anyone getting carried away after these encouraging results.
  4. We were a bit unfortunate to lose the goal. It should have been cleared a couple of times, but a couple of ricochets and bobbles saw the ball return to the feet of the Morton players. Still, Morton were guff and we looked pretty comfortable for the most part.
  5. Rooney seems to be doing quite well in the poll this week

Another positive from yesterday, the North standers were actually chanting Barrowmans name as he warmed up.
  7. Are Airdrie not Livi though............as they gained promotion after the demise of Livi. Too cryptic for some it would appear.
  8. Oh dear................glad you enjoyed yersel smee, will you be back. The area you were sitting in is the closest to the away fans. The atmo was no worse than other games and there was some singing/chanting going on. Get yersel into the North Stand, it's usually a bit rowdier, although the noise does not carry well from there. We have njust had our two most positive results, yet people will still find something to take the hump with.

We do long corners badly as well.
  10. You can get one on your buttock.
  11. renegade said " I don't think there was three goals between the two teams but ICT deserved to win". He was of course right, we did deserve to win, and there was not three goals between the teams. It was more like six or seven goals between the teams. This was a throwback to the rampaging style of bygone days. At the end of the game Morton were simply ran ragged. Just when they thought it was all over for them, wee Jonny joined in with the game and tore them a new one. Quiet first quarter and then we opened the throttle. Rooney was just superb. His second goal was a brilliant placed shot which looked in as soon as it left his boot. No slackers today with Rooney getting the headlines deservedly, but everyone played their part. I was particularly impressed with Proctor playing in the deep midfield slot with Duncan. This seems to be working well for both of them. Imrie's only downfall was his final ball options, usually choosing the wrong one, however he had a good day. Sanchez was looking good as was Foran. The Samba flair was back as we horsewhipped the Ton rearguard time and time again and could have doubled our tally. No complaints from me.
  12. I have just voted.............not normally a problem.....but it is when you are pished.............rooney, foran, ...and someone else,..........

I second that Kev................striking performance by Adam today, we can't ask for more................... Adam Rooney Thistles number ten
  14. I tend to agree with the absence sentiment Stevie. Players suddenly become much better without kicking a ball. In saying that he certainly seemed to be rapid, in the limited games I saw him. I hope he can live up to the hype as his return to the first team is eagerly awaited. He will have to prove he is better than those already on the park, but Butcher has great hopes for him at this level, therefore lets see how this develops as we certainly need someone with an extra gear.
  15. I believe he only brought unrest to the club with regards to our own supporters. The only difference which may be in his favour is that his tenure was through the SPL years, where some of the rules were strictly adhered to causing unrest with the natives. He was also a dab hand at directing cars from the car park, but a grossly overpaid car park attendant.

I expect it's except, except when expect is expected to be except.
  17. She does a brilliant version of Me and Bobby McGhee, a la Janis Joplin..........
  18. I'm concerned about the Russell Duncan and passing bit...................Butcher obviously sees the game differently. However, Russell is a must in this formation.
  19. Deserved red card for McManus. Not the last man but just a completely cynical foul about one second after the ball was away. Basically he took a kick at Driver when the ball was twenty yards away. Well done to Hearts for holding out.
  20. It would appear that simple dimple has been rumbled by georgeios.................../\..........Some folk will try anything more than once. Same again for me Terry.
  21. He bounce matched yesterday and scored against Aberdeens squad.
  22. Link to website report Dons site red TV is a payable option
  23. Don't know, but there could be a number of reasons. Possible that the SPL/SFL do not authorise these games, no police presence/stewarding/catering etc, maybe even ugly fans. Low cost games, and they give squad players/injured players a run out without being too competitive. Good to see Eric and Andy scoring, also young Shane Sutherland. A few decentt Dons players given an outing. Don't know yet what the ICT squad was.
  24. just for you......from Aberdeen site Jimmy Jabby scored an own goal....................oops. Aberdeen Res 3 Inverness CT 3 Aberdeen Reserves drew 3-3 this afternoon in closed doors friendly against Inverness CT at the Barracks, Bridge of Don. Tommy Wright got a goal and another good run out as he battles back to full fitness. Maurice Ross also played as did Mackie, Maguire, Aluko, Duff and Young. Scott Bain was in goals with a back four of Ross, Crawford, Duff and Clark Robertson at left back. Young Clark had a very impressive game. In midfield Young and Stewart were in the centre with Maguire on the right and Aluko on the left. Although the two players switched wings at half time. Up front Tommy was partnered by Darren Mackie. In a very entertaining and open match Inverness took the lead through Eric Odhiambo on 26 minutes. Aberdeen equalised on 40 minutes when Chris Maguire did really well down the right. His cross was half blocked and Tommy Wright was on hand to slot the ball home. Andrew Barrowman then put ICT back in front on 57 minutes but two minutes later the Dons were level again. Sone put in another great ball and it appeared that Inverness defender Lionel Djebi-Zadi got the final touch to put the ball past his own keeper (59 minutes). Then two minutes after that Aberdeen went in front. Sone Aluko played a superb long ball to Darren Mackie who latched onto it and finished well. (61 minutes) Mark McGhee then made a number of substitutions and Aberdeen lost their shape a bit. On 76 minutes after a bit of confusion at the back substitute Shane Sutherland was given room and he made the score 3-3. Both teams had a number of chances to win the game but Scott Bain and his opposite number Kyle Allison both made some good saves. Mark McGhee will be pleased to have given a number of his first team players a good run out. RedTV was there and will have the goals on at some point. Team: Bain, M Ross (Jack 73), Robertson, Stewart, Crawford, Duff (Shaughnessy 75), Maguire, Young, Wright (Low 65), Mackie (Sorensen 84), Aluko Subs Hansson, Lukasik
