  1. Not these days Jboy. Stadiums on the outskirts are popping up, easy access for away fans as well. I think it's fine where it is. Try getting seven thousand people in and out of the stadium if it were in the town centre and there would be chaos. Falkirks new stadium is in the middle of nowhere, but it's easy to access by vehicle.
  2. Official site is stating there will be a minutes applause in memory of Phil O'Donnell at tomorrows game :clapping03:
  3. But he still cost us the points...again! No he was made the scapegoat by the other defenders errors
  4. I would have thought we would be able to command a decent fee for Rankin as he is now an established spl player and still under contract, the only drawback in this is it's a buyers market as the player himself wishes to leave......allegedly, therefore his price may drop accordingly. Still he should be worth more than we paid for him.
  5. Was he a Spanish coach Johnboy, and was he Fawlty. :029:
  6. after xmas

  8. Yep, the penalty takers seem to have spotted this :029:

  12. Nothing wrong with kissing footballers. I watched the womens world cup on telly and would have kissed most of them, mind you some of the Germans would have made me squeal :blush02: what?
  13. I think Brew Army has it right, I am sure the ball went for a corner or if not a corner went near the corner flag when the cross came in the ball ended up on the edge of the box and it got hammered low and hard into the net. Just goes to show, taken from the bbc website <<Petrov went from villain to hero within the space of a minute when, first, he had a penalty saved by Brown after Grant Munro handled in the area and then, from the subsequent corner, he volleyed past the keeper from the corner of the area. >> Grant Munro and penalties, now theres another topic.
  14. Scarlet I agree, Cowie has made a faster and greater impact since signing for us. In saying that I would be happier if Rankin stayed but if he wishes to be elsewhere for whatever reason then pointless holding on to him. He is by no means a poor player, but Stevie hit on it there, he leaves you wanting more, but what is it? Good luck to him if he does go, he has not done anything wrong at ICT, but leaves us with a flavour of his talents, if he does depart.
  15. :003: No I'm up and about and attended all the games except for the away one on boxing day when I had prior arrangements. Keep taking the tablets though. MODERATORS HAT ON NOW EWS & Rosscoe23 please keep the discussion within the terms of the site users agreement, and refrain from personal insults. Use the appropriate method to report abuse and it will be dealt with at moderator level then escalated if necessary. Best policy is to police yourself, no pun intended. Opinions are obviously split on this one, mine is that rossco is doing alright but nobody is perfect. He has made errors as against Rangers but the game was lost by then, own goal against Aberdeen was unfortunate as he was nudged when jumping with the striker, rush of blood against Well, but showed tremendous pace and if you wanted him to thump someone then McGarry was a good choice. They all have their failings but he surely deserves more backing than he is getting at the moment, he did evoke superman chants against the Dons as he marauded through a few tackles and emerged with the ball but all these moments are forgotten when his team mates let him down and make him the fall guy. I must admit my initial thoughts were penalty........I am now not so sure, but from the refs angle and only one viewing of the incident then penalty it is. Proctor found himself in the same position and became a hero.
  16. thanks for the link, looks like Granty and McGuire ran away from Miller and Tokely was left to pick up the chase. The same McGuire who got Proctor red carded, and the same Granty who has given away most penalties, but lets just blame Rossco cos he is easy game just now whilst most people are on his case.
  17. Tokely unjust criticism in my opinion. He competed well against a tricky opponent and having just seen the goal on the news someone in defence missed the ball or misjudged it and Tokely was the one who reacted first and chased down fall over boy Miller. No qualms about the penalty but he does not need much help to fall over. Tokely caught up with him just inside the box and maybe Miller sensed that and went down. Not sure who missed the keepers kick out initially, surely not golden boy McGuire?
  18. I am a %age man............too manyon the go to not notice and some from good sources. You ar just being a whitey :blah01:
  19. Hamish McAlpine used to take Dundee United penalties. Apparently another useless fact is he was the fastest footballer over 100 yards. Pretty useless information, but nonetheless, it's information for you, brought to you by tm4tj corporation.
  20. Sorry, I don't read newspapers. I find it hard to imagine him staying when rumours abound that he has sold his house or bought one in the central belt. Does not sound like a man who will pledge himself long term to ict.
  21. erm not very quick rig, and no it does not ring any bells either. I have always thought rankin was a good player but has struggled to live up to his billing, and there is a difference between being fully fit and just returning to full time training. I am not writing Rankin off, but like the rest, if they want to go, or moreso don't want to stay, then cheerio. He has done better since he came back into the side but never takes control of a game. I have never seen Patti control a game, but I believe he could turn a game as can Rankin at times, but I thought we were getting a more complete player when he signed for us (rankin) Patti given the chance to show his wares could be the next big thing, however if he gets as many opportunities as some of the guys then he will be shipped out as well. Iain Black is the one we must make sure we hold on to.
  22. Wonder what the stats are, I thought he saved them all............well it seemed like it
  23. Millenium Man it is then, it just has to be Barry, the man for all seasons.
  24. Get shot of him and get Patti fully fit, I believe he has greater potential and will offer more threat with his allround game, heading and pace being better than Rankins game. Thanks for the goals, especially the Rangers one but bye bye.
  25. You can proclaim whatever formation you want, but the crux of the matter is where the guys actually stand when they are on the pitch once the game starts. I would say Marius played slightly behind Bayne but in front of the main block of midfielders. He was more subdued yesterday and resorted to shooting on site but that proved ineffective into a stiff minus 10 chillfactor hurricane in the first half. He did have our best opportunity with a header which the keeper dived low to save but the cross held up in the wind and he could not get sufficient power in the header to seriously trouble Langfield. He was also inches away from poking the ball in from a goalmoth melee and fired a couple of better shots goalwards but he did not play as effectively as he did against Killie when he was outstanding. I thought Bayne put in a good shift winning balls chasing and harrying . He fired in a good twenty yarder in the second half but Langfield was well positioned to pluck the ball from the top corner. Fraser was solid Tokely undid his graft with the pointless challenge, McGuire and Granty dealt with everything with relative ease, Hasting, it's just a pity his crossing and shooting leaves a bit to be desired, Cowie worked hard again and made himself available, except for the one time he was not overlapping much to Rankin's annoyance I think, Black magic, including standard booking for late tackle, Duncan had a solid and sometimes flashy game, interspersed with wayward passes, but that is the norm, Rankin beavered away to little effect, not as big a miss as some believe, Marius too cold for him or maybe he just froze, Bayne played the targetman role to good effect, but alas no goals. Richie Hart made an appearance, but it was too little too late. I thought maybe Bazza would have got a run out for the last quarter but not to be, and wondered what was the point in leaving Wyness on the bench when we needed a goal. Still, we may not have beaten the Dons, but rest easy in the knowledge that we are a better team than them. I can not imagine the home support being very pleased with the Dandies performance yesterday, although to be fair to both teams the wind was the real winner.
