1. Talking of injured players, I hear that Novo is struggling to make the game on Saturday. from the Record Oh dear how sad never mind hahaha
  2. Remember watching him play for Elgin many moons ago, when the buffalo roamed the plains. He was a great old fashioned striker, always the one to look out for if you needed a goal. Sad to see some of the stalwarts of bygone days departing.
  3. Not sure where we will be watching, the nearest Sports bar is the Quay Sports Bar on Commercial St Leith, thats one we have used before when down in Embra. Watched Scotland beat France in that one, my boy, (crusher) stays on Constitution street, about four hundred yards away.
  4. How did you know it was him?

  9. Zogg was at the Brondby Chelsea game tonight in Copenhagen. 0- 2 for Chelski. We forged some great links with some supporters when we did the pre-season trip to Denmark and this has been reciprocated this week when Zogg has met the brondby Boys, Iver and Jacob for tonights game. They have been very helpful towards Zogg and his friend Kieran the Caley Jaggie and this is much appreciated. It is great to know that football fans across the globe can be united and work together despite the differences. We are now an International team and are forgeing relationships on all fronts, our fans are breaking new grounds and it is a pleasure to be an ICT supporter. Thanx Iver & Jacob Alex Mee, Jim and us Zoggites remember the great day we had at Farum and the not so great hangover we had in Copenhagen the next day...........ha ha..............Zogg especially, but allegedly, he has met the man he was...ahem, unwell on in the same bar.....Kelly's.............how wierd is that........either Zogg has been frequenting Kelly's more than we thought or the guy in the bar likes being under the unwellness every weekend. Anyway, Mee Alex Jim and mine, I still have the contacts if you are wishing to converse. denmark + 046.jpg_thumb

  11. They might well finish with less than 10 men yet, both their goals were absolute defending disasters. They have been scything down the opposition at every opportunity. Put big shinguards on for Sunday game.
  12. On that theme bread, I have been in a crowd of over 12,500 for a cup game at Elgin V Arbroath. My mate wikipedia said The 1960s provided Elgin City with seven Highland League titles, two League Cups, three Scottish Qualifying Cups and four North Cups as well as Scottish Cup glory never known by a Non-League club since before the first World War. The Scottish Cup runs of the 60s are still spoken about yet in the Laich o' Moray! 1960 - when Forfar were crushed 5-1, then only two late goals denied City a famous win over Celtic before 11,207 fans at Borough Briggs. 1961 - After a thrilling 2-2 draw with Airdrie before 7,800 crowd, City went down 2-0 under the floodlights at Broomfield Park. 1967 - 9,500 see First Division, Ayr United beaten 2-0 at Borough Briggs, but the City went down 7-0 to eventual European Champions - Celtic - before 34,000 at Parkhead. 1968 - wins over Albion Rovers 3-1, Forfar Athletic 3-1 and Arbroath 2-0 (before 12,650 crowd) see City in the Quarter finals, only to go down 2-1 at Cappielow to Greenock Morton. The early 1970s also provided silverware aplenty, League Champions in 1970 and 1974, Scottish Qualifying Cup winners in 1970, North Cup winners in 1971, 1973 & 1976. Scottish cup runs also continued in 1971 - wins over Stenhousemuir and Berwick,

    Dargo or Dods

Play the game chaps. I reckon Dods will be the big miss as we have not replaced him with a substantial proven defender. I'm sure the young guys are good players, but are they ready to be thrust into the cauldron that is the SPL, relegation dogfights included free of charge. Yes, thats probably us. We have signed cover strikers, albeit they are injured/no permits etc. but they are/will be in place soon. using that equation......what was the question again..............oh yes I went for Dods being the biggest miss.
  15. Competitive games only I would go for Peterhead and Elgin City, I don't recall playing them since they joined the league. Never beaten Celtic in the league either.
  16. I'm unavailable, I'm having a tatoo :029:

    Joinville

He came good in the second half, worth a contract I thought, he can only get better with more training and getting to know the guys round about him. He was a bit lost at times against County, caught out of position on occasions but seemed to be more confident later in the second half. His timing looked suspect, but he is a big boy and looks the part, full time training will help him flourish and his confidence will benefit as well. sign him I say.

    League Cup?

SPL teams normally enter the League cup a couple of rounds in do they not, unless they have changed the format. Are you thinking of the Challenge cup :029: My mate Wikipedia said The competition is open only to the 42 senior clubs who compete in the Scottish Premier League or Scottish Football League. There are no replays in this competition, so all matches ending in a draw after 90 minutes are decided by extra time and, if necessary, penalty kicks. The four teams who, based on results of the previous season, have qualified for UEFA competitions are given a bye until the 3rd Round of competition while the ten teams who finished highest in the SPL/SFL without qualifying for Europe receive a bye into the 2nd Round. The remaining 28 teams begin play from the 1st Round. They are drawn into random pairings with the games played at the stadium of the first team drawn. The 14 teams advancing from the first round are joined by the 10 teams who received byes into the 2nd Round. Of the 24 teams competing in the 2nd Round, the 12 teams who finished highest in the league during the previous season are seeded against the second group of 12. The teams who advance from the 2nd Round are joined by the final four teams in the 3rd Round, again, with seeding in place. The remaining rounds of competition are unseeded.

  22. Mrs PB make you what..................pregnant. :029: The thoughts I was referring to were the audible thoughts emanating from the crowd and not aimed at you :blah01: but if the cap fits, wear it :023: If he is not good enough he won't need us to tell him in front of the rest of the team, he will know himself, it's not his fault he gets picked for the team.
  23. Have we maybe just lost the plot and are looking for a scapegoat and Rory fits the bill at the moment. When writing my report after Saturdays game, I also forgot that Rory did some good skills as well as some lesser ones. If his shot at the gaping goal had been a foot lower it would have burst the net, unfortunately we all remembered the outcome. In fact Denzil never got slagged for missing the initial chance, top all time ICT scorer could not find the net and Rory was left to get the mud on his face. He combined well to set up Roy boy for the slice of the century, nobody slagged Roy for missing wildly. It struck me that we are now immune to noticing anything he does that should be applauded because....well it's Rory and he must make an erse of it..........well I dug deeper into my memory banks and came up with this on the match thread:- >>Just remembered, Rory hit a ferocious looking shot which beat the diving Bullock but crashed back off the top of the post for what would have been a great confidence booster for him and a spectacular goal for us to watch. We tend to now look at his weak points and forget the good things he does, in another move he drifted off the defenders shoulder, chested the ball forward and hit a shot which Bullock saved well, so all is not lost for Rory yet.<< This does not disguise the fact that his aerial challenges are pretty feeble, he does not even look at the ball when he jumps, or if he jumps, but it goes to show, we see the rubbish aspects of his play and it is making us reticent to show any applause and encouragement for the better points of his game. I say get off his back and let him work at his game, one day he will surprise a few of us and score a barrowload....maybe. No I'm not his agent, just fed up of the persistent abuse this guy gets. Keep the thoughts to yourself next time. Wyness is not exactly setting the heather on fire and his work rate is pretty poor, but he does not have to put up with the constant negativity. I know Denzil has the skill, but he should work harder off the ball. There, I slagged him, me bad. Now, Russel Duncan's passing............thats for another thread. (thanks for the session IHE)
  24. What does the rss little orangy red icon do, the one on the left side of every forum next to the forum name. Does it stand for "Really Simple Syndication" and is it a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines or podcasts. An RSS document, which is called a "feed", "web feed", or "channel", contains either a summary of content from an associated web site or the full text. RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with their favorite web sites in an automated manner that's easier than checking them manually. RSS content can be read using software called a "feed reader" or an "aggregator." The user subscribes to a feed by entering the feed's link into the reader or by clicking an RSS icon in a browser that initiates the subscription process. The reader checks the user's subscribed feeds regularly for new content, downloading any updates that it finds If it is that......does it serve any purpose on the site or is it a programme to help run the site? heres a little rss 2.0 file I made :023:

Liftoff News

Liftoff to Space Exploration.

Star City

How do Americans get ready to work with Russians aboard the International Space Station?
