Support - sup·port (suh-pawrt)–verb (used with object)
I'm with you Beach, I am fed up with the knockers as well. Tough game tonight, and we will be up against it, but so far, all games against the Rangers have been settled by just one goal. I am sure the guys will do their best, lets just hope it is good enough.

Charlie Christie in the Sunday Times
I have never seen so much guff written by 'expert analysts' about a subject we once again know everything about. But one line that is being misconstrued is the finishing 11th and 10th. Surely the rationale behind this was that we can build on this over a number of years without being accused of failure. The sudden lurch to the verge of the top six has left very little leeway for anything, we are almost at our maximum with the current squad. Now that CC is the manager the only way is down, I don't mean relegation, but maybe not finishing so high up the league. I hope all you CC bashers are happy with the undermining of his confidence, because you are only contributing to the downfall of the team, well done. Once again CC can't do right for doing wrong.

Whinging
Ahh, the old best form of defence is attack, lets just counter whinge with a whinge. Did we lose, no. Did we lose a goal, no. Did we get outplayed, no. Established SPL team, no. Punch above blah blah, no. Are we playing poor, yes. Do I expect anything else, no. Am I gratefrul..........yes. We did the old play decent football but lose thing against Killie, in retrospect I would rather have taken a point or three. Remember, if you do that every week, you will get relegated. Moan all you like, it's your prerogative, I like a good moan as well, but the guys need a break from this, it's Xmas, enjoy your turkey. IHE, get back in yer sub, you are depressing me :015: Sandy..............have you got piles?

:015: I feel for CC, he is on a hiding to nothing and people on here are only adding to the fuel to undermine his position. He may be to polite to say it, but for fecks sake can we all just give the guy a break, it's a difficult enough task without the 'I told you so' brigade on here gloating every time ICT fail to thrash someone. He is trying his best and he cares a lot for this club, some of the 'supporters' would do well to remember this and show the same loyalty. :018:

Whinging
Look in the mirror, do you know who that person really is? What is it with everybody just now. Why don't you all just get it off your chest and say what you really think. We on this forum have developed in to a bunch of moaning gits, a whole screed of Richard Wilsons. What the feck is wrong with us, we are all having a really bad time of the month. Stand back and take a look at yourself, should we really be criticising people about something we know little about. How many of us have been SPL footballers? How many of us have been managers of an SPL club? How many of us have a clue about what we are typing? If the answer to any of the questions is no, then why do we all feel the urge to come on here and girn. Some of the posters on here could girn for Scotland, nae Britain, even Olympic standard. When you don your wee red white and blue scarf on a Saturday lunchtime, do you expect to see Real Madrid playing at the Tulloch stadium or do you think for a minute that only ICT will turn up. We seem to have forgotten our roots pretty quickly and are now turning against our once beloved wee teuchter team. We are playing in the top league in this country, it's not our fault the standard is mediocre. When things are not going to plan, why don't we just ask for the manager to be sacked, bring me the head of Charlie Christie, why stop there, why not sack the board. What is wrong with us, normally placid folks getting all worked up over a game of football, step back, take stock and get a grip of reality. We have evolved into weegie like morons who think we should win every game, hey, I have got news for you, we never will win every game, we should enjoy it while we are here, it may not last for ever. We are what we are, no more, no less............. Give it a rest, don't they know it's Xmas time. Oh, happy Xmas ya moaning bunch.

Hmm
Good to see you are remaining upbeat throughout this trying period. We are ICT, we are not Brazil.

Will we stop complaining if we draw or beat Rangers?
Do bears shite in the forest I suspect we will Rodger the huns, and Bayners will score a hat-trick.

Dunfermline V ICT - matchday thread
I completely disagree with you Scotty. The distance is making your brain go puggled. Why should they be happier than us, they did not gain any ground on us and they were in front of their own fans, we on the other hand kept them to a minimum. They have been the worst team to visit us by a mile. The future is bright, Charlie will get a knighthood for this.

Dunfermline V ICT - matchday thread
A draw was the minimum required and we succeeded there. We have kept the biggest aid to keeping us in the SPL at arms length. We kept a clean sheet and never had anyone sent off. All the other teams around us apart from Well lost out, and their goal difference is much worse. All in all, a satisfactory day, if not aesthetically pleasing. The proverbial six pointer fizzled out, but we must be happier than the Pars with the result.

Black in booking shock Notice that Liam Buchanan has scored a hat-trick for Cowdenbeath.

We seem to have a number of invisible men playing today, here is a picture of them.

"Charlie Isn't The Man For The Job"
Yo Bozo, feck off with yer negativeness and go and watch the huns or the tims, maybe you are just ferkin dumb, but I have now had enmough of your shite.

remember this
:015: Remember watching him at Ibrox last year and he was amazing, he kept the ball in the air for the whole of the half time break, ran the length of the pitch keeping the ball up with any part of his body...... unfortunately when he got into the box he volleyed the ball over the bar from about six yards in the p!ssing rain, marvelous stuff. :015: loser

Funniest thing you have heard
This one made me chortle first time round. During one of our games in our 'Pitoddrie season', decisions were going somewhat against us. Now, I had the misfortune to sit within earshot of one of our more moronic followers and as the game wore on and the ref was making our man more and more exasperated with every blow of the whistle, it suddenly came to a head with yet another dubious call. He exclaimed in perfectly clear Black Isle dialect, "can we have another referee, coz this ones broken". (delivered in one breath and single tone) Genius, and he doesn't even know it. :003: I'm blind I'm deaf I wan't to be a Ref :015: :015: How apprpriate :003:

Brew for Killie....
North tonight news just now :010:

Next week
Most entetaining game this season Mr Lifts. Everything was good, except the result. First half especially we looked like Barcelona, flooding forward and ripping Killie apart. Unfortunately Killie didn't follow the script and inexplicably went 1-2 ahead, back we came, but slackness and the ref ensured we lost. However, your last thread was questioning the entertainment value. This was it, very entertainment to the end. Stick with it, we showed today that we can play neat football, we just forgot how to defend. But that's entertainment!

ICT V Killie (matchday thread)
Aye, sore one to take. fair play to Killie, they always like to have a go at us up here but we kinda shot ourselves in the foot undoing the brilliant early work we did in this game. Lot has been said about our defence playing poorly, but in all honesty Killie played a big part in the goals and maybe more credit to them for that. Brown was not really at fault for the goals, hard one to take when Nish sclaffed his shot through Broonies legs, chit happens. The first was a decent corner, a good near post knock on, and Naisnith was the only one to react, goal, simple as that. Denzil and Dargo were on fire for the first 45 and could and should have scored a couple more. Great movement, stepovers, dummies, dribbles, we saw it all and Denzil especially almost scored a beauty having done the spadework himself with a couple of scoops and dummies and double shuffles, unfortunately Smith made a good block, life. He also made an outstanding save from Blacks point blank header in the second half, more misery for us. Twenty minutes to get the equaliser but it just didn't happen. Draw would have been fair enough, defeat was hard to take. No complaints performance wise, just the result :019:

Mark Brown and penalties
I'm still with Broonie, not really his fault today, sclaffed shot going through his legs............life

That's Better!!
Can't be ersed reading every word above but,...................we ferkin played like Barca today, especially in the first half, would have put your Chrissie pressies on Denzil notching a brilliant second goal for us. Hey ho, we lost, but we were fantastic for 80% of the game, we did not deserve what we got. More tomorrow once the boo boys have their say. Well done Cromarty for honest views as usual, nothing more than i would expext from a true fan.

Dargo & Bayne
It's always the same guys who come in for the criticism. only forgotten when he scores against Rangers, not for the first time either. Alex is right, get off the players backs, constant nagging week in week out does nothing for them but knock the confidence out of them. seldom do we see Dargo being criticised or Parky, even reserves become better players without playing, but in reality, everyone has off days. Dargs missed a penalty, hey ho, makes him a better person does it? He gets credit for making runs off the ball and flicks that don't work whereas Bayne does the grafting and gets slaughtered because Dargo can't read what Bayne is trying to do........so who's fault is that? make your own mind up, but it's always the same guy who gets slated for it. Well, for all the snipers, I hope CC puts Bayne on as a sub when we are one nil down with fifteen minutes to go and he scores a hat-trick, unwitnessed by the hordes who left early because the long ball was not working and Russeldinho's passing was suspect, Blackie was sent off for a second late lunge, Tokely was out of position cos he was supporting the forwards, Dodsy had given away the penalty that put us behind, Dargoa and Wyness both missed penalties for us and Brown's kicking was awry, Hastings had gone to Canada, Golly made an appearance and the invisible man was nowhere to be seen, Rankin kept Morgan out and displayed all his old first division player of the year skills, oh nearly forgot, Grantie played ok, cos he is local. Aye, the future is bright

ICT - The Future?
Today is yesyedays future........... Tomorrow never comes, cos when it's tomorrow, it's today........... Lets wipe the slate clean and start with a good performance against Killie. Remember, theres always Dunfermline.

ICT - The Future?
Bozo, it appears that your future is always bleak, glass half empty, Scrooge like.......... You do make some valid discussion points but for me the neverending story for Charlies head on a plate detracts from any theories you have. When ICT entered the SPL, what did you really expect to happen? Did you think we were going to sweep all before us and win the league before Xmas? Did you really think we would be in the top six? Did you really think we would qualify for Europe? Some folk.... Charlie has been criticised fo making realistic comments about the team firstly avoiding relegation, hey, that is real life, that is what we must do every season. He is on a hiding to nothing here, the guy from the lotto job wins Champions League, aye, dream on. It's like all the people championing Caff for weeks, well well, look what happened when he got a game. Don't get me wrong, I think he is a decent player, but it's easy for people to slag off others and say we should have done this.....or that........or put on this sub......or whatever, but how do we know that it would actually have altered events in real life, we have no way of proving if they would be correct until it happens, it's like saying...........we would have won the game if we left Dargo on............prove it! Have your say, but give the manager and his colleague some support, through the good and hard times. The only thing that have made him a bad manager is that we have become too predictable, teams have sussed us out, Charlie himself has not altered his approach so why is he getting all the stick. I am disappointed with the results of the last two weeks, but hey ho, it's a funny old game, although I bet you are not laughing the now. :019: How about it, deal or no deal.
