  1. McSwegan started well, but after our goal disappeared until he hit a fericious shot from thirtyfive yards after an hour. We attacked until we scored then sat deep/were pushed back. Marcus had a good game, my MoM, looks to be a goal threat cutting in from the left and not afraid to try to skin the defender, and good in the air as his goal showed. Evenly matched...............well I thought we could have drawn the game given our more advanced second half display. I thought Caff had a great second half, should be replacing Dods for the last five games, we need to know now in competitive matches if he is going to cut the mustard. Duncan and Black were just fine, Black not looking likely to get sent off, but there is always the chance of it after the first booking. I have no complaints about yesterdays performane, better than the United game and we played with plenty of endeavour in the second half.
  2. I thought this was about two teams from the Welsh leagues :017:
  3. Pretty entertaining game and but for the shoddy goals we gave away, we could have had all three points. Duncan was good today, Black, (while he was on), looked well capable, Paatelainen my pick for MoM, he gave us a more positive threat coming in from the left side. Rankin did well..........oh he wasn't playing, could have been for all he did last week. Dods, great stopper centre half old style, but he had the miss of the match from six yards, hoofing the ball high over the bar in a typical Dodsy punt, now that man does punt. I thought Caff once up to speed had a great second half and I would have no qualms about leaving the departing Dods on the bench for the last five games. The rest were ok, Tokely having a difficult time with the dangerous Naismith, but he stuck to the task well, Hasting unusually good cross for Patti's brilliantly headed goal. Barry tried, but it wasn't to be. Sweggers started brightly but faded badly......untill he unleashed a ferocious shot from a long way out which the keeper tipped over. The subs all played their part, Rory looking eager to please, Zander lively on the wing and Hart given less opportunity apart from taking the cornes. Fraser, I would not blame for any of the goals, especially the first, the defenders let the ball bounce in the six yard box from a long throw in, unbelievable, Mike would have expected someone to hoof it, unfortunately no one got a touch and he was left in no mans land for the ball to bounce high over him and get bundled in at the far post, schoolboy stuff defenders. Strange decision on the touchline led to the start of the second, ultimately a decent finish, the third although neat finish by Naismth, we afforded them too much room in and around the box, overhead kick in all the way. My opinion, we almost snatched a draw, which overall we deserved, but for very slack defending for the Killie goals, mind you our second was poor from their point of view. Good home crowd for a change at Killie, due to the reduced prices and free tickets for schools, ICT, learn from this please.
  4. Thought he looked eager to work when he came on yesterday, maybe thats his best position at the moment coming off the bench.
  5. 50/50 whether to hook Black yesterday. He did deserve his booking, he did a couple of earlier challenges that went unpunished, but he was the most likely along with Pat to unlock the Killie defence. He may have lasted the whole game, but thats no guarantee that we would have gone on to get a point or three. mabees aye.............maybees no.
  6. clacher you poncey part time ankle slapper, get yersel to the game. Crusher will be on the megabus to Perth, Zogg and I will pick him up at Broxden junction and hey ho off we go. :ban-llama: :driving01: :driving02:
  7. Aye well done something for him to aim for. Even Rory would probably admit he has not been at his best recently, but when the rest of the team are not playing all that great, it is difficult for him without good service, anyway, well done to Rorry for the inclusion in the squad.
  8. I am pretty close to securing an away day, negotiations are at an advanced stage...........another couple of bottles of wine should do the trick. Zogg definitely, and maybe crusher from Edinburgh might attend as well.
  9. Down the line the train came puffin Caley six........... Killie nuthin.
  10. film of the same name is pretty good as well. listen to cocaine blues by Johnny Cash, get in there.
  11. How does that one go EWS :023:
  12. Blew a great chance to close the gap on Gretna.............................on the other hand County are now in the play off position for relegation. QoS 1-0 St J
  13. Huh, your wife said you were carp in bed last time we slept together :023: oh sh!t, did I really post it :010:
  14. you can just feel the love on here
  15. Wow, everyone is perfect............ 3 is what we should all be aspiring to be, I would like to be a 3 but am prob halfway to a 4 will anyone own up to being a 1 or a 5 :015:
  16. Who woke you up! Prove to me that he made those mistakes and show me the proof that if he had done whatever that the results would have been different. Hey old git, it's impossible, everything is hypothetical In other words it's all in everybodies minds, what is right and what is wrong
  17. aaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrggggghhhhhhhhhhhh You can't compare watching East Stirling and Montrose at the Howden End to watching SPL football at the TCS. Of course it's going to be dearer, the value of the product is greater. And wow, it's really difficult to get to and from the stadium. What is missing is the passion from the fans, yes those same old Howdenenders, who Caley were probably their wee team, now they are in the same division as their old firm heroes they are truely showing their colours. Thats not fans of ICT, thats just miserable sods who want a cheap Saturday afternoon. SPL prices are not just the fault of the individual clubs. Seems to me that the excuses not to go outway the excuses to turn up and support your team. Stop going on about the price of games as if it's a bloody surprise, it's the price we pay for success.
  18. He has gone on loan until the end of the season and 39 year old Alan Main has signed a pre contract with super J's. Decent keeper Main, he could have provided vital experience in Mike Frasers developement. Are Gretna crumbling? I hope so, it's a long way for a midweek game in winter. glad to see you are paying attention car, it's a typo.
  19. To make his comeback in a reserve game against Rangrers on Tuesday. CC hopes he will do 45mins and assess him after that. So, a bit of good news at last. :021:
  20. :015: what a coincidence :017:
  21. Why are you guys showing us photos of your girlfriends? Some of them are lovely by the way.
  22. There appears to be a massive gulf between reality and some fans expectations. If the cap fits, wear it. Only the fans themselves will know which category they are in, and judging by some of the responses, it would appear that CC is the one who has hit the nail on the head. Why has every single word that some people utter have to be disected and scrutinised through a microscope and then the truth or rationale filtered out and only the comments applicable to certain fans appear before their eyes. Like it or not, we probably are the most fickle fans in the SPL, borne out of the newness of our club, old traditions, but a brand new club, live with it We all have our off days, but would you rather we were still plying our trade in the Highland league? The constant sniping at the management for whatever is grinding everybody down. Yes CC has made errors of judgement, but show me someone who has not done that. If he states on national Tv, yes I was rubbish today it was all my fault would that please everyone? I think he would be castigated by the fans for making the mistakes, but who would say well done CC you made the mistakes that cost us the game against Celtic. I am only fighting CC's corner because as far as I know he does not come on here to defend himself against the tunnel visioned fans. Is he the man for the job, who knows, but he has done ok so far, would we be any better off if a big time Charlie from the central belt was in charge, who knows, but the reality is he and Parkie are the ones at the helm just now and deserve better than being slagged off every week on this website. I would not blame him if he packed it all in due to unnecessary pressure from the fans, who needs enemies when you have fans like ours. The management can only do so much with the tools in his dressing room, he is a manager, not a magician. Yes, we are a small club with a small budget with a small fanbase with small wages with small etc's..............all these are facts and are contributary factors to the reason we are unable to attract the big money players, thats life, learn to live with what you have, and live within your means which we have just been able to do so far. Yes Saturdays game was not the most pleasing on the eye, but after sitting watching the game and thinking that was the worst ever match I had witnessed, I read a report on the game. It's amazing how quickly we forget the chances we did create and remember the general poor quality instead. I know everything is not as rosey as we would like, but keep it all in perspective and rmember who we are. I am sure CC appreciates the fans, but it is a two way process, take a look at yourself and see which way you dangle.
  23. You go and wind in yer fishing reel and get back at the helm ya fekkin patient.
