  1. A nice wee response to all those who doubted his ability to continue the good work started by Pele, continued by Robbo and Brew and now CC and Parky have shown that they can also play with the big boys. So, for all you midges and humpedagains.....................HAVE SOME :021:

Much as I think Dods was the reason we did so well last year, why should clubs be held to ransom by players and agents. This would not be in the best interests of the club from a playing perspective, but stick him in the reserves and make him see out his contract. ICT are bigger than any player, no matter who. He has been a stalwat at the heart of the defence, but what would we give for a defender that can pass the ball out of defence instead of hoofing it the way he is facing. I am sick and tired of these guys coming up here, getting their own careers kickstarted again and then because ICT make them appear better players, they want to return to bigger and better pastures........how often have we seen that scenario crop up, and fail. Stay put and get on with the game Dods, you know it makes sense. (thats it, that should be good enough to make the Courier :015: )
  3. We'll haved none of this nonsense on here :018: I am looking for 7 points as well, yes seven points. We can start by getting the monkey off the back against the Dons, our customary point off the Hibees, welcome Joan Collins, and stuffing the wayward foreign dictatorship of Lithuania, they were tripe up here last year. Celtic will always be the difficult one, (theres always one), so I will settle for seven points from these games. No easy games left in the SPL, but we are capable of, holding our own against them all and even pinching a point or three against the big boys, so, chin up.

Should be interesting after match interviews in the pub.
  5. Don't think Leicester fans were too fond of Levein, he almost got them relegated :010:
  6. "Former Aberdeen manager Paterson joins the club from Highland League side Forres and will be assisted by ex-Ross County boss Neale Cooper. " That from the BBC website tells me it is Neale Cooper as assistant :010: Will the real N Cooper stand up please.

Wimp We give the guy his big break when nobody else wanted him and now the road is getting longer :010:
  8. Circumstances mean that Pele will be construed as our best ever manager, but hold on, he was managing a team in the lower divisions whereas CC is holding his own in the SPL. Only time will tell if he will go on to achieve the greatness tag or will Pele be the the champion.

Scotty..............stop spamming, so good you said it thrice :016: "If I were a Pars fan, I would be very very worried .... think I would urge my club to pay the 50k compensation for Robbo rather than risk losing 2 million by being relegated."
  10. Whatever Smart money is on Brewster off to Dunfermline, with Levein taking over at Dundee United. Would have thought Dunfermline would suit him better, less expectations and will be given the time to make or break.

Joan Collins will be announced as the new Hibs gaffer on Tuesday. Probably taking Tommy Craig as number two.
  12. Hmmmnnnn, Charlie Mann has since been kneecapped and sent to the salt mines. :010:
  13. Well, I feel sorry for Brewster. The poor guy is gutted. He took the wrong job at the wrong time, he should have stayed with us for a couple of seasons while he was still learning the trade. Too much too soon, the jump up from managing a team with low expectations to managing a bunch of duds with high fanbase expectations was too much to handle. He can't do it overnight and his record at United is extremely poor, whereas we have gone from strength to strength. Lets not forget he took our team forward and did his bit for us. A lot of our fans are bitter about the way he departed, but it seemed like the next step for him, just too early in his managerial career though. I for one take no joy at seeing the guy being laughed at every time his losers lose, his esteem must be at an all time low. If you were not performing great at your job would you want publicly slated or would you prefer coaching. Yes he made a rod for his own back, but gloating over this is in poor taste. He made the wrong decision and that is of his own doing, I will let him suffer in silence.
  14. Duncanoffski Blimey, I thought we had got someone from the revolution at Tynecastle :010:
  15. Looks like the revolution will ruin Hearts sooner rather than later. Pressley has made a statement which does not look good for the Jambo's, but fair play to him, Hartley and Gordon for standing up to the power crazy dictator. Pressley told a media conference: "This is a statement on behalf of a number of players. "This statement is no reflection on Eduard Malofeev. My first impression is that he is an honest and diligent man. "I would like to wish Valdas a speedy recovery, but whether he returns or not is almost incidental in association with the problems related to this football club. "I have tried, along with the coaching staff and certain colleagues, to implement the correct values and discipline, but it has become an impossible task. "There is only so much coaching staff, a captain and certain colleagues can do without the full backing, direction and coherence of the manager and those running the football club. "While publicly I have expressed the needs for unity, behind the scenes I have made my concerns abundantly clear. "The last two years have been testing for the players and together they have faced a number of challenges. "I would have worked hard to have retained unity. "However, due to circumstances, morale understandably is not good and there is significant unrest in the dressing-room." from bbc website The writing has been on the wall since the revolution started and I have no sympathy especially for those that sold out for personal gain and not the benefit of their so called loved team.

My tuppence worth. Rankin was not Man of the Match, but he was certainly Man of the Moment on Saturday. I also thought he was poor right up till he scored the two goals that won the game, very grateful for that, but otherwise he looks like someone playing with low confidence. Therefore maybe this will be just what he needed. First goal was a great strike, second goal was a deep cross under the crossbar......the rest is history. And agreed, can someone take the e out of Rankin please, it is really not clever to spell his name wrong.

I dislike this term, it is terribly condescending :008: We are what we are, a mid table SPL team whether others like it or not :010: Put up or shut up, thats what I say :003:
  18. :015:great thread :015: Who would be a footie supporter :015: Denzil did make the most impact when he came on, shuffling past defenders with consumate ease, brilliant. Rankin, until he became a hero was ineffective, but if he can be this ineffective every week, then fine.

hmmmnnn, not sure if we would get away with a 4-5-2 formation :016: Tactical genius :clapping04:

Fantastic chip from Denzil but the whistle went as he was in the process. Denzil was brilliant when he came on, I thought he was the one who made the difference, beating players laying the ball off and generally causing mayhem for the Falkirk defence, Hart also was prepared to run at them, well done chaps.
  21. tm4tj replied to davieB's topic in Caley Thistle
Once again I find myself agreeing with rigster on the Falkirk crowd size..........500-700 maybe.
  22. Just as well we sold on Liam Fox....................or he would have been known as that guy Fox. oooohhhhh foxy
  23. Well, that Graham Bayne guy did a good thing on Saturday and lots of people swore at him in Glasgow, he must be a bad person :017: I will take a 1-0 win in everygame this season, we will then be Championees :clapping04:
  24. tm4tj replied to RiG's topic in Caley Thistle
I'm with rigster on this one, ICT result means much more to me than Scotland winning, pleasing as it was to beat the French, but we have had an Intenational team for years, ICT are new and are starting to show the 'big boys' how it should be done, greatasticulous achievement.
  25. Good to see a bit of respect coming Bayners way, the guy works very hard every game, often without reward and often with mucho criticism, so get it right up yer jacksie, oh ye of little faith. :016: :clapping04:
