  1. Kerr is a very good 'young' player.
  2. Ayr play Arbroath this week subject to weather. We must get points against our two opponents before we play Hibs. If we do not we could be bottom again and a win against Hibs would not be great comfort.
  3. The Prodigal son may well offer a few other players to us ...........
  4. .....still to concede a goal this season in the Scottish Cup.....
  5. Makes some sense - no relocation costs - our experience with Welsh players has been positive so far.
  6. I think the club are preparing supporters for a poor performance on Saturday.... ' Matchday Info: Broomhill (H) | 20.01.2024 The ICT Sports Bar is open from 1pm on Friday. '
  7. Good to see Chris Hogg as Assistant Manager for Bristol City's win over West Ham last night.
  8. If we look back to the time of David Sutherland and George Fraser, it is clear there was strong leadership. Something seemed to happen close season this year and we have tended to assume Billy Dodds and Barry Wilson were the root causes of such a poor start.
  9. Following pressure for more bite in the ICT attack, here is a picture of the trialist from Kincraig Rovers.
  10. Playing superbly at present. Really nice guy. Well done to him.
  11. Sean is a really nice guy and was a tremendous captain. We probably started out looking for a fee but to help both Club and player move forward found there was no point. Zak did his best but with Carragher brought in it looked like a strengthening of our defence by replacing someone not quite up to our requirement. Given that Cillian has hardly played despite quite a few opportunities it will be interesting to see what role he plays tonight. He may be heading out too. It is not beyond the bounds of possibility that a few others might be loaned out or moved on. Three out so far - DW, SW and ZD. One in so far - JC.
  12. Lee Ashcroft also?
  13. Cannae complain at this loan signing. Billy was at Wigan for a while. Shaun Maloney is their current Manager.
  14. 'Wotherspoon, who will not feature for Inverness against United this Friday night due to a minor injury, has opted to return to Tayside.' The Dundee Courier
  15. A rational decision by Wotherspoon. Like many footballers reaching the end of their contracts the big question is what happens next if you fail to get another contract or retire and do not have alternative means. It was great watching him help us move off the bottom.
  16. At least some respite for the club today. Davie Carson certainly makes a difference and hopefully Sean is making progress too after a long spell of injuries. With the exception of the two loanees this was basically 9 players from last year's squad (until the two subs when we were 3-1 up). So hope the players start believing in themselves. Morton going like a train up this league.
  17. Queens Park winning last night increases the importance of Ayr getting a positive result too!!! If we lose there will be questions about the competence of the new management team.
  18. Of the three outstanding charges, this looks like it needs an update.... Assignation Satisfy chargeAssignation on the Companies House WebFiling service Created 25 January 1996 Delivered 1 February 1996 Status Outstanding Persons entitled Clydesdale Bank Public Limited Company Short particulars Proceeds of the sale of kingsmills park football ground…
  19. Our new style of play under Ferguson of not shooting during games does pose a risk that scoring becomes problematic.
  20. https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/football/dundee-united/4852834/david-wotherspoon-dundee-united-transfer-st-johnstone/ https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/football/dundee-united/4854556/duncan-ferguson-david-wotherspoon-dundee-united-transfer/ Probably safe to say he has played his last game for us. As a Dundee United player he could become a medal winner and be back in the SPFL next season. Fair to say he really helped us.
  21. On the basis that Wotherspoon is out for at least 10 days with his Hamstring injury - and does not extend his contract - a change of formation for Tuesday is good news. Hopefully Davie Carson starts. We need the ginger dynamo. Billy looked quite tired yesterday so this is Cillian's chance. Brooks might cover for Billy either partially or wholly. Sean for Nathan maybe. However, the relegation dog fight is brutal this year and the next three games could be very painful unless someone produces some magic as part of true team efforts.
  22. Hopefully take Morton very seriously next Saturday.
  23. We actually have a good squad compared to last year's very injury hit squad. We can but hope they are motivated by our new Management Duo and at least grab a point.
  24. Never underestimate the diddy team https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/67797185
