  1. It is sadness, they won't be so smug when they watch us destroy em
  2. Yeah :) We'll be able to tell you ****'s what its like when we gub you 5-0
  3. Why thank them??? You have the man who took us down  Granted, but he did far better a job than Brewster ever could, yes we got ourselves into a position where we could stay up, then blew it, but its better to have loved and lost and all that crap. We ended up losing by two goals goal difference, when with Brew it probably would have been set in stone 4-5 games ago.

    Imrie

Zactly, I think he'd do well in the SD1

    Refs

They're just bitter about the weather
  6. I agree with that, Blackies was atrocious

    Imrie

I must admit i do rate Imrie, I think he's got a lot of passion for the club, his shooting was woeful today, but honestly I like him as a player. I think we should keep on to him, his attitude is good, and i think he's got a fair bit of potential.
  8. I don't know about the rest of you, but I feel we owe a thousand thanks to Terry Butcher and Maurice Malpas for the jobs they did during their time here. I know we are down now, but they gave us a fighting chance where Brewster couldn't, motivated the players like Brewster couldn't, and gave us the sneaky results that Brewster couldn't. It may well have been too little to late to get them in, but I enjoyed being a Caley Fan again when they arrived. We may have been dead and buried long before today without them.
  9. :024: we'll be back, maybe not straight away, but SD1 football is cheaper, more fun, has more loyal fans, and (thank goodness) a team outside of Glasgow will win it. I'm utterly gutted at the moment, but im sure when next season kicks off that will all be forgotten!
  10. Highland Derbies :024: Can't wait, thats the one thing that is keeping me from jumping off the bridge.
  11. Bitter and twisted eh? Love all the grown up posts that appear at times of crisis almost always aimed at Brew, DOF, Board, MS or any other target that's fashionable at the time. Any success that the club ever achieved is never down to any contribution any of theses guy's ever made. Even though many of them have been there for a big part of the most successful period in the club's history. If you happened to be one of the "in crowd's" favourites like SP or JR, one of the player's who have achieved little since been let go but those who let go of them continually castigated, then u can do know wrong. Life is black and white. At the point of boredom with vitriholic (sp) dirge continuing to be targeted at people who do what they think is best and sometimes get it wrong. The way we live nowadays. I've enjoyed the past 5 years of top flight football and wouldn't have missed it for the world. Thanks to all who helped us get there and worked hard to try to keep us there. All of your efforts are appreciated. To the "divine right" brigade get back to the OF where you belong! Just one last point. It's not that long ago we were ninth in the league looking good thanks to the good work of TB, MM and the players. They got, from me included, all the credit they deserved. How does it then follow that the blame for the fall from there lies with a guy who didn't get the credit for the improvement since he left? Although I see your point, you have to realise its an understandable reaction. There's little doubt that while Brewster had his good moments, he was a trainwreck waiting to happen. There's also little doubt that his actions as manager this season relegated us. So as much as maybe these reactions are harsh, they are clearly understandable, and I personally echo the sentiments that he needed to have been sacked earlier.
  12. Wasn't even a Red, theres no way we were absolutely out of it because of the sending off. It was a lack of effort from players like Black that caused it.
  13. Hmmm im pessimistic about this one, brilliant player and i want him to stay so badly, but i just cant see it happening. A real shame if he does go
  14. Two handballs are fair game, definate penalties. The drogba one?? Ive seen them given, but theres a case for not being a pen. And the malouda one is utter bowlikes. He went down like a sack of spuds on relatively no contact. And with this is mind, Abidal got sent off for not even making contact with anelka. Its the boy who cried wolf, how many times have Chelsea dived for penalties? Drogba is the worst. Now Karma has struck and what went around came back around. That poor ref will be chastised for the rest of his career, when clearly a) he wasnt experienced enough to referee the game, and b ) his linesmen didn't help him in the slightest. The most important thing is, the best team won. Football won last night as well, as at least we wont have a final where one team puts all its men behind the ball. Chelsea played terrible football last night. So with this in mind, I hope Platini bullies Drogba and Ballack. And maybe even Terry as well. Because no matter how much you want to win, you are role models for the next generation of football players, and if we get a new generation growing up thinking its ok to abuse refs and dive around like olympians, our game is in peril indeed. These pathetic cheating morons need to be made an example of, for the sake of our game!
  15. Interested to who you had in mind? Steven George Gerrard, MBE (IPA: [ˈdʒɛrɑ]; born 30 May 1980) is an English footballer who plays for English Premier League club Liverpool F.C. and the England national team. He is usually employed in the central midfield role, although he has also played as a right-sided midfielder and a second striker. Mike I could go on & on & on about great footballers who could play in a variety of positions... Owen Hargreeves, Ruud Gullit, Frank Rikjard, Jari Litmanen, Luis Enrique, Carsten Ramelow, Franz Beckenbauer, Andreas Moller, Giovanni Van Bronkhorst, Dave Ghrol....... As much as i enjoyed the Grohl comment, you can't really count Litmanen as a legendary name :thumb04:
  16. Well that last statement sold it for me!!! Your line up wins!
  17. why do you always put players wildly out of position? Is it to encourage debate, or are you unfortunate enough to have received your education courtesy of Inverness High school? Whoah he's got a point, why the hell is Djebi-Zadi there, playing behind the strikers?
  18. Aye I second that, 12th man that was top notch!
  19. I hope they won't, I dont care if its not a British team, Barca arent a team full of cheats like the 'big two' are.
  20. Barca V Man U Final. And I for one hope Girlchester get beaten considerably. Cristiano Ronaldo crying... ohh its bliss...
  21. Come on Anyone? Gotta be harder than Imrie

    Esson

I've always rated Fraser, I really don't think he's a bad keeper, and it's a little harsh that he's not the regular, that said, I think Esson is better. I hope he hasn't had any arguments with Butcher, as he's a solid GK.
  23. Yeah i hope we get a good turnout, exams mean i can't go to any more games this season, but theres no excuse for those who dont live hundreds of miles away!
  24. I think you're right, lets face it, most things that have been successful recently, whether sport or not, have been on the back of huge debts. I hope at least one good thing to come out this wretched economic system crash is that at least the big money spinners may think twice about splashing out on wages and transfer fees. At least in a way this recession might cause the top teams to try and stop lavish spending, and maybe just maybe, (and i'm being overtly optimistic) our football might just go back to sort of the way it was.
