  1. I was away yesterday so missed coverage of the game, but the nature of the result and what has been said about the peformance shows that the players responded to Forans comments post-Hamilton, which is a real positive. Based on that, it appears he hasn't losses the dressing room as had been rumoured. it would be typical if we go on to take points against the big teams in our upcoming fixtures after our dreadful run against teams in the bottom 6. If we show a bit of bravery and play without fear we can get out of this rut.
  2. I've voted no, but another poor performance and result on the weekend and I see no other option but to let him go.
  3. Saturday's most certainly a must win, but we've been saying that about the last few games. If we perform the same as we have the last two games on the weekend then we definitely need to make a serious change somewhere, be it with Richie or Brain. Really mind boggling that players like Tansey and Draper, who have been magnificent for the club in the last few years, have been so below par. Same goes for Warren and Meekings, who were thought of as one of the best CB pairings in the league. We have leaders in the dressing room, like Draper and Warren, who really need to rally the troops, or relegation most certainly beckons.
  4. I wouldn't read much into him not scoring much down south. Adam Rooney also struggled to find the net in England and came back up to bang them in up here, and there's numerous other examples of failing down south before excelling up here. Hopefully him and Anier will gel.
  5. Get in! Had to pinch myself when I read this! Hopefully that'll give all the players a lift for tonight, whether Billy is playing or not, and we can turn our fortunes around.
  6. I think the "must win" quote is probably a ploy from Foran to try and rally the players. Potentially it could have the opposite effect if it results in players being more nervous than usual, as might have been the case today. If ever there was a must win game however, it's Tuesday's game at Hamilton. They've been very poor recently, probably more so than us judging by their result against St. J this afternoon. Sounded like we did OK in spells today, more so in the second half. At least Foran tried something different with the two upfront, and had the balls to change it before half time when it wasn't working. It sounds like our inability to create chances is largely down to a lack of confidence and players opting to play is safe rather than show a bit of creativity. A win could change all that. Let's hope we get a long overdue 3 points on Tuesday.
  7. O'Halloran would be a great signing, but sounds far too good to be true.
  8. Well on paper this is about as underwhelming as it gets, but we've found gems from lower leagues before so let's hope this is another one of them.
  9. Agree with the above, we need to make changes for the County game and I'll be extremely frustrated if we stay with the same squad that has been so hapless of late. Get Draper back in a defensive midfield role to tighten things up, play with natural wingers like Doran and King or Mulraney and get Polworth in an attacking midfield role. In a way this is a great time to be playing a derby match given are current predicament. Form often goes out the window in these games and I remember us hammering them in Dingwall last season when the odds were against us and they had just won the league cup. Let's hope tomorrow is a similar story!
  10. What a joke we have become, if we can't beat Motherwell at home what chance have we got. I've lost hope now. I watched us play Rangers the other day and to me it seemed the players didn't really have a clue what they were doing. Our terrible run can no longer be put down to bad luck, we're just not good enough.
  11. Praying for an Adidas kit next year
  12. Sounds like we were unlucky today and there were plenty positives. We're off the bottom of the league (for now) and have ended up losing streak, so not a totally unsuccessful day!
  13. Hopefully injuries won't hinder us too much today. If it is the case that we have several players out, we need to use this to try and give us that underdog, backs against the wall mentality. In a way there will be less pressure if we have a weakened squad and the odds are against us, hopefully we can use that to our advantage.
  14. Terrible result. I could accept a defeat there but sounds like they cruised it. We shouldn't panic yet by any means but Richie needs to change something as we can't keep shipping so many goals. I'm all for attacking football but there needs to be some balance.
  15. FS, we get a man sent off and straight away Partick equalise at Hamilton. Looks like we'll finish the day bottom of the league. Not the first time Warren has shown poor discipline this season.
  16. No shame in that defeat, the Tansey red card killed us. Certainly showed plenty of grit and defended brilliantly at times against what was an extremely attacking Celtic line up. Shame to have Tansey missing for the Dons game, but if we drop Draper into a holding midfield role and put Polworth ahead of him then we'll be OK. Let's hope Doran and Tremarco are back by then!
  17. Solid first half. Richie has the lads well organised, pressing well and stopping Celtic from playing. We've rode our luck with of couple of their chances but have defended very well so far. For all the chat about Vigurs not working hard enough, he must have covered a lot of ground that half, constantly getting in the face of the opposition. Just need to show a little more quality going forward, but so far so good.
  18. Big blow with Doran missing out, but King Billy is an able replacement.
  19. Good result, and 5 points from our last 9 is not a bad return at all. Also, we've lost 1 of the last 9 games, which is outstanding considering our poor start to the season. Listening to the commentary it sounds like Hearts could have nicked it close to the end, so I'm happy with a draw. Good to hear Doumbouya is improving, some glowing reports from commentators on BBC Scotland. All in all, 12 league games into his managerial career and Foran has made a very promising start.
  20. Doumbouya might be another Ofere, looks useless for 85 minutes but pops up when it matters.
  21. No Draper? Craziness! Arguably the first name on the team sheet. Tansey and Polworth in the middle, Drapes no 10, Doran and King on the wings and Fisher up top. I really like Mulraney but with his pace and trickery he's a nightmare for defenders if you bring him on in the second half rather than from the start.
  22. Predictable that we were expected to win and didn't. Kilmarnock have shown they're no mugs with the win against St. J last week, so all in all it's not a terrible result. One thing we're certainly showing this season is strength of character and fitness, lots of late goals in our favour, which is in contrast to last season! Still find it strange that Polworth is starting out wide. Doran should surely be starting with King or Mulraney on the other wing. Nice to see Dumbouya getting on the score sheet after his pretty absymal performance last week. Looking forward to hearing reports from those at the game.
  23. Certainly don't see his as a winger. He's not particularly fast and not particularly tricky. I see him as having all the right attributes to be a good CM or playing behind the striker. He can find a pass and has the ability to open up defenses, as well as having a good strike on him. I don't think we should be playing Vigurs, Tansey, Draper and Polly all at the same time, that's 4 natural CM's in the team at once!
