This may not work.
  2. No can’t play on either. I do an Elvis (used to say that to the kids 40 years ago when we would watch a tape on the VHS “ do an ELVIS ” what’s that dad “ — PRESS PLAY I get 1/2 second then it cuts off. Must be me. by the way your report cleared up my bookings query. You get six same as bbc. It seemed every tackle was a yellow the guy was flashing so many cards.
  3. Couldn’t play the goal above so went to YouTube to look for yesterdays game. i must have fell asleep and missed a few goals.
  4. Ocg we don’t usually agree on here, but today is maybe a first, I agree with you. went on the bbc text for yesterdays game and they show 6 bookings. Seemed like more than that to me. ps….feel free to insert your regular face palm.
  5. What about the goalkeeper getting lobbed from near the half way line at Hamilton and spilling a shot he should have easily dealt with that killed the tie stone dead at home.
  6. Penny just dropped for me, you obviously weren’t at any of the games I highlighted hence you call everything between Ferguson first game and today dross.
  7. Yes. But the games I highlighted were great days out and certainly not dross.
  8. Not all dross in between……. 4-1 win at Hampden QP great day out, draw at tannadice twice 1-1, wins away to Ayr and Morton, Alex Samuel hat trick at raith win 3-2 certainly not dross, wins home to Ayr and Morton decent watch. 3-3 draw with partick looking back at scores, apart from a 2-0 defeat to airdrie all the losses were by a single goal. maybe some games were hard watches but dross? It’s maybe me though not being a Dunc hater and only seeing the good.
  9. Disgusted today by a couple of so called fans in the north stand loudly booing young Ferguson when he came on. What has he done to deserve this? if I hadn’t bought season tickets I would seriously be thinking about giving games a miss. The players are giving their all for the club and the manager, wonder what they think about fans booing a team mate.
  10. Wow, thought you had a scoop for us, but no just your thoughts on dunc. Is he claiming back this also do you think.....
  11. You can’t leave me dangling when I am heading to Glasgow. Enlighten me please.
  12. As is the criticism of a manager working for free. Not a bad result/ performance against a championship team, 3rd in the league, with a game in hand that a win would take them to second and firm favourites for promotion. livi second goal was a big error for us when Duffy was either bullied too easily, ducked out of the headed clearance or got a shout to leave the ball, Dunc fault of course. anyway off now to Hampden to watch Portugal. kids are excited to be watching CR 07 live, hope he plays.
  13. Sounds great, do you have a manager in mind that is going to do the job for free.
  14. Yes and at the time good players they were too. Mike Teasdale galloping up the right side. But why would players from these areas now want the hassle of driving past Cove, Peterhead or Elgin when they can train and play locally for a team in the same league as us. Maybe even on more money. Just a thought.
  15. CC mentioned an 8-8-8 squad (8 academy, 8 pro’s, 8 HL) getting highland league players as we were successful doing it before. Players like Russel Duncan, Roy macbain, tokely etc back then there was only caley thistle and Ross county and we were full time (1997 on) , now there is Peterhead (2000), cove (2019) , Elgin (2000) dipping into the same pot. The better players will be in Aberdeen / Dundee area so these new teams will be more attractive to HL players due to less travel if we are part time. If full time can we afford the cost of relocating them to Inverness, definitely not. We have tried it in recent years but players made more money working a normal day job and playing football part time. (Bavidge, megginson wouldn’t sign making more £££ working and playing part time) If we do go part time would players want to work 8-5 then travel 2 nights a week to Inverness for training ( if they train where they are does that become the kelty model) then away every Saturday, every week.? russel Duncan, Roy macbain Ross tokely were full time living in the area. Google says we went full time 1997 so from 1994 players must have travelled to training or trained where they lived I can’t remember. 10 highland league teams east of Elgin.
  16. Oops don’t know what happened there Sorry moog, If going to one stand you mean the main stand I assume you are going to put the existing north stand fans in the non covered side, no thanks. Where we are in the north stand we get no rain and as long as I am clothed correctly for winter I am roastie toastie there. Couldn’t imagine sitting in the uncovered stand being battered by wind , rain and snow. especially when they remove my winter fuel payment I wouldn’t be able to thaw out at home. ( joking, give it to those who need it)
  17. I am not clever enough for all this, hope you guys/girls have tickets for the meeting. Get stuck in tae them.
  18. Off topic, As a youngster back in the 70’s, at Telford street one Saturday watched the first half end 0-0 . Boring, yes even back then. you got in for nothing second half so decided to walk down to grant street. In the ground asked a guy what the score was, 4-3 to clach was the answer. No more goals finished that score. next day saw the Caley score, they won 4-3. FFS 14 goals and never saw one of them. those days at kingsmills there was an exodus at half time, people heading over to the heathmount or Corrie for a half time pint. ( I was too young) a mate told me a few years ago thistle v Brora. He went over at half time and the guy next to him ordered a pint in his full Brora kit, muddy boots. Didn’t bother him as he had a great 2nd half. Won’t mention his name. with the shenanigans going on at clach park at half time, a drunk trying to beat a greyhound (may have been a whippet) getting a halfway start, ( he only got to the 18 yd box when the dog passed him), a streaker running the length of the pitch in wellies with old George Rodgers on the tannoy saying “we know who you are” the glory days of football in Inverness. if only they could bring that back today as half time entertainment.
  19. Thanks for the reply. The question was what tactics would YOU suggest. Not seeing that answer anywhere. Are you a politician by any chance.
  20. That's us down to the playoff position! When will donut Ferguson realise it's his tactics that are failing. Jeez this is getting worse. I can see you are annoyed but how does missing chances, hitting the post twice, losing a goal, losing the game fall on the manager. we got in a striker, who hit the post 2nd half , it's down to the players when they cross the line. Are some of them good enough for league 1 level? 55 to 45 possession to us. 11 shots to 4 to us. 3 on target to their 2. Bit of a clue there what tactics would you suggest. We can’t counter attack we have no pace in the team. We get up to the full backs and no one can go past them to the bye line. go to Dodds ball, hoof ball I think most would agree he is playing his strongest 11 available every week.
  21. Who is running the club just now. Morrison chucked it weeks ago. panos ( predictive text comes up as pants) has done the same this evening, morrison reintroduces makwana and savage..... Savage, speaking exclusively to the Press and Journal, revealed Makwana is back in talks with the club. Savage said: “Ross Morrison on Tuesday has reintroduced Ketan Makwana to the process. “He suggested that Panos contacted him, which he did. The board are now in the process of asking the lawyers for proof of funds as the first hurdle. Proper due diligence will follow. Scott Young will be dealing with that.”
  22. You should have stopped at the bit never played the game. I travelled through the night a couple of weeks ago from inverness to Glasgow airport. It took me 3 hours 45 due to a quick pit stop at broxden and road works at Kingussie. Still have to add on airport to Ayr time. Back in the day I played a wee bit. We would get a mini bus from inverness to county, or to Elgin. Against clach or jags wasn't a problem. The fist 2 we would be out on the park half hour before the game getting the bus out of our legs. Then stretching in the dressing room. Ah the good old days always playing under the lights.
  23. You have obviously never played the game. Try sitting on a bus to say Ayr, for over 4 hours and then play. When we were in the top league most of the away teams stayed in the kingmills the night before. I play golf and our 10th green is a couple of yards from the hotel. I have spoken to jim Goodwin on the Saturday when the players go out to stretch their legs. Dunfermline players standing across the burn watching us putt. Celtic coaches and players walking past the tee. Etc, etc Why is it an unnecessary expense when dunc payed for it.
  24. Well done Dunc. Not the first time. When we were getting to the business end of last season the club couldn’t afford overnight accommodation for the team on an away game. guess who paid for it out of his own pocket.
