The Fifers avoided relegation to League One late on, in part thanks to the 15-point deduction suffered by Hamilton Accies. Chalmers made three appearances after the arrival of Neil Lennon as manager for the final seven matches. The pair had worked together previously at Celtic. However, after 30 outings across the season – and 125 during his three and a half years at the club – he was not offered a new contract. The experienced play-maker’s availability has alerted rival clubs in the Championship. But it is understood Caley Thistle have held talks with the former Motherwell and Ayr United player and made clear their interest. Chalmers could team up with ex-Par He previously spent two seasons with Inverness after joining in the summer of 2017 and racked up 96 appearances before departing for Premiership football with Highland rivals Ross County. It was the first professional move for the keeper, who had only played for East of Scotland outfit Whitehill Welfare and Lowland League side Bo’ness United before impressing on trial in the Highlands. Inverness looked on course to be agreeing terms with Dibaga last month, but the fans’ player of the season was soon on the move. Seeing pre season games listed, wow. Thursday 12/6 is my last game of the 24/25 season. Heading to Aberdeen, Spain park, home of banks o Dee to watch grandson play in Scottish schools plate final Dingwall academy v Duncanrig secondary. man, it’s been a long sport season but it’s better than falling asleep most afternoons as people of my age usually do.😴

DEFINITELY not complaining about the prices but I wonder if the renewal date may be incorrect what about the prices. I sit in north stand so……. adult EB 260, full price 275= -15 5% discount 18-21 EB 150, full price 150= -0 0% discount U18. EB 90, full price 100= -10 10% discount 65 +. EB 172, full price 224=-52 23% discount A whopping £52 23% discount for old timers, eg me. I am sure there is a reason for the different percentages but this takes away some of the hurt of losing my winter fuel payment last year. Only joking of course.😀

The past 4 seasons I have been a regular at Dingwall when ict playing away. I know, don’t shoot the messenger. Any time I have seen Logan he was helping out pre match warm up. Half way line catching practice kick outs from gk or in the small nets warming up the strikers. he has been on bench last few games to amissah as laidlaw out injured I think. stats show he has played once for county in a challenge cup game. AS said in his interview yesterday that our team will be made up of players from our academy, highland league, Scottish players and a couple of MARQUEE players. so maybe he ticks all the boxes and we will only need one more marquee player.😉

We know how much playing Premiership football matters to our community, and we share their deep frustration at how the season concluded. As you might imagine, we have done a lot of soul searching at the club over the last week, and following that, have decided to restructure our football management team under Don Cowie as we make gaining immediate promotion our sole focus. We believe strongly that we have a dedicated and talented manager in Don and that he is the right man to lead us for the season ahead. To support Don, we have appointed the experienced John Robertson as assistant manager with immediate effect. Carl Tremarco and Paul Cowie will leave the club, and we thank them for their efforts and wish them well for the future. John has more than 400 games under his belt as a manager, knows the challenge of recruiting from our base in the Highlands, has experience of the Scottish Championship, and has worked with Don in the past. He already knows the club well and has spent much of last season watching from the sidelines in his role as a BBC pundit. "Everyone at the club is determined to put us in the best position possible to gain promotion back into the Premiership - and to do so within a season. Bringing John in to support Don, will allow us to reshape the playing squad and turn things around as quickly as possible” said Chief Executive Officer Steven Ferguson

Taking about livi. Heading south tomorrow with 2 grandsons who are playing in RC U 14/ U 11 final games of the season. its another 2 x RC v Livingston battles. u14 play on the main Toni macaroni pitch and the u11 play at st Margaret’s academy a couple of minutes away. I am on u11 duty I think. daughter told me it was pretty gruesome fixture last year. Livi played players down eg at least a year older boys. They were throwing the county boys to the ground then stamping on them encouraged all the way by the parents watching. Might come home tomorrow with the same view as you have. Got some antiseptic wipes but will leg it if anyone near me starts clearing their throat.

What about hiding behind 4 grandkids, would that work. 😀. Don’t mention this when we have our HT chats this season, it is just ….

BC, not sure Roy from InverGordon has plans to reduce his involvement. invergordon fc to have their ground updated, get into the highland league and be used as a feeder club playing RC academy players. Ground The club's original ground was the old "Blackpark" (now part of Invergordon Distillery), before they moved to their current playing field at the town's Recreation Grounds. In January 2025, the club applied for planning permission to upgrade the ground, including building a stand, floodlights, dugouts and a fence.[4] Your point regarding competition for fans………… is it time for another merger ??? Well done BC. they are going to Belfast for the Northern Ireland super cup. Each kid costs about £800 for the trip with parents (granda chipping in also) paying £250 and the rest fundraising. my grandson was in last years u 13 team and had a great time. They have several levels of competition, top teams represented, Celtic, Man Utd, spurs, Bournemouth , Leeds Utd etc. even a team from Chicago. Grandson was away last week in Madrid with Dingwall academy. They played games and had stadium visits at both madrid grounds as well as taking in the atletico madrid v real sociedad game, which was 4-0. i remember back in the early seventies a trip with the Inverness high school footie team was to Forres, Elgin and Banff on a Saturday, where sometimes they would open the school canteen and serve us pie, beans and chips. My, how times have changed.

Hope it's not scenario 2 for the travelling support. Worst one I have seen was aberdeen v hearts , long ago and nothing to play for. The work organised a north of Scotland 5 a side tournament in Aberdeen. We, inverness, put in 1 team but aberdeen diluted their team of current highland league players and entered 5 teams. The prize was hospitality at Pittodrie. We won with ease. We were met off the train, told we could have 1 pre match drink, cup of tea at HT and one drink after game, and then back to train. After the first drink one of the boys went up to buy a round, to be told by the bar man that the hospitality was all day to 18.30. Well that started it.... I wasn't drinking as was the goalie. So 6 guys remained in the bar while we 2 watched the game. One even ventured up to our box with 5 mins to go to ask what the score was. At the final whistle I went to bar to see our guys p1ssed as farts arm wrestling at the table. At 17.15 the shutters went down it was getting so rowdy. We heard on the Monday that the guy who met us at the train station was up in front of the bosses as it was the biggest hospitality bar bill ever the company had to pay. Ps.... I scored 20 odd goals and got player of the tournament trophy. Only saying. The train on the way home was worse, after 1 of our guys karate chopped the ariel off the taxi he was in. Great days though.

He blessed me with his presence last week at half time when he came over and we had an intelligent conversation on the 1st half v arbroath. 🤔 Must admit I was wondering why he shaved off the beard. Looks like you nailed it bc.
