  1. Breaking news.... north east man feared drowned at sea, found safe across the road from gayfield in Tutties neuk inn drowning his sorrows after his team were all at sea in titanic arbroath defeat. Listening to Celine singing to AS.......... "Your here, there's nothing I fear...." Full steam ahead to safety.
  2. Went on eBay and searched for dvd “ A night to remember”. This came up !
  3. A clue is the players lined up around the centre circle and the whole ground showing their respect by clapping. No excuse.
  4. Sounds like Scott bought the QOS managers book “interviewed when you have lost”. Speaking to fellow supporters at half time and the end, Arbroath were bigger, stronger, faster and better than us on the day, accept it and move on to next week. their wee no. 14, with the long hair, top and shorts that looked too big for him ran the show and was rightly named mom. Arbroath had a minutes applause for 3 ex players who died this week. A few seconds into it a small amount of our supporters started beating the drum and chanting. Show some respect boys. all the fans in my view, clapped for the full 60 seconds.
  5. Should be 4-0 down, they are solid at the back and compared to us are lightning fast on the break. We had a fair bit of possession but side ways and backwards. Here's hoping kellacher has a plan B for the second half.
  6. No game at County this Saturday so on Thursday thought i would go to arbroath for first away game this season. Was faffing about trying to get a ticket on the arbroath website but everything was greyed out on the away stand. Then got a phone call from my daughter saying my 9 year old grandson was in the county u11 team to play dunfermline away. So heading there instead. This morning told he has the bug that is going round the schools so dunfermline now a no go. Purchased an away terrace ticket thinking that was all that was open for away fans. I see in the preview the stand is now open. Donnie, if only you did your preview this morning. But not to worry, the terracing is a quid cheaper. That's 50p I owe you.
  7. Was trying to google administration, but too nice a day here so heading to the golf. Got this far….. If you do go into administration you may lose some players for fees far smaller than normal as the administrators try to get you out of debt. maybe the admin people would not allow a pre contract as they want any cash the pars would pay now to help reduce the debt.?
  8. Dunfermline won’t see themselves as a bottom half championship side, as we don’t see ourselves as a league 1 team, hence the sacking of mcpake on 23rd December and putting tidser from kelty in charge 17th January. He has obviously come across bray a couple of times this season, likes what he has seen, but not enough to make him a squad player just now, hence we keep him to the end of the season. interested to hear kellacher take on the move, some managers are not keen on playing players who have signed pre contracts to leave for another club. i know this isn’t pre contract but the player is in the same situation, seeing out the season. anyway hope it works out well for the lad.
  9. Googled it. Yes a player in scotland loaned to another club can be recalled by the parent club, provided the loan agreement includes a "recall clause" which allows them to do so; this is a standard feature in most loan deals and operates similarly to other leagues across Europe. Key points about loan recalls in Scottish football: Contractual clause: The ability to recall a player depends entirely on the specific terms of the loan agreement between the clubs. Timing restrictions: While a player can be recalled at any time during the loan period if the recall clause is activated, there may be specific windows within the season where it is more feasible to do so, depending on league regulations. Negotiation needed: Even if a recall clause exists, the parent club may need to negotiate with the loan club to finalize the recall, especially if the loaned player is performing well for their temporary team. Transfer window does not close in scotland until 23.00 pm on Monday 3rd of February
  10. QOS bus on the way up should have turned right and headed to Edinburgh. Their sub defender wasn’t sent of because the ref was sh1te, it was for 2 rugby tackles that would have been applauded at Murrayfield.
  11. The other sides view by the manager. I always rated big tel for praising the other side if they beat us. Leave you guys and gals to decide this dudes take on the game. I couldn’t have been at the same game as him yesterday. That’s as polite as I can put it. lump the ball long. Yellow cards for non tackles. our goal was a miss hit, their chance the player hit it too good. Wow. should have stopped the interview when the lights went out.
  12. Came across this on YouTube. If posted already somewhere on the site sorry for the duplication.
  13. Remember like it was yesterday. My brother in law's work used to run a bus to scottish cup games back in the day. We stopped in Bannockburn for something to eat and drink on the way down. Few mins from parkhead we heard the game was off. It was discussed that maybe Clyde were at home and we could go watch that game. Decision was to head back to the Bannockburn pub. It turned out to be a great day. Celtic paid for our bus for the rearranged game. From getting out of the stadium to Perth that night my old man and I hardly uttered a word to each other, we were both in awe of the fact we had pumped celtic. A quarter of a century later it is me now the old dude going with kids to the games. Time just keeps rolling on.
  14. Well done eagle, big respect, some journey. I was planning going on the supporters bus that would have taken me direct to the ground. Chickened out big style. You had a fair bit of hopping on and off to get there. 110 miles more than from Inverness. And being an old dude I had no office to have to go to the next day. your next game is an even greater distance, 258 miles more from London than Inverness. i was planning the Alloa game next week until my daughter called me today saying I got you and the boys tickets for the county v Hibs match. What’s a granddad supposed to do. ( lame excuse )
  15. Robert, he must have played him at least once…. saturday 31/8/24 ICT 1-0 QOS scorer B McKay 19 mins assist A Brooks . Manager D Ferguson. anyhoo here is his take on last nights game.
  16. I stand corrected. crikey it was only a couple of weeks ago and I was there. Memory is going or was it a post in haste as I was cooking the tea at the same time. I think.
  17. Excellent win today, our first win under kellacher by more than a goal? 19 Shots 6 on target brings it to 31%. anyway who cares about stats, a win on Tuesday at QOS and we will be 1 point behind Annan. Ignore them and make Montrose our new target? edit, while I was typing few more were saying more or less what I have said re QOS game. Sorry for that.
  18. Probably boring people with this, but……. Saturday January 25th Arbroath v kelty 17.30 KO. assume that is game 8 of 12 bbc alba televised games this season. 3 times now for Arbroath and kelty 2nd time. ict and Dumbarton still zero.
  19. Excellent, bavidge and bray hit target, up from 18% to 31% in 4 mins
  20. Just looked at bbc stats. Possession to half time, 28% to our 72%. 11 shots 2 on target. That's 18%, hope that improves 2nd half. Happy to be winning though.
  21. Yes, I got drawn with him a couple of times in the Saturday medal at IGC. was known as Jambo back then. Heathmount hotel springs to mind.
