  1. You are right jagster but the club did not have the money to pay him off as well as Hughes!
  2. That looks like Mario Bernardie's Renault 30 on the left of the photo he must have kept the wardens sweet as it was always there!
  3. I would say yes after looking at the old photos the only decent old building was kept and re-located in Falcon Square and the building is a vast improvement on the ones on Bridge Street and the riverside including the Caley Hotel.
  4. I think that's our problem Richie is stuck with an assistant that was not his choice but we are stuck with him.
  5. How things have changed for the better in the 'Construction of retaining wall at bottom of Crown Road' no safety barriers around the site with machines operating! Top left in first floor looks like there are two customers in M & S already

  11. I will not name all the cars but to the 6th from the left beside the Mini is a Wolseley Hornet the Mini with a boot more chrome and a wooden dash, there was also a Riley Elf with the same body but no MG. Not many Range Rovers on the road then!
  12. A good photo of the old Eastgate Hotel, likely the last we will see of it! The white Simca van has appeared in a few photos on here.

I remember the bonded warehouse when they were pouring drink down the gully's in the street under supervision of the customs but I can't remember the story behind it, IHE might though My wife's grandparent's house on Crown Avenue is in the last picture directly above the Albert Hotel, the one on the right would have been demolished not long after this photo was taken leaving the other two houses which is now the Crown Medical Practice.

  18. When you see the first picture there was a lot of old buildings that were badly in need of demolition! Don't know about HIL-CHIB but the SAI was easy enough Who had the Carpet Discount Centre?
  19. I was disappointed when I herd the draw but after a bit of thought and as others have said the club will make a lot of money out of this tie and we always raise our game against Celtic

    I might be wrong but was it not Hughes that wanted Boden and the deal was done before Richie was appointed Manager.
