  1. The old Loch Ness House Hotel, which is now the Premier Inn at Torvean, at least they kept the main part of the old building at the front!
  2. That one is looking across Thornbush Road from Anderson Street, I think it was an old mill which was demolished and now the Plum Centre, I am not sure if the building on the right is still there but I think it is now an open yard.
  3. A Ford Consul followed by a Standard Vanguard both from the 50's and behind an AEC Mantador which would have been ex army or RAF and yes Scarlet it is the Culcabock crossroads looking east , the two houses are still there with another in between! Looks as the water is running down from Culcabock Avenue on the right in the days before Kingswell Filling Station.
  4. Any names for the guys on the Kessock bridge that would have been 1980-1982? Although I cant see his face the one with the helmet might be Brian Willingham from Hartlepool.
  5. When I was a boy in the 60's and first seen the Macbraynes buses they were that colour but not got a clue where it came from but I don't think it has anything to do with the Highland Rugby Club but CB might know different. I liked the colour red, cream and green and also liked the highlander with the shield and sword on the side.
  6. The open all mic's was the usual rubbish yesterday and as for the highlights not even 2 minutes just a disgrace!
  7. I am sure most teams would not want a draw away to Inverness!
  8. Yes a lot better than what we have now, the building that is not the horse & carts
  9. The best parts of the old town seem to have been demolished in the 60s, I am sure the buildings could and should have been renovated!
  10. Great through to the next round
  11. I initially thought that was Station Square but didn't recognize the building on the right. After what Charles said I had another look and realized he is right on looking closer you can see the Railways War Memorial which is still there on the wall above the old Austin Taxi. Looking at the Taxi Office it looks like there was a lane between the two buildings.
  12. Even Chick Young has to praise ICT today! Hope they can get another goal to seal a win.
  13. The Clansman, it has not changed that much over the years.
  14. A lot of open space at the prison on the bottom right! Church Street seems very wide at the north end where you can see old buildings where the telephone exchange is now. Note the very large roofs on the St Columba, Free North and Old High churches.
  15. That is the Kiosk at Kilmuir on the Black Isle, BT removed the payphone a couple of years ago but the locals would not let them take the kiosk away, it was bought by the community for £1 and they have to upkeep it.
  16. Which was the one that Grasser stayed in?
  17. Kingsmills Care Home and 9 large houses.
  18. The Fort Augustus pier station was the end of the line coming north where the passengers and mail transferred to the SS Gondolier and sailed up Loch Ness. The last of the old buildings at the main station in Fort Augustus were demolished about 1966 to make way for the new school.
