  1. Which was the one that Grasser stayed in?
  2. Kingsmills Care Home and 9 large houses.
  3. The Fort Augustus pier station was the end of the line coming north where the passengers and mail transferred to the SS Gondolier and sailed up Loch Ness. The last of the old buildings at the main station in Fort Augustus were demolished about 1966 to make way for the new school.
  4. I think that was the popular one before Skol, was no competition for Tenants!
  5. That looks like the North side of Bridge Street in 1959 or later (because there is a Mini in the shot - eat your heart out IBM ) with McManus's bike shop in the centre. The edge of the Gelluns is, I think, to be seem on the right hand margin. In between is the Record Rendezvous before it moved to what replaced the Northern meeting Rooms in Church St. You are getting better Charles! What size of engine did that one have?
  6. It was never like that in the Caley just the floor swimming in drink!
  7. Was the jags pitch not always like that?
  8. Good pictures Tichy! The first 2 show the old ramp at Macrae & Dicks from different sides, I have seen the one of the Albion double decker before with the tin garage behind which was Macrae & Dick's as well. The minister beside the Bedford j series bus looks happy, note the Bedford Dormobile Black Maria parked outside the police station, anyone going to admit to being in the back of one of them? Did anyone have a Honda 50 like the one beside the red & blue Highland AEC?
  9. My guess would be the Eastgate Hotel but Charles might know beter, he is older than me
  10. The Leyland Bus is that the clippie standing at the rear? The car is a Vauxhall 10/4, is that the Empire behind the bus with the old SMT garage to the rear?

    THE DANCING

Missed this one, Morris Six, the next I don't know but note it has a foreign registration with a Vauxhall ( may be a Victor) tucked in behind.
  12. Think it is Eastgate looking towards High Street with the only shop I recognize Riggs the butcher on the right. Mk 1 Ford Cortina, Mini, Mini? Austin A40 van I think, going other way Ford Popular or Prefect I think and Bedford Dormobile.
  13. The south side of High Street with the only building still standing is on the left, might be Lipton grocer.
