  1. Derek Adams will be lucky if he gets a job as Santa Clause this Christmas
  2. Thanks Tob, took a long time watching that!
  3. Well worth going out on a cold night for that great performance from all
  4. Yes Charles it was closed from 1917-1919, the Muirtown Basin would have been a lot more active at that time. I wonder if the Americans managed to get a dram might be why there was the odd episode of bother!
  5. Crackers indeed IHE. In the first one the only buildings still standing are the large white one beside the canal on the north side of Telford Street and the two large houses Pine Lodge (I think) on the corner of Cameron Road and Telford Street and the one next to it towards the town center. The two cottages to the left of the old Glen Albyn distillery on Carse Road were demolished when the COOP supermarket was built. The two distilleries Glen Alby & Glen Mhor were demolished in the eighties. The Glen Albyn was used as an American Naval base during WW1. I note on the picture the rail track which must have run along the canal side to the main line at Clachnaharry. Just got me thinking, where did the distilleries get their water supply from? I remember the old (smelly) burn that run down by Carse Farm which took the effluent away from the distillery.
  6. 40 mins walk from Milton of Leys to Bught park! How fast do you walk!? The Bught park idea would be a total nonstarter. The roads at the river side are far too narrow and slow moving. There would be gridlock on the other side coming through town. Would be a disaster. 40 mins-it is all downhill, 2 hours to walk home!
  7. At least we are still in it, hope we get a good win on Tuesday night.
  8. I think they are Scarlet although I have not bought the Sunday Post for years as it was not only the Broons & Oor Wullie stories that were recycled others were a well. Remember most would start with A Sunday Post Man overheard.................... It was good as a youngster though! It was launched 100 years ago to report on the war and continued on from then although it changed over the years.
  9. There is a Ross County supporter stays across the road from me but he does not go to games so that is 699.
  10. Lets get real the club don't own the stadium and with the crowds we are getting and little money coming in how are we going to buy another site like the Longman Campus which is a prime business site? The fans are reducing in numbers at all SPL clubs that says it all! People will give any excuse for not going like the location, car park and to cold, FFS it is Scotland you are and if you are sitting for an hour and a half you will be cold. Most people now would rather sit in a bar or at home and watch football on TV. Rant over.
  11. On the crowds Dougal it would help if people like yourself came to support the team more often not just every couple of months and then post negative comments!
  12. IBM

    Oh Well!

Oh deer! Glad he was ok it certainly did not affect his performance today, man of the match.
  13. It has all been said in previous posts, well done to all for another good performance and great result
  14. Should you not be ICTABERDONIAN? Joking aside I would agree with you in the current climate. I don't have a problem buying my season ticket for the North Stand but there are many supporters who I am sure work hard only on the minimum wage paying rent and bills who cant afford to go to all the league games. I hope they take up the offers that the club are doing for some games.
  15. I hope he can turn things around for his sake as he was brilliant for ICT!
  16. He has been excellent for ICT we can only wish him all the best in his future career where ever that may be.
  17. Very true Alex, it is not to late!
  18. The driver of the car was in the north stand again yesterday but no car, did he forget it or did Ness Motors not provide it as they paid out last time?
  19. The trick is to give them out when they're required, not when your quotas (external or self-imposed) need the numbers. I seriously believed yesterday that he'd left his cards in the dressing room in the first half, and was just too embarrassed to admit it.
