They definitely do have covers because we used to borrow them occasionally before we got ours. In saying that, unless they have got new ones, the old ones no longer fit as they widened the pitch in the summer....but ours would fit and they know they can borrow them from us if needed. However, as I said above, from talking to one or two people it seems covering the pitch would make no difference due to the nature of the issue. They may have had them in the past. They don't have them now. Stolen to make tents for errr.. gyp...tink... travelling folk?

Just heard on MFR pitch inspection at the little global stadium tomorrow(tues) reckon its the heavy rain and as stated above, flooded water table.

Hope this rain eases up otherwise game will be in doubt!!

Charles, re the question of names and connections, Bianco Turriani ran the sweet shop on Church Street, His brother Henry ran the cafe opposite the AI welders offices in Academy st, His two sons Michael and Alex, and Henry's son Renato still live in Inverness. Bianco's shop was a wonder of confectionary of which the quality was never seen in Inverness till the Belgian chap Lucas opened the chocolate shop in the market. Mario Bernardi ran the shops in old eastgate then at the bottom of stephens brae, Bernardi's brother also ran a hairdressers in Academy street just past the market entrance. The Serafini's ran the Locarno cafe, their son Sergio still lives in Inverness, they also ran the cafe/carry out on harbour road/Burnett road junction.

Just heard that County's game with Hearts has been postponed, after getting the all clear at 1.45 it gets called off at 2.10pm. Thought the pitch was supposed to have lots of work to prevent this from happening? unless of course it was a monsoon!

Bad luck for wee Shinnie to catch Teale on one of his good days, he struggled in defence but was again good going forward, but we have lost a few goals from that left back area. When Gillet was at the club Shinnie never got a look in, i think we neeed cover for LB to make some comp for that place.

Dont know about that... looked a wee bit out of position for Imrie's goal on saturday, he left his left wide open if you check the replays, dont know if Ryan would have got it mind...
