  1. What it means is that I'm still jet lagged and should probably lay off the booze and go to bed. I definately meant Dundee and I definately meant the 28th. I blame Scotty somehow.
  2. Ok....I'm going to be a little self indulgent here and I hope Scotty and the mods allow me a bit of slack. I'm going to be in Inverness for this game. My first EVER opportunity to see ICT in action live. So.....with that in mind I'm looking for people to drink with at the Innes before (and probably after the game) as well as advice on a place to stay. Sign up below (comments on accomodation are welcome too).
  3. I'm going to be there....surely there's some draw to meet one of the Canadian ICT fans?
  4. Alright....I'm confirmed and I will be at this game. I'm coming from Edinburgh and I'll find my way...just give me an approximate time.
  5. TFC is the moniker I've been using for the last year or so.
  6. Maybe....but we really have very little to cheer for as far as Canadian football goes. Vancouver would make the most sense despite my personal preferance of seeing TFC play ICT
  7. Let's go TFC!!!! /ontopic
  8. Hopefully it would be a team from Canada, 4 times vs RC already this season. It would be very interesting too. You won't get a team from Canada before September. MLS and USL are both in full swing so that would tie up Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.

Season opener is on a day off for me so I may have to make it along if I can figure out how I'll get to Dunfermline from Edinburgh.
  10. The 28th vs. Dundee Utd looks promising to be my first ICT game in person.
  11. Oh well, 2nd place, but we've won promotion to League 2 anyway. Little help here...we're almost to the Championship.
  12. Alrighty...I've just paid up too.
  13. I'd go back in again.
  14. To some extent, it's because it's the only good time to play the pipes outside. They are very sensitive to moisture and cold. Now why everyone seem to like them in the Christmas parades in Canada is a right head scratcher. We hate to play them, we know we sound terrible, but those are the bread and butter pay events so you do what you have to. Strange that a bit of drizzle or rain in the summer does not stop bands here. I didn't say you couldn't play them.....I said that it makes them sound poor (or poorer for you). :)

  16. What utter bo**ocks. Pipe bands are not a teuchter thing. They are world wide. Maybe you need to get out of Dalneigh and see a bit of the world. Some of the most successful pipe bands of the last thirty or so years have been Glasgow Police Pipeband, Field Marshall Montgomery Pipeband (Ireland), Torphichen and Bathgate Pipeband, Toronto Police Pipeband. None of those are Highland bands. Indeed I dont think a Highland band has ever made grade 1. Bit of useless information..........there are more than three hundred bands in Canada. Anyway, to get back on topic. Should the choice of music not be something that everyone can enjoy. I resemble that remark! The pipe band I'm in turns 100 years old next year. We claim to be the oldest civilian pipe band in North America. And Alex...you forgot Simon Fraser University. Sorry me dear. Cant list them all though I do know there are quite a few grade 1 bands in NA You pipes or drums? Pipes. I'll be playing with a group called the "Canadian Massed Legion Pipe Band" this summer in Scotland.

Our WC qualifiers ran from last June through November. If you think you have trials and tribulations following Scotland, come follow the Canadian National team sometime. The only thing we have coming up is a friendly against Cyprus at the end of May and the Gold Cup this summer (July). .

Canada is not playing this weekend. Have no fear.
  20. Rangers up now. Can we call FT yet??
  21. Hamilton level now....kilmarnock 1 up Nice goal by Proctor.
  22. He was an international quality defender in his days though. Who know's, perhaps he can mould the misfits mentioned above into decent players although i wouldn't hold my breath :thumb04: Can I take a moment to point out that Dickie is an international quality defender having been capped 53 times for Canada now.
  23. John Carver with Mo Johnson as DoF?
  24. Perhaps the club should start making contact with the TFC FO and exchange notes I still think that ICT should make a trip over for a friendly.....
  25. Or....do it with economics an make them too expensive to get more than one or 2. Easy-peasy.
