missing a bridge and a castle
Ahhh...Gary's a good guy for a Jambo. Gives me someone to team up with when taking the **** with the Tims and Huns supporters. But back on track... The capo made a huge difference for us, but then again our problem has been coordinating the different groups in the South End. I know other teams use them in the MLS....Chicago would be a good example of what you're trying to do here....to get everyone up and on the same page. Stewards stand between the stands and the pitch (along with the police) and at the entrances up from the concession/concourse area. There are problems with them over reacting/under reacting in the stands here too....but for the most part everything is pretty cool You also forgot to note us holding beer

From my recollection....you were behind the flag Scotty. I'm right here:

Where Have AllThe Fans Gone ?
IMHO, it has to do with entertainment. Cost plays a role too. As budgets get tighter, people will start evaluating their entertainment quotient vs. how much they're spending for it. Novelty only takes you so far and if you're not providing value for the entertainment dollar, you won't keep people in the stands.

Tonights Internationals
A solid enough performance from Hastings as Canada drew 1-1 with Jamaica in a game they were expected to win. The Jamaican goal came from a corner and if anyone was to blame it was the keeper. RH had one dodgy moment in the first half when he completely missed a clearance and took a fresh air swipe but other than that he wasnt really tested. I echo Scotty's comments. I was at the game last night and Dick was good (outside of the one moment in the first half) but wasn't tested too much. Was solid when we needed him. Onstad on the otherhand...

"Tricky" Dick Hastings. National loyalty.

This is why I seek out Charles Bannerman posts. Thanks for post this run down. It is by far the clearest, most comprehensive, and most direct listing I've seen.

Why havent we built on promotion to the top flight
This is not a new feat for the club. Richard Hastings has been involved with the Canadian National program during both his stints at ICT. He actually scored a game winning goal in the Gold Cup (a CONCACAF tourney...quarterfinal game vs. Mexico and Canada won the tourney) for Canada in 2000. Also, Davide Xausa was a member of the Canadian National program during his tenure at ICT.

Dickov and Huckerby to Toronto FC
There's a lot of TFC fans who'd agree with you. But if it's a 6 month/till end of season contract, it may be worth a shot. Where there is risk, there's usually an upside.

Dickov and Huckerby to Toronto FC
I don't care who it is as long as they can finish. I hope neither of these are DP signings, but either way there's still a bit of a numbers crunch as to who goes to make room.

Brewster in Salzburg
I can personally guarantee that there are 4 other people at most games (besides you and I) who know ICT. They've had to put up with my yammerings over the years. :004:

From todays P&J
I'm not really sure that it'a a minus right now :017: Especially after Colin Samuel missed a sitter PK last weekend. In one year we already hold 2 goal drought records (from start of season and longest goalless stretch) and they're two separate occasions.

ref for staturday
Eeesh. By chance has he done any MLS games yet? It looks like he'd fit in there no problem.

HEAVY HANDED STREWARDING FOR A CHANGE
is it by cheeting that you win your games If it is, we're doing a horrible job of that too....can't score, can't stop them on D, can't cheet either :crazy07: It's enough to drive you to buy another $13 beer at the game! :015:
