  1. I know many of you won't have followed the leagues across the pond, but I'd highly recommend Jason Kreis. His team is still in the playoffs over here, but he would be worth sniffing around IMO.
  2. Toronto Whitecaps! Who?! I'd take the Whitecaps squad as a replacement in TO if I could.
  3. You're too far west SP. And they claim that it's only us Ontarian's that are oblivious to the rest of the country :P Toronto has many, many streetcars.
  4. Here...I'll give you an outlier for all you stats types: 1 St. Marys, Ontario, Canada 2.St. Marys, Ontario, Canada 3 1994/5ish - thanks to Scotty's old Rivals site. I didn't get to my first game until July 28th, 2009. 4 Ingersoll, Ontario, Canada
  5. Interesting topic and one that comes up quite frequently with Toronto. Not a year has gone buy without some type of glamour friendly being played (mid season at that) with some team from Europe or South America on their pre-season warm-up tour. Ticket prices run 1.5-3 times regular game prices depending on what seating level you're in. At the start they were viewed with disdain by many but as time goes by that's turning more and more to open hostility (for a number of reasons...poor play...poor management...etc.)
  6. Well played IHE! I think we might have nicked the game but we tired in the end....perhaps I'll leave my snowshoes at home next time.
  7. I know Alex....I figured I'd get a good deed in. I may need the karma at some point and I'm in a fairly good mood today.
  8. Eh...have a look at the stickied threads ;) Where? Here... Linky linky

Best looking official site since they left CTO.
  11. I missed that. It can never be mentioned too often for my taste. ;)
  12. Paid for 2 via PayPal.
  13. Why not do both? Just like Maradona. Only a simple person would be limited by such a choice....and we know you're far from simple Johndo. :P
  14. I was just assuming IHE would do it. :P
  15. Congratulations to all on a job well done. :021: :clapping04: :hale: :party01: :party02: :salute:
  16. I'm surprised you could hear anything at all with your kilt around your ears as you moon the ref. :(
  17. Rooney's being played all wrong. He shouldn't be made to chase the ball down.....play it to him and let him flick off to Foran and/or Odhiambo and Sanchez. That's how we use Danny Dichio in Toronto and it can be very effective.
  18. Let the record show that after 12+ years.....I finally got to participate in a POTY poll. :(

IHE and I talked about this after the game on Saturday... Bulvitis - looks like he'll be solid, if unspectacular, at the back.....just the way you want your defence Eagles - I rated him more than others on here it seems....I think he'll do the job fine Cox - game winner....enough said Stratford - had some nice touches but wasn't stuck in enough Hayes - looked very promising.....I'm excited about him Sanchez - I was underwhelmed again. I hope it's just a match fitness issue
  20. Ahhh...thanks for the pic Mrs PB! Keep in touch for your trip to Montreal. Maybe I can even talk the wife into a weekend away and a hockey game :(
  21. Johndo.... It was a blast sitting up with the Immortal one for an away game. Credit to all the lads leading the singing....you were immense and would fit in well in the South End in Toronto. A fantastic first league game for me and it's unfortunate I won't be able to make more of them. Hopefully my spirit(s) will follow the team for the rest of the season :(
  22. Just like to thank everyone for the hospitality on Saturday. I had a fantastic time at the match. I even made the picture too ;) From the two games I saw I was very happy with the quality of play I saw. I'd rank it ahead of what I usually have to watch on a week in week out basis in the MLS. If any of you venture over to Toronto during the season let me know (or Scotty as well) and I'm sure we can scrounge up some tickets for you.
  23. Maybe too late but....what time is the train are you taking? I'm coming from Edinburgh too.
  24. IHE...I'll catch up with you at the Dunfermline game I believe
  25. I take it this is a Freudian slip which is suppressing any memory of relegation and that you really mean Inverness v Dundee on Boxing Day. I have never been in the Innes on match days but I could imagine Boxing Day would be a good one. Enjoy your trip to Inverness. EDIT - Alex, you seem to be suffering from the same Freudian slip! The lady is in the country at the moment touring with pipe band so I'm assuming she'e coming for the Dundee United friendly next tuesday. Alex...although I do show my legs on occasion, I'll wager you'll be in for quite a surprise if you think I'm a lady. Scotty can attest to my lack of femininity as we've passed each other in the line up for the washrooms at times.
