  1. Yes Scotland would be in a much better state if the massively subsidised, loss making nationalised industries had been propped up by government in perpetuity. The steel works in Motherwell were one of the larges in Britain. Yet it was shut down.
  2. They normally plough them in the spring DC. :D Oh right. Plowing is it for this one?
  3. Just had my Fecking Christmas Dance cancelled because the lazy ******** can't be arsed gritting and ploughing the roads again!
  4. I don't know how i will make it down to the game. Let alone helping with this.
  5. If Shay is such a magnificent keeper how come he had ten years of carnage in front of him at Newcastle? He was the only constant in that defence. He goes to City and the same happens. Richard Dunne becomes a "bad" player and gets punted. Micah Richards plays his way out of the World Cup. Lescott and Toure become duffers but according to the pundits he was Mark Hughes's best signing. He has had one clean sheet in the league since August. Silly thing to say. Given is a fantastic keeper and the Best in the EPL. To say otherwise is foolish.
  6. To be honest, Rage Against the Machine were and still are really well known over in the States. They arn't as big here, but they were still big before this whole thing. I would have liked to see Fairytale of New York top again. Wow thats a surprise !! The term " plastic paddy " could've been coined for you . Sorry. I forgot anyone who might like that song is classed as one of those :D
  7. Shhh you! It's a fantastic book!
  8. For any football fan, Fever Pitch is a must! It's pretty much the authors life based around being a football fan. It's chapters are written on games. So one might be "Arsenal vs Derby 1984" Or something. Get it!

  10. This is one of the best posts ever on here! I have not one iota of sympathy for hughes. Spent almost a quarter of a billion pounds and built a team that cannot keep a clean sheet. Man City may well win the league in the next few years but it will be a financial victory nothing more. Hughes is better off out of it. I have sympathy. A defense is something that needs to be moulded together. They need to know how eachother play ect. Up front, its much easier to get it right. Midfield is also a lot easier. But defence is always a problem and you need time to let all the defenders get to know eachother.
  11. If anyone watched the History of Scotland last week, you would have seen how much of a blight on Scotland Thatcher really was. Personally, i hold her the main reason Scotland is not in a better state as she ruined us for the benifit of England.
  12. If we can beat them in the league at some point this season i would be happy. Both are a must or Butcher doesn't even get the option to stay I agree. If we fail to beat County in the league all season and they finish ahead of us, he has to go. No ifs or buts. We were lucky to beat them in the cup and so far we have not been good enough to beat them in the league.
  13. Yes, they really are. Marius ring any bells?
  14. Fifa 10 is more realistic and a better all round game.
  15. yyyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaassssssssssssssssss!!!!
  16. I went to see them too and they were great! Shame this is the same day as the final game of the season. Which of course is Dundee at home!
  17. Metal Gear Solid is one of my all time fave series! I cannot wait for the new one to come out on Xbox. The new Final Fantasy is coming to Xbox also. So the way i see it, the only good games left on PS3 only are Grand Turismo! Xbox have far better Xbox only games than the Ps3 have Ps3 only. Roll on Mass Effect 2!
  18. We have about 20cm.
  19. Its done. Hughes out and Mancini in.
  20. Are you being serious? If you are, then the song is about rebellion and not going along with the rest. That those in power are just as bad as those who "Burn Crosses".
  21. I take it you don't really listen to the words of the song then? I think a download has to cost more than 40p to count in terms of chart position... (I must get my act together and buy this tune too...) I have been told it still count's though...then again....might not? When I first joined the RATM Facebook group set up to try and get the Christmas # 1 there was definitely something said about the download having to be over 40p to count, but I've just had another quick look and now it says that the 29p Amazon download WILL count, so you're alright :cold02: Cool! Every little helps! :P

  23. I downloaded it from Amazon for 29p! As long as it beats the X-Factor though, i would pay up to a fiver
  24. I got... Economic Left/Right: -4.59 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.72
  25. Corbett, Barker and Cleese! Sorry DC, but you probably don't get that one either. So, if you are born a WC is it possible to inoculate yourself against becoming an MC should you happen to become rich? Is this what Alan Sugar has done since it would appear from what has been said that the fact that he was born a WC guarantees him this status for life, despite the fact that he's worth millions? Is this some kind of jab you get along with tetanus and polio to stop you from ever becoming Middle Class? And if you are upper class (UC) but require conversion for political ends, is there some kind of upmarket pill you can take that will make you a WC? Is this what Wedgie took in order to make the downward class mobility from being Lord Stansgate (UC) through Anthony Wedgwood Benn (MC) to plain Tony Benn (WC). (Presumably he was still UC when he called his son Hilary because in WC terms that's rather like being "a Boy Called Sue") Old Chinese saying: "Socialism is the greatest political philosophy in the world - until you have to apply it to youerself." I wonder if some people, in middle age, ever look back on their former political views the same way as adolescents of the 70s do on their sartorial and tonsorial preferences? Well the fact is, Allan Sugar was born and raised a Working Class man. He was lucky enough to make himself many millions. So really, he is still a working class lad, as he worked for that money, though he is now in the Middle Class section of Society.
