  2. We are listening and willing the boys on to win this game by the only goal, crossed fingers touch wood & all that :D
  3. In normal circumstances a good result achieved last night, but was a point enough, are you confident that we will beat the drop? Midden fans gotta be xxxxxxx themselves.
  4. My sentiments exactly JB, imagine fidiling your TAX bill getting caught, and a simple apology getting you off the hook. the system stinks and to make matters worse they treat the people who they are supposed to serve with utter contempt. Its good that the media has started to expose the Tories, it shows that their morals are no different to the labour party.
  5. St Johnstone = Away win please
  6. Great result for the boys, made Saturday even a better day for me.
  7. Unlucky though to one of the other sleeping giants of English footall Bristol City, LOL, Seriously though great to see a new name up there challenging for a prem spot. Can't believe the Cardiff boyouys blew it.

  10. Its a funny old world, in todays Britain we seem to be labelled racist for a past time, it happens somewhere else in the world and our diplomat gets offended and walks out!!

Fair point Birdog, what about the copper appearing to have is face partly covered, was that cover police issued protection? or something more sinister.
  14. LIVINGSTON V MORTON = Draw will be fine.
  15. I guess a point would be good today, 3 and were in dream land maybe....Good luck to the guys today, and anyone attending have a great day out, will be keeping everything crossed down here.
  16. Im surprised with how Britain is going that she was not hauled through the coals and publicly sacked, especially where the BBC are concerned.
  17. Sum your week up in just one work, that word must start with the same letter as the first letter of your name. My week as been Dramatic.

    G20 Death.

I have no axe to grind on behalf of the police or the victim, I watched the video the day after the news came out and the points I made were how the situation struck me at the time. But that copper did seem to have is face covered, the sort of thing you would expect a thug to do. And if I were the victim and had my wits about me in that situation and I was a totally innocent bystander, Id have turned around and asked the police what the problem was or stood out of their way and appologized for being in the way, or would not have got in the way in the first place. Of course I was not there at all so I can only guess at what went on.

    G20 Death.

Two things that struck me about the video coverage were. 1. The copper who hit him had his face semi covered, is this general protection or is it just coincidence that its him semi disguised who hit out? 2. Were told the guy who got hit was on his way home from work, watch the video he seems to be walking very slow head down (ambling along) looks like he was almost out to get reaction with his hands in pockets so as not to be threatening? He must have been aware what was going on around him and that there were police officers coming up behind him, or maybe he was in the early stages of stroke?
  20. Following on from CaleyD's safe standing thread/petition, I was just wondering what posters would choose if they had the chance, down here in bristol we stand at the Rovers and I would not have it any other way. A few points i would make are; How the hell can you sit down if your passionate about your football, look what happens when play get exciting people will stand up anyway. Safe standing, what about safe seating, a few weeks ago I visited Herefords ground, we sat on seats that were perched on a very steep terrace, the implications of falling over the front of one of these seats does not bare thinking about. Wet seats Ive come across plenty of these including at the TCS, if your terrace is not fully covered would you rather sit or stand in the rain.
  21. I'd have thought Bristol would be the nearer Maybe I can enlighten you there guys, the term Gashead is used as a nick name for Bristol Rovers fans, myself one being my home town club, it derives from the days when Rovers played at Eastville Stadium, behind the stadium was the gas works. So to hear that another Gashead also follows the fortunes of Caley is good news, would be interesting to know where you get to at the Mem Gashead, assuming you do, I have been known to wear my ICT shirts in the ground & club house after the match.
  22. Ross County V Dundee = DRAW
  23. Yup, that one works for me too ..... and normally I have to switch the CD/iPod or whatever to one of my "coming home" songs ..... such as Frankie Miller - Caledonia, Big Country - Harvest Home / In a Big Country, or a few others I cant think of right now .... Good shout on Big Country, great Scottish band and provided a great soundtrack for a Scottish patriots film in Restless Natives. I love been Scottish and i'm proud of it. Proud of our history and what we have today, kilts, bagpipes, football, rugby, celidhs. Also our accents whether Highland or anywhere else we are easily spotted, which i love. Likewise Scotty/ajsict92 one of my fav coming home songs from Big Country is Far from me to you from the album Why the long face, the guitar solo towards the end is one for turning right up coming over the hill into Inverness. Good shout also CaleyD I like it :thumb04:
  24. Ross County = Home win
  25. Hell Renegade, thats grim, im proud of Scotland and im English, well to be absolutely correct English with Irish blood due to my grandfather being from Inniskilling, don't know if that irish connection is why I fit in well in scotland...But to be very honest I do truely believe that we will always be stonger as a united Kingdom/Great Britain, trouble is I dont see a lot of reason to call Britain great anymore, which is sad. There are two things that always give me a weird feeling of belonging though, one is coming into Bristol on the train and seeing the Clifton Suspension bridge, the other is coming over the hill on the A9 and looking down on Inverness.
