My worry with Butcher would be. Both ICT & Falkirk were in a dire position at the time of the last game of last season, if I remember rightly we required no better than a draw to save ourselves and put them down, you would presume that both squads were on a par with each other going by their league positions at this time, this leaves the motivational skills of the two managers and coaching staff, quite clearly we came out second best on that front!! as we did in the cup and league fixtures against Falkirk in March 2009. Thats a worry, but does it warrant replacing the management? Were the squad at the time capable of being motivated/want to be motivated?
  2. D Ream- Things can only get better.......about right I think!!
  3. Suggestion. - Use Tink instead of Gypsy or is that word also racist? It is my belief that once were all brain washed that using the word Gypo is no longer acceptable or decent in society, the lobby responsible for this will then be doing the same with the word Tink, this lot have got an agenda, not even sure who this lot are? but once theyve vetoed Tink then be sure it will be something else. Ive got a theory that its all about control!!
  4. The game on Sunday may be a distraction from the more important issue of the league, but how damaging would it be to lose again to County? Apart from the pride would it be no big deal?
  5. Don't mention the word Gypo anywhere near the Tulloch, it'll go down like a lead balloon
  6. This is a long drawn out thread, may I help out here. The answer is NO, that is unless anyone has a real credible reason why this is not the case Please lets not get jump on the Great British band wagon of every minority must be protected at all cost here, we will have to be hoping that the referee aint a Gypo or anything else come to that imagine not being able to berate him. Lets be fair here ref's are most definetly a minority. We must be getting to the stage now where if you stick all the minorities together there would be more of them than the ordinary folk out there does that make us a minority, if so when are the establishment gonna get off of our backs!!
  7. A point to prove here me thinks..... :018:
  8. A nail biter, but the right result in the end, well done lads.
  9. Two answers for this one, one already sort of mentioned. 1. That were all still here to laugh, cry, praise, Moan...The list goes on. 2. If we had beat County this thread would not have been started, that 3 points would have had us sitting close to top. The talk would have been completely different, thats football eh!! Enjoy your weekend every one and good luck to the guys tomorrow. :(
  10. A lot has being said about TB, I just wonder about his man management capabilities, you have to question his ability to motivate his players, last season against Falkirk needing a point to be safe, and Saturday against the arch rivals from up the road, the game that everybody wants to win. It does not matter who you are, or the quality of players at your disposal if you can't get them in the right frame of mind your in trouble.
  11. I did wonder myself.
  12. Good luck to the lads tomorrow, unfortunetly I leave for Bristol in the morning (out of my hands im afraid) but will be keeping everything crossed and hoping that we can build on last weeks result. Everyone enjoy and get behind the team, even half the effort of last week would be great.

Ah lets just sit on the good news for now, what will be next season will be, we could be selling more again in the SPL who knows!!
  14. No messing there then, Ive got a good tip for Norwich, look no further than Paul Trollop as your replacement, a manager with league 1 experiance, please take him
  15. Yep much better second half to be fair two great passes that resulted in the second goal which the lad done well to finish, great for the kids to be so close to the players, made my daughters day saying hello to Richie who replied politely back to her as he strolled down from the dugout. Good night had
  16. Hoping to be there + 2
  17. Munro my MOTM saturday, and no he was not wearing the captains arm band so far as I could see.
  18. Same team that started Saturday assuming Imrie fit, except Foran for Rooney up front. Would like to see how things work out with Sanchez & Foran together.
  19. This has probably been covered, but its true to say that the humble portacabin and the ladies who run it are very much part of the appeal of ICT for me, and I would say anyone who really does feel part of the fabric of their club, we have and still do have to a certain extent quirky things like this at Bristol Rovers, a tiny little shop in the main stand and the young pirates sweety shop in a portacabin, an open end with a tent structure to sit under etc. We were known as Rag Bag Rovers for along time in the 80,s & 90's but you know what, this forged a good strong family type club. This appeals to me, at a time when there seems to be less interaction between football clubs & their fans, and this has happenend to a certain extent at Bristol Rovers. It was always nice to pop into the ICT shop with the kids, be greeted with a warm welcome, quite often have the players around, who would not think twice to have a chat or sign an autograph, great ambassadors for ICT and you know what they say the first impression is the one that lasts with you. It will be ashame if this closure does indeed go ahead, and I would like to thank the ladies there for nothing ever being to much trouble, even going so far as to send pictures down to Bristol for us when the required signature had been applied, good on you. Your cabin will im sure prove to be a great loss to the club.
  20. There is another angle to this, you will always get an element who have been dragged up with no respect, no morals etc, I will give you one example that I witnessed a few weeks ago, a mother using four letter words at her child in the superstore. When this kid grows up, do you think he/she will think twice about using abuse at their own child, or a player from their chosen team!! Unfortunetly thats life today, all you can do is point the error of their ways out to these people, as has been done, and hope that they learn from their mistakes.
  21. The chants aimed at Kyle were the oly negative part of the day. Really disgusting. He is an ICT player and as such deserves our support. Where he comes from or who he fell out with had nothing to do with it. The stewards and police were excellent today and allowed us to get right behind the team so it's a real shame that a minority of fans chose to abuse one of our own players. A number of people around me didn't realise that the abuse was aimed at Kyle, but Kyle was aware of it and it'll do nothing for his conifdence. Thanks guys for creating a fantastic atmosphere today, but please refrain from personal abuse. I was sitting at the front, I heard the "singing" but I didn't have a clue who it was directed at until I was on the bus home & Kath told me.... If he ends up in goals for us, are they going to continue this? I bet none of them would be brave enough to shout that at a home match! Yes agree with all the above, it was a shame about the chant aimed at the lad Kyle because I thought that the support today was superb and a credit to ICT, so cut out the nonsence but keep up the rest.
  22. Good game for us over all, and job done getting 3 points in the bag, main worry today was up front, need someone there who can finish a fair percentage of any decent chances created, also need a little more composure on the ball when under pressure abit to much hoof ball at times. But well done to the team and the new lads who all look capable at times of being useful additions to the team. A good day out with the right result at the end.
  23. Were on the club mini bus
  24. Backward step getting rid of the shop, always find the ladies very friendly and welcoming, its good to have an outlet at the ground. Agree with the Immortal one with regards to the stall, simple ideal that would im sure would reap rewards, take the club to the people.
