  1. Great result for the boys, made Saturday even a better day for me.
  2. Unlucky though to one of the other sleeping giants of English footall Bristol City, LOL, Seriously though great to see a new name up there challenging for a prem spot. Can't believe the Cardiff boyouys blew it.
  3. I guess a point would be good today, 3 and were in dream land maybe....Good luck to the guys today, and anyone attending have a great day out, will be keeping everything crossed down here.
  4. Following on from CaleyD's safe standing thread/petition, I was just wondering what posters would choose if they had the chance, down here in bristol we stand at the Rovers and I would not have it any other way. A few points i would make are; How the hell can you sit down if your passionate about your football, look what happens when play get exciting people will stand up anyway. Safe standing, what about safe seating, a few weeks ago I visited Herefords ground, we sat on seats that were perched on a very steep terrace, the implications of falling over the front of one of these seats does not bare thinking about. Wet seats Ive come across plenty of these including at the TCS, if your terrace is not fully covered would you rather sit or stand in the rain.
  5. I'd have thought Bristol would be the nearer Maybe I can enlighten you there guys, the term Gashead is used as a nick name for Bristol Rovers fans, myself one being my home town club, it derives from the days when Rovers played at Eastville Stadium, behind the stadium was the gas works. So to hear that another Gashead also follows the fortunes of Caley is good news, would be interesting to know where you get to at the Mem Gashead, assuming you do, I have been known to wear my ICT shirts in the ground & club house after the match.
  6. Great result for the lads today, another step in the right direction. Also a great result for Bristol Rovers away to Wallsall 5-0...were you there Gringo?
  7. Dmacca replied to Kylef's topic in Caley Thistle
And from my past experiance a very friendly welcome and great service.
  8. The guy will always be a ICT legend, good luck to him on his move south though, my only regret is I wish I could have got to see him play more times than I have, with the club where he belongs.
  9. Easy quote to make IHE but here goes, I would swap going out of the cup today for three points next time we meet them all day, im sure we will survive, but it goes without saying its gonna be tough. Lets worry about cup glory next season.
  10. Get us out of this mess mate and you'll be on your way to being a legend in the Highlands. Great work keep it up and the best of luck.
  11. A great night for ICT, football is a game of what if's but 3 points at home last weekend would have seen us looking even more impressive, then again we would probably not have gained a result last night...funny old game!!! So yeah well done fellows, from the Mcquaid family in Bristol, and more than a few others who constantly keep hearing the name Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC down in these parts.
  12. Good luck to TB MM and the lads today from a very cold Bristol, the game would not have happened if it was being played down here..... Inverness CT manager Terry Butcher: "The boys are up, lively and very chatty I haven't heard them so vocal since myself and Maurice (Malpas) arrived," he said. "The confidence has definitely increased. "The guys have showed that they're enjoying the sessions but the most important thing is to take that onto the pitch on Saturday against Killie. "Everything we've learned from the training ground had to be reproduced come 3pm Saturday, where it matters. "Coming to work every day with a smile on your face really helps and being together breeds confidence and being in each other's company increases the belief." Nice one Tel
  13. Hey Blackie if you read this and you have a choice you better stay with us mate.... This message was from Millie Mcquaid if she was of working age shed pay your wages, LOL
  14. Great team performance today, gutsy, resilient, and nothing between the two teams on the day, loved TB,s interview after the game on Setanta, im sure he will get slated by the PC mob for the drink related slant, but as an ordinary bloke i can see where he was coming from. Heres to next week Tel.
  15. We met him at the ground Xmas time, he talked to the kids and popped out and came back with a training ball for my lad, what more can I say.
  16. Even if I think hard about it, cant see us going down, I hope im right.
  17. Its now down to you two to sort this club out, I am from Bristol and support my local club Bristol Rovers, I have been a season ticket holder for longer than I can remember, but since visiting the Inverness area with my kids five years ago we have been smitten with ICT, my kids have been mascots for the club and down here in their school everybody who knows them knows ICT, they even have their picture on show at their school from that day. My youngest girl is nine years old, her favorite player is not a BRFC player or a Ronaldo/Gerrard type, but is Ian Black, my son who is eleven thinks the world of the whole team especially Grant Munro Ian Black and Ross Tokely, and if you asked him he would also real off the names of John Rankin & Craig Dargo from the past. Weve had some great times with Inverness and have always been made very welcome, so welcome to you and heres hoping for a bright new future...Good luck from Bristol.
  18. Adam Barrett would have been a great signing from Southend!!! well at least I think hes still there.
  19. Dmacca replied to nak108's topic in General Football
Danny Rose from Newport County will fill the role, I have been told that TB knows him.
  20. How about the Saint George Cross.
  21. Not sure for me, but optimistic, its a good chance for the club to turn the corner build bridges and generally bring back the feel good factor. A new start.....use it.
  22. The lads here are right behind me!!
  23. Dont know what my emotions are on this one, I am happy that the club did not go back for a ex employee, it very rarely works in football, could the club of got anyone with a better pedigree than TB who knows, will it work or wont it, only time will tell. What this appointment does do is to start a new chapter for the club and hopefully bring stability and a solid foundation to build on and improve.
  24. Ok then girls....now lets move on, let this bloke get on with his duties, dont really know how I expect him to get on, but I really dont see us getting relegated... Good luck TB & Co.
